  1. Your first paragraph describes the status quo between tier 4 and 5, which has been in place for 8 years without any serious challenge or any daylihgt. And i get your second point (although 3 clubs and not 2) but part of me thinks that the LL now needs to make the very most of having the 3 x biggest hitters in the land inside the tent and to use them to try and effect the greater good for all levels of pyramid.
  2. Spot on. And the amount of folk buying it is odd, as he's trying to preserve the current difficult route from Tier 5 to 4. (Which incidentally is a harder route that 5 to 6, due to the fact that there is no automatic relegation from Tier 4 to 5)
  3. As quite a few clubs / posters and fans have stated today, this is happening now, so best to try and make the best of it. For me, more interestingly now is how quickly this SFA Pyramid review gets started, and in what format. Even those vehemently against B Teams should be using this review as a chance to be heard and really try and force the SFA / SPFL to have a proper look at what the future pyramid looks like and how to improve it. I'd suggest some broad agreed principles like every champion is promoted in future etc. I also wonder, if (and its a big IF) such a review does indeed help open up the pyramid further for greater promotion from all Tiers, have the LL done the right thing by engaging B Teams for a short period to help deliver a greater good? Or not?
  4. How can this happen in a league full of so many "proper teams" and full of "integrity?"
  5. Shambles of a League. Who in their right mind would schedule a match for a night like tonight? Everyone saw this coming and it's now a shit show
  6. To be fair, Rob Roy were only in the relegation zone because they had 4-5 games in hand of teams above them like Benburb, Glencairn and Benburb, and they also won 1-0 at Talbot, who still had plenty to play for at the time.
  7. There wasn't a LL when Gretna went bust, but on you crack. And don't take things so seriously, it's only a game of fitbaw.....
  8. The LL League currently offer more promotion and relegation than the HL and the SPFL in the Pyramid, but I would also like to see it open up more.
  9. Ironically every team in the WOSFL could have applied to be a proper Tier 5 several years ago, but opted not to. They now want to run the show before even completing a full season in the Pyramid and before they have even balanced their own conferences, which seems premature. But for what it's worth, I think there should be greater promotion and relegation.
  10. No they never, it was the SFA that did this, you are spreading incorrect information.
  11. Notice the tweet from Pollok is now long gone, possibly embarrassed that someone was using it to shamefully try and sell Amateur players after disbanding their 20's team in March. My nephew plays for a West based Dev League side and apparently the Lowland Dev League will be taking a far tougher stance on all forms of standards next season, as there are toom many teams still acting like boys clubs.
  12. It was also suggested that they may use a small amount of the monies to improve the social media / website and general Comms, but don't know if this has transpired, although the social media looks better and website now appears to be getting updated quicker and with real time scores
  13. Nothing, yet, or according to the the conversation I heard in January. One guy said they had used some to pay club insurances, but this wasn't confirmed.
  14. I was told the same thing at Peffermill when the League Treasurer was within earshot. But that probably doesn't fit the fake news agenda of the poster who just claimed otherwise.
