  1. Absolutely buzzin to whip Morton at their own patch. That would be magic.
  2. Aye you’re probably right. Maybe briefly at Morton.
  3. Have we signed anyone who hasn’t previously worked under Ray? I thought Slater but I believe he was with him at Dundee Utd. We might be similar to Cove last season, strong team with limited numbers. I think they didn’t have a full bench against us. Didn’t stop them winning most weeks mind you.
  4. B&Q have a sale on black and white spray paint.
  5. Pleased to see the stand will be extended closer to the pitch (assume that’s what’s going on). Definitely makes for a better stadium regardless of the size.
  6. Stirling away first game of the season. Usually a terrific wee day out. Shame if we can’t go. I’d like to go to Stranraer too since it’s been awhile. First meeting with Edi City is December. The league might be taking shape by then and I’m sure they’ll be a favourite again this year.
  7. I’ve been informed, you’ll just have to take my word for it. He wasn’t offered any contract from Ray/QP. We’ve lost a quality young talent for the future to a club 2 leagues above for £0 so it doesn’t really matter but I’d prefer the record to state the truth. He wasn’t part of the gaffers plans. I’m not sure if Alloa have the hybrid contracts for part/full time players or not
  8. He didn’t leave because of full-time football. McKinnon didn’t want him. Said this a few times. Frustrated we’ve lost a good player to a championship club. Don’t understand the decision at all. Best of luck Nicky
  9. “I’m a leader, I’m a winner and I don’t want to lose” Come on in. ️️
  10. Thanks for correcting me, that’s good to know. Cheers.
  11. Decent player so I’m told. Can play left back or centre back. I’m not sure how many more of his ex players he can recruit but it’s exciting to hear new names. One positive is they know how McKinnon ticks and what his expectations will be. I’d assume McKinnon won’t sign any player he’s had bother with in the past so the relationships will be strong.
  12. Sean Burns signs for Stranraer. I’m looking forward to playing them. I’m sure Sean has developed further since his time at Queen’s.
  13. Not the case. He was let go by McKinnon. Nothing to do with work commitments I can confirm.
  14. I'm still unclear as to why it has to be an expensive 'safe standing' set-up? We aren't in the top flight, all the teams around us have terracing or free standing around the ground. Surely we could have a section the same? No club outside the prem has safe standing so i don't see why its a requirement for Queen's.
  15. 2/20 isn’t too convincing but fair enough. Possibly 3 if Sal stays. He’s let go Main, Moore, Jamieson, McGrory who are all learning their trade. He’ll need to recruit a lot to get an 11, a full bench and some squad players. The youngsters I’ve listed could have stayed and developed. I also thought the idea was to sell players for a price and not give them to our competitors for free? Our YPOTY going to Stirling is the first example. I think he’s going in his own direction. That’s fine btw, our team is forming strong. The players that have arrived are exciting. Just my thoughts.
  16. Me too but there’s a wee voice in my head saying it’s not suited to Mckinnons plans. Just the manner in which he cleared the squad and is recruiting chaps he has relations with makes me think he won’t be bringing anyone back to the club who left in previous seasons. Could be wrong but I feel he’s set out a clear direction and won’t have anyone in who's worked under previous QP coaches.
  17. Happy about McLean. Like you said, he’s dangerous and ghosts past players on the wing. Wee shame if Salim leaves. Only benefit is Jolene won’t be played after we score. Worst fitbaw celebration song I’ve heard at a game.
  18. https://spfl.co.uk/news/ladbrokes-league-2-team-of-the-season-defenders Vote for Nicky Jamieson. I was gutted he was released tbh. Thought he had so much to offer. I’ll be raising questions if there isn’t a top quality replacement because Nicky was my man of the season. He didn’t leave because of work priorities he was just let go.
  19. Yeah just to be clear that’s not my opinion. I know how hard it is to get promoted. Every team does their best with the budget they have.
  20. It’s an interesting time in that respect and I trust the club is doing everything to seize the opportunity. Attracting bigger crowds doesn’t bother me necessarily; I think it matters a lot to bigger clubs with ego’s. But, more people through the gate supports the club and the players on the park so it’s a must have going forward imo. Hampden is a great stadium when it’s busy but isn’t worth going to twice when it’s empty if u don’t support anyone playing. We all have the mutual consensus that Lesser can be more community orientated and friendly with a good atmosphere. QP fans enjoy a sing so it shouldn’t be too tricky if we get a wee section at Lesser. A quality halftime pie helps too. As a younger fan, there is definitely an ageing population in the stands. We need to get some youngsters involved. As long as they don’t have a drum. Reasonable gate ticket prices at Lesser will help. We’ll get stick this season but we’ve also been branded ambitious. Some L2 clubs are considered “dead wood” and have been criticised for being complacent and happy to drift around L2. People won’t be saying that about us so that may attract people.
  21. https://spfl.co.uk/news/ladbrokes-league-2-team-of-the-season-goalkeeper Remember to vote for Willie as L2 keeper of the season.
  22. On that note though, i'd like to see Kurtis Roberts back. From the last i saw he wasn't getting a game at Airdrie and now we'd be willing to pay him...who knows? Aye decent shout. Kurtis battles every game and scored some beauty’s. He’s probably filled out a bit more too.
  23. Hahaha I forgot about that. Try it anyway Good thing I can edit.
  24. If we’re signing players like McHugh, then I reckon we could procure some of the leagues best to QP. I have no idea what the contract situations are at opposition clubs or players satisfactory levels but it would be good business to sign some of our competitors key players. Improving the squad with the leagues best while stripping competitors of their talent. Henderson and Balatoni at Edi City are the standouts for me. They’ve still not been able to get promotion, maybe they would accept the challenge with QP..
  25. Showing real intent with signing McHugh. Hopefully MacLean is signed for next season. He was a handful for fullbacks. Sal and McHugh sounds dangerous. We’ve played 1 striker for some time with wingers as support. 2 strikers would be good viewing. If the quality is there then we should be as offensive as possible in L2.
