  1. Jack Brydon had a superb game, continually shouting instructions and encouragement, and being in the right place to score, perhaps rather a flukey goal. Doherty worked really hard and played very well, and his goal was superb. Great break by Queens from a Cove corner, Lewis on the ball, with Kyle D to his left and Lee to his right. He chose Kyle. Gav was getting ready to go on to replace Kyle D before he scored, so was obviously always going to happen. Never really looked in doubt after that. Both keepers were comfortable. Harry didn't have a lot to do regarding facing shots, Gordon made a great double save. And no, Megginson and Harry didn't collide, the subs were made during the interval. With Jack back perhaps we can go on to better things.
  2. And while we are going on about the damn sign, what about the clock at the Glasgow Street End, still showing twenty past one. It just makes me think that something so easy to fix, in both cases, doesn't give a good impression of our club. Surely a member of the club staff could just go out to the sign and, if not able to put up the correct details, take away the Kelty Hearts rubbish, and the fixture list. Not sure how easy it is to change the clock, or put a new battery in, or whatever it is, but come on Queens, we've been going on about this stuff for a while now, surely something can be done. Rant over, good performance yesterday. Shame about the guys invading the track at McClelland's goal. If they hadn't done that, perhaps the second yellow wouldn't have appeared. But how many times do we see players going over to their fans to celebrate a goal, without punishment? I'll be watching TV closely now for such instances. Come on Queens!!!!!!
  3. Thanks for that. And open for anyone who knew about it to watch?
  4. For anyone who is interested, the official attendance at Livingston on Saturday was 511.
  5. Both counts including myself, although Linlithgow was difficult, exact to within 10, but no way would I have a figure ending in 0.
  6. No interviews after Airdrie and Kelty as Sandra is on holiday. Remember everyone behind the scenes is a volunteer!!!!
  7. Just got round to looking at P and B after Tuesday night. First of all, don't know if anyone else has the same view, but, that was my first of my 7 visits to Aye Brokes that we weren't abused. It may be that the wee neds who usually sit over to our left didn't bother coming as, of course, everyone has to pay, so there are 'bigger fish' for them to abuse than us. I walked from the city to the ground, and back after without fearing for my life. I actually started chatting to 2 girls on the way back, who had blue and white scarves on(no red) and mistakenly assumed they were Queens fans, until I realised. Doh!!! Further along another girl was shouting(at around 1030pm) 'are Queens winning yet'. Told her we lost, asked if she was a Queens fan, 'No, I'm a Celtic fan'. She was rather the worse for wear!! I would also add that the 3-1 defeat was the biggest defeat I have seen there, fortunately I was on holiday for the 5-0 defeat or I would doubtless have been in attendance. For this game I hummed and hawed a bit before deciding to go, just because of previous fan related experiences, but I'm really glad I went and I thought we played really well, and what a goal. Someone mentioned earlier about Sir Stephen scoring 42 goals 3 seasons ago, of course the figure was 43!!! Noticed the year 1872 got a lot of mentions everywhere around the ground. What would the significance of this number be for a club formed in 2012? Finally, unless we get drawn to play the rangers at Aye Brokes again, I suspect it will probably be my last game there. Looking forward to the Pars game on Saturday and hopefully we can continue our excellent form.
  8. Regarding the lackof a commentary on the Elgin stream, the chap who normally does it is a Queens fan, and wanted to be with the fans. Fair enough. Regarding the Assistant Referee giving McKechnie's goal, no, it wasn't Douglas Ross.
  9. Only one thing to say. How did Lee Connelly miss that chance? If you wanted the chance to fall to anyone, he would be the man. Thought we played well today, and it was a really good game. And, for the first time this season, I managed to get home to Edinburgh on the same day as the game took place, just, by 21 minutes. Looking forward to going to Elgin next week. Hope Ayr can beat Annan to make things interesting. Ok, that was more than one thing, but, whatever!!!
  10. I thought we were great last night, but as RJC88 said, Ayr had over 20 shots and I don't know how they missed with some of them. I thought Max had a bit of a shaky start but by the end of the game he was possibly man of the match. We probably rode our luck at times, but how often have we been the team missing all the chances. To catch the train at 2147 and not miss any of the game I had to leave after 85 minutes and ran up to the home end, from which fans were streaming out, to watch the last few minutes. It was fairly quiet and almost lonely by this time. I caught the train ok, lots of Ayr fans already at the station, but, as Part time supporter mentioned in an earlier post, and not due to any cancelled trains this time, I was still on the same train as Saturday night, but this time managed to get home at 0115, but a much happier journey home. Roll on Saturday and thanks to Annan for now giving us a chance to still win the group, although maybe they are the favourites now, with 2 home games aginst Ayr and Elgin.
  11. Regarding Finlay Jack, I think he has done a great job, especially the match commentaries and the player and manager interviews. All the best to you Finlay in your new job.
