  1. I would echo most on here. One eye on the Friday night game before making the final decision on team. If airdrie lose by 2 or more I would rest Muirhead, fitzy and Graham. Bring in Ngwenya, O’reilly and Diack. Keep the rest of the team the same. If airdrie get a result then strongest team either way. I fancy us for this one and If graham plays I’m confident he’ll score. As for united final game I agree I don’t like the idea of changing the whole team and potentially getting pumped. But I would take the risk anyway and make as many changes as our squad size allowed without chucking in any youngsters with no previous first team experience(apart from very late on at most). Hopefully united will do similar and will be in party mood and won’t be arsed in equal measure. 2-0 Thistle, Graham and McInroy the scorers.
  2. Ah. Hahah my apologies. We did infact. I am getting old clearly. I really had in my head that both games away were 1-1 for some reason. Even recall thinking on my out of the second fixture about how we had drawn both games there 1-1. Dafty!
  3. I see a draw in this one, I equally see potentially 2 draws in both play off games with extra time and penalties eventually splitting the teams. At that point who knows. What I do know though is we have such a thin squad compared to last years play offs and will be playing much tougher opposition. It would take a miracle for us to beat Airdrie and Raith over 2 legs each and then the premier team with essentially no bench. Forgive me for being in play off mode already because to me personally at this point I am not that bothered about a 3/4th finish but I do understand the money aspect is important to the club. A win would make us favourites in the play offs you would have to say though on the back of 2 home wins and 2 away draws with your lot.
  4. Any you would take from this list? Obviously not all would be attainable for us but I think a lot of decent names in there. SOD would be the main shout for me as McMillan will likely be away. Doolan will know him personally so it’s one that makes sense to me as I think he could give us another good 2 years in the championship. I would take Kerr back also as a more obvious one but there is plenty of names in there I would welcome personally. Any takers ?
  5. Hmmm not sure I agree with this. I don’t claim to watch him week in an out of course but I have never once noticed him doing anything positive against us other than launching in his big throws.
  6. Don’t worry I assure you it was, hilarious watching that awful excuse of a footballer Strapp throw a strop. Wee Stevie roasted him all day got him booked and then sent him to the bench. Talking about tinpot is a bit mad coming from the worst football team in history.
  7. Hahhaahahah, Morton really are awful. 10/12 points thank you very much and off ye pop. I would rather go down to the lowland league than have to watch a football team every single week, that play the style of football Morton do. Genuinely in all my years watching football the ugliest team I have ever seen bar none across the season in our 3W 1D 0L against them. Robinson was outstanding. I have criticised Aero loads and occasionally McMillan too of late, but I thought both were superb today. Hopefully the turning point for our season as we are somehow still 3rd.
  8. Really not sure what all the QP fans here are greeting about. The penalty is a penalty all day long from our highlights. Not sure where this mindset is he “couldn’t wait to give it” comes from. Clear pen and almost every single one of qp’s yellows were the easiest yellows you’ll see for cynical fouls. I don’t think the ref was great but he certainly did not cost you the game. We have been on the end of some terrible officials recently. By no means was the ref great yesterday but I have literally seen far far worse on several occasion in the last month alone. Anyway rant over. As for the game I feel like I’m just saying the same as every week. Decent attacking and dreadful defending. Nothing new at this point and a point was probably fair overall despite our dreadful opening 20 minutes to the second half . McBeth, Milne ,Graham and big tomi off the bench all good performances. The rest were meh-shite.
  9. I would probably start with the same team but I think we will have opportunities to bring on others in this game. On Saturday it was about stopping the leaks and making it a physical battle against united. Not sure Queen’s Park are quite as physical and the game will likely be more open, with 2 sides going at each other. Which is why I wouldn’t mind starting the same and keeping that structure that improved our very leaky form, at least to begin with anyway. Not sure how this game will go tbh as I haven’t seen any of qp since the managerial change but if I was to guess, I would say a score draw. 2-2!
  10. I fear we are going to take a serious pumping. The manner of the defeats we have taken have been pretty hard to swallow on 3 recent occasions. Despite being completely our own fault bar perhaps the officials against Dunfermline. Losing in the way we did so in all those games has to have taken a serious knock to our confidence and mentality. I did however comment before Friday game last week that when fans of the opposition are expecting a pumping from us it gives me the fear. Maybe we can flip that and do as thistle do and surprise everyone when we’re expected to be pumped. Doubt it though.
  11. It always give me the fear when going into a game, all the opposition fans are expecting a pumping from us. That always leads to one thing with thistle. A complete and utter struggle that all outsiders don’t expect.
  12. I am genuinely begging for doolan to drop muirhead and particularly Sneddon. At this point it’s becoming a joke with sneddon. How many goals does he get to chuck before he is taken out. O’reilly in and give Stewart a chance in net. I won’t hold my breath tho as muirhead is clearly his mate. 6 goals shipped in our last 2 games, something HAS to change. If McMillan is fit bring him back in of course and I wouldn’t mind the same team outwith. I think we should really win this one comfortably, but we know exactly what that normally means for thistle. So will take any kind of shitey victory and I am fairly confident graham will score as he tends to go on little purple patches.
  13. I am also confused as to how anyone knows adeloye is injured ? Doolan himself said only Nwegenya, Mcginley and Robinson missing as expected. Not ideal if he’s is missing. Gutted for him if he is, as this will have been the chance he was waiting for.
  14. Well I worked that one out myself quite confidently knowing that the stand holds 1800 and you didn’t fill it. Would also add the crowd was exactly the number that was expected. The only difference being that it was split differently between the 2 stands. There’s something else you can stick in your trophy cabinet pal. Thistles twitters statements from 3 years ago that give you so much joy.
  15. Would also add everything that went on with crossing the pitch etc was very tinpot but ah well no biggy in the grand scheme of things as long as lessons are learned.
  16. I have clearly stated this twice now myself if you read up. What I would add is the club genuinely believe it was sold out. It was an error with the ticketing system, you lot are acting like the club lied to look more impressive intentionally. The club have even issued 2 statements apologising over it.
  17. Completely agree. I trust he is a man of his word, it’s more the players I worry about. Making an error early on them shitting it and going deeper naturally. I am confident generally but don’t want to be over confident ever with thistle. Tbf we as a club are clearly not to be trusted or believed when it comes to ticketing.
  18. In a stand that holds 1800? Maybe 2000 at a push but had several empty seats at both ends? If you say so.
  19. Doolan better not go out and sit in to defend our lead. Would be bitterly disappointed and puzzled if that was the approach he took as Ayr are not good at the back imo and we should be coming flying out the traps to try and bury the game early. Continue on from last week and get a 1/2 goal lead to knock the stuffing out of Ayr and then can make changes. This is thistle however so not getting excited till I hear the full time whistle go and know if it’s job done or not. Killie or Ross county for the winner it seems as well. Not sure who I would prefer should we make it. Killie certainly more practical if nothing else.
