current walk-up prices
I've got to ask
When I was a boy, i went to Somerset and got thrown over the turnstile. It was £10 per adult or £5 per child (unless they were small enough to get thrown over the turnstile.)
What were the walk in prices when everyone was younger? My first game was in 1998, so £10 entry was not bad (I presume)

When McGinty joined at first he was good in the air but an absolute bombscare using his feet but i would say he has improved on that side of his game while at the club, there's nothing to say Sanders can't make that improvement too.
Ah, You could argue that McGinty improved a lot under Bullen. I was a hater originally. With Bullen gone now, it'll be good watching to see how Sanders turns out under Brown if he is signed permanently.

Listen boys, I'm no everyone's cup of tea on here and that's ok but I found out my granda died just before kick off. It was him that got me into Ayr, the first game he took me to was a 5-0 win so the boys did something really special for me today.
I'm sorry for your loss. Your Granda sounds like a legend 5-0 on your first game? Sounds like he was a very proud Granda that day

If we were rebuilding the team for next season, Teale of Arbroath looked not too bad today. I believe he's on loan from Fleetwood? Scott brown link there? (I don't know) I think he'd do well with a older, wiser defender next to him such as McGinty, like Kirk did last season (he came from Arsenal, a much bigger team)......
(That and I'd love to have Teale on the back of my Ayr shirt again, with reason )

Franny starts and we win 5-0. Coincidence? I think not.
Was literally just going to say that
Mcgeady is done.

'Murals are the 21st century statue' - Liverpool's iconic artwork - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/68718687
Know it's been discussed before but a mural right along the wall of the SRE would be incredible.
What iconic images/players would we want on it?
Should definitely have a collage of all of these pictures put together. Like one of the 'Lots of smaller pictures makes a bigger picture' idea.

This can only be a good thing and possibly the potential of a few under 21 players at Ayr Worked with Daniel Harvie, Doohan, McKenna etc....

We narrowly missed out Paton so then went into panic scatter gun mode and went for Graham and McKay. Both would’ve been decent signings but neither would’ve made sense as a long term replacement for Dipo as they have zero resale value.
The striker position has been a hard one to fill for a few seasons now though. Ayr really Lucked out on Akinyemi.
We had Adeloye on trial and he did well enough to get a contract, he's went on to Partick and seems to be doing okay.
Muhammadu Faal was on trial in those games too, seems to be scoring quite a lot of goals in the league Akinyemi came from (However, looked like Bambi on ice iirc)
The sad thing is now, we don't have the Moff. Finding another Moff is an impossible task. I honestly think Ayr would be higher up the league if we had the Moff of five years ago.

He'll be 36 next season, hard pass.
Brian Graham will be 37. These were players that were targets in the bullenesque era.

Hilarious that we tried to sign them both and ended up with Rose!
You'd think that if Inverness get relegated, there'd be a higher chance of McKay signing for us. Though I'm sure he'd have a few offers.

It's honestly the same as Brian Graham scoring against Ayr, Billy McKay scoring against Ayr is almost inevitable
Still, not too bad so far.

Does pvc leave marks on the seats though?

I do love some of the absolutely random sponsors. Can't be many clubs who have the fullhearted support of their local boiler insurance firm.
There will be folks putting flags over the sponsors at bigger Games, you'd think?
It'll look really nice when finished. Though I do agree with @Rb123that a splash of black and white would make all the difference. Hopefully the seating is Black and White ......or maybe it'll be like one of those stadiums with the club name across the seats?
I'd personally settle for black seats with white seats spelling 'F.T.K'
Exciting stuff this construction porn.

BTW how shit are weekends without an Ayr game? It's like having two Sundays.
Football manager is the only substitute for weekends like this However..... Watching an Ayr Team in the European cup against FC Basel is a little unrealistic and doesn't give you the same feeling as a real life game

I always look at these things like:
Clarke is a Celtic Player on loan here
Albinson is one of our own
Both will probably be gone at the end of the season.
So hopefully someone will come in and challenge Mutch, or we get Clarke in on loan again
Personally, I'd like us to do better than both.

If Ayr play like they did Tuesday, then I think we should pip them.
The mid boggler for me is Dowds/Willoughby How do you play them both? Willoughby's double on Tuesday and Downs being our best striking option.....there has to be a way to play both.

We are at too critical a stage of the season to be pissing about playing players out of position and making do.
I agree, though in fairness, Fraser Bryden looked good in midfield yesterday.

Absolutely. He said there were a number of people trying to by the club and the majority of them were chancers. The only ones that Went public were Kennedy of Kennedy construction who went bust months after trying. Brian Gilmour who pissed off after being told to sort the stadium first and the Rosta-roof guy who went full breakdown and then went bust.
I'm just pleased that, if anything, David Murray didn't get his way and went to the team formerly known as Rangers instead.

He also had the ice hockey team and Centrum was his pet project. He must have rented out every flat in Ayrshire for ice hockey and football players. It was good times under him.
The Centrum was absolutely brilliant. I'm never completely sure on these things but I believed it was a gift to the public. It's a travesty that I have to take my son to Saltcoats to go skating nowadays, with a shitty Sainsbury's sitting where I once had great fun ice skating as a child.

Bill Barr piled money in and would have built a new stadium if it weren’t for planning roadblocks. Devotion wasn’t an issue, having too much faith in Dalziel was.
I'm sure there were a lot of political things that got in the way of Bill Barr building a new stadium for Ayr, again, I was only young and couldn't understand any of it. It seemed to me that he focused more on the Ayr Scottish Eagles than Ayr united back then.
At 8/9 years old, when you hear the chairman of the team you support, helped construct parts of Rugby park, you have nothing but questions

I remember one of the cafe vans in the Sre did a hotdog for a quid can't remember when though.
