To be fair to Miller I think he wanted us to play a certain style that Lithgow wasn't the best at but I'd rather have a solid back line than trying to play pretty and get caught out for cheap goals. Surprised to hear he was being such a c*nt, but doesn't surprise me.

Is there much substance to these Cammy Smith rumours? He obviously isn't in Stubbs best books but doubt we could get him. On another note, that was a pitch-perfect performance at the weekend. The sour taste in my mouth has gone with Kenny no longer around. If the Brown thing is also true I don't want anyone at the club doing there agent-mate a favour over bringing in quality. Lithgow may be one of the boys chopped from last season. He played okay against Airdrie but you could see Kenny getting annoyed when folk were dropping deep and he was smashing long balls up the park. If he is on the bench he isn't a bad option to bring up if we are trying to see out games. Though Saunders had a good game yesterday.

I am fully behind him and positive about the season coming, to the point that I think we will surprise a lot of people. But I think as fans we can express concern early on. No one is calling for him to be sacked or saying he won't do a good job. Just that some aspects early are concerning but hope that it changes. When you consider some of the stuff online from St Mirren fans Re: Stubbs I think we are in good place going forward and as a fanbase aren't getting ahead of ourselves.

Completely agree with everything you've said. He was signed as a manager/marquee striker signing. This can only work if he trusts the backroom and if he trusts the players around him. At the moment it strikes me as trusts neither. Hopefully this will come in time. On the pitch he does seem to believe he is a class above and doesn't let the game build with our more than capable midfield. Would prefer Miller and Miller partnership if Kenny will stay up there. But when Hardie is back I think the fans will lose their patients quickly with Lee or Ryan on the bench with Kenny putting in poor performances. As the Alloa manager said pre-season about 'player/managers' the hardest decision he will need to make this season will be when to take a step off the park and manage if times are tough.

I wasn't questioning his position before the ball was lost. He is exactly where he should be. I'm questioning why he felt the need to try and intercept a ball 30 yards outside his box when he wasn't going to get there. It is fairly simple. You stay in the box and you can use your hands, give the striker a decision to make. The majority of the fault lies with Halkett and the poor ball back to him. But Two games and two goals conceded from poor decision making by Kelly.
