  1. I hope Fyvie gets closed down and kicked around a little. Too often he's left on the ball to dictate play. I want our midfield giving him a nightmare on Saturday.
  2. Cove signing Luis Longstaff and losing Rory McAllister in the same window is fantastic business. 3-1 QP
  3. I have nothing to add. I’m just keeping the thread in sight for our friend 1320Lichtie
  4. Fancy us after that performance on Saturday. Surely we keep the same system and line up and gather momentum. I prefer two strikers on the park and it worked nicely at the weekend. Arbroath results and goals scored indicates you aren't where you were last year? Many pundits say Joel Nouble was the main man but without him the performances dropped? QP 2-1 win. We score goals but there will be a set piece to defend at some point....
  5. Absolutely love how Coyle has us playing balls over the top in behind. It suits Murray so well and Scotty is clever and quick enough too. Ellis and McKinnon football was so boring, slow and predictable. All QP fans could tell you the next 3 passes with them. Coyle has us playing in behind when it’s on, the technical passes through the lines to Savoury when it’s on or the wide men are great options and the goals are coming. Dynamic is the word! I’ve been banging on for a couple years to play balls in behind because Murray has the energy and drive to make it work. It’s not hoof-ball and just punting it long. Well placed chips in behind their back line with Murray and Scotty causing havoc, stretching play, getting us up the pitch and holding it up for the midfield to support or driving for goal themselves. Scotty could have had a couple with the balls in behind yesterday. Defenders all say they hate running back to their own goal. Ellis and McKinnon had us playing all our football in front of opposition defenders and it just doesn’t work as the only option! Very happy with Coyle and the team set up. We’re scary at defending set pieces and we do have horror spells when we sit too deep (which I’m not sure is Coyle instruction or natural from the team). Anyway, yesterday was a great win and this team can score goals. Happy days. I’ve said it before but I would rather win 3-2 than 1-0!! Mon the Spiders man.
  6. 4-0 prediction? What are yous scooping during recording? Great podcast again; making my work easier.
  7. Confused why we let Doyle go… surely a good squad player. Defence was a mess at the end with injuries. Liam Brown and Patrick Jarrett struggled today sadly. I’m not sure Liam will cut it this year but hopefully wrong because he is silky on occasion.
  8. Wow that was a great game. Loads of chances for both teams. QP excellent in the first half If the boys get the confidence high and into a scoring groove we could be on for a right good season because that team will create. ICT looked a lot fitter than as I must say… hopefully not the case for the full season. Charlie Fox is my hero. C’mon the spiders 🕷🕸
  9. Me no thinks our recruitment has went exactly to plan this summer. The squad is light and if boys do come in it's harder to get them integrated and match fit in our system at this stage. Interesting to see how we compete but my expectations are quite low after the Dundee and Hamilton fixtures. Expectations can shift as we progress though; especially if we sign a few more (looking unlikely). All the punters on Twatter say Partick, ICT and Dundee are favourites... but I don't know. It'll be a special day for QP fans however starting our journey at Championship level. QP win 5-0.
  10. Young Queens Park to lose 3-2 against that side is unreal to be fair Great effort.
  11. The total cost for Falkirk Stadium, Firhill and Ochilview must be shocking. The Committee and Leann Dempster are totally inept. Couldn’t care less about her previous roles, she’s utterly incompetent and the club deserves better stewardship.
  12. I think Coyle was a little generous in his post-match analysis haha. We could have been skelped in that first half! We had our chances too though. Plenty of good play in the 2nd and a great finish by Louis. Two evenly matched sides trying to play football on the deck. The game had a bit of needle as well. Dundee are quite nippy, to which they would argue streetwise. If we can compete like that every game this season it'll be magic. It's great listening to Coyle speak with the media team. I always felt Ellis was arrogant at times and didn't give detailed and respectful answers. Ellis and McKinnon would say the same thing every week. Coyle is enthusiastic and engaged, it reflects on the park and in the group. We need a decent win on Saturday to have a chance of progression. 9 points with a strong GD is hopefully enough. Premier Sports Cup action in Hamilton, and it's LIVE.
  13. Enjoyed that. Something that’s been missing, good luck with it️️
  14. Another centre half is surely a priority... very risky only having Fox and Kilday. I think Brown and Longridge may struggle this year. Centre back, midfielder and winger would be great.
  15. Sorry but the fan pics initiative is a shocker. Fan pictures celebrating goals are priceless and appreciate being in one but half time eating pies and minding your own business I find totally bizarre.
  16. QPFC Stats page on Twitter: “Last night's attendance of 220 is our lowest recorded home gate, beating the previous lowest of 273, set in a Scottish Cup match against Edinburgh Uni on 17th Dec 1973, which was played at 2:00pm on a Monday afternoon following the introduction of the three day working week.“
  17. 100%. It'll be harder against better opposition but at least the signs are there. The defenders making first time passes and releasing it fast which was interesting. It defo looks like Coyle has instructed them to move it quicker and get it into the attackers feet to create. Very obvious last night. I'd rather we won a game 5-2 than 3-0 for example. More goals and taking risks is what I'd like to see... hopefully exciting football this year.
  18. Enjoyed that tonight. We’re so direct in our play it’s great. Passing between the lines and players drifting into pockets. Savoury does it perfectly, a lot didn’t come off for him tonight but I think he’s going to be good this year. I didn’t see much from Dom Thomas but more to come I’m sure. Simon looks fit and hungry. A full pre-season serving him well. Williamson’s pace and desire was terrific for his goal, superb. Big Kilday with the brace, great night for him. 9 goals in 2 games is magic regardless of opposition. Tougher test next week, looking forward to cutting our teeth against Dundee. If Lewis Moore is fine to have that impact every week that’ll be fine by me.
  19. I couldn’t make it yesterday. Was this formation correct?
  20. Punters on here recognising the scotts brand or not gives a decent age indicator. It’s a popular online shop for todays urban youth It’s a sponsor; highest offer wins. I think “scotts be part of it” looks smart and a quite fitting. People/brands want to be part of our journey.
