  1. ^^^thomas Meggle imo Nah just clarfying that the point you're making is shite.
  2. Probaby loads, but not many folk care in Scotland if Thomas Meltzer went on to be a Legia Warsaw legend (made up but could well of happened).
  3. I think we will certainly see a few German faces pop up, much like we do now with English guys like Gabby McGill, Bowman, Coley etc. Think a lot of folk are jumping to conclusions that our who squad is going to be filled with non-league Germans though. I expect that Scottish players will continue to dominate our starting 11.

Some very big clubs in there.
  5. Which of course means f**k all in terms of how competent they will be as club owners.
  6. Ross seems 100% convinced by this. Never seen him so happy. He's never come across as a guy who gets carried away and full of hyperbole but hear him say that he's ''had to pinch himself'' sounds very encouraging.
  7. I think the status quo could lead to the club going stale and a dwindling fan base whilst coasting in the Championship mid table. Sounds like Ross and the board felt this was the only way to inject a bit of life back in the club and help us achieve our Premiership ambitions. If the Germans take us from this point to being a KIllie or Motherwell, the value of the club would be much greater than it is now. It might not be soley money orientated, maybe it's lifetime ambition to own a football club. I'm sure they are aware that there are more lucrative investments than a Scottish football club.
  8. I Googled DAFC Fussball gmbH. Low and behold Jambos Kickback pops up. Couldn't help but look. Apparently ourselves and Rovers are screwed due to their imaginary boycott. We are losing 100k from the two home games against them etc. Admin 2 was a matter of time etc. Their bitterness goes beyond normal behaviour, some real weird stuff on that site.
  9. Maybe a wee challenge to take a club with bigger potential from mid table championship club to established Premiership club. Bit like a rich man's game of FM. Of course it will create suspicion, but the way they are looking to implement the investment makes me a bit more comfortable with their intentions. There are a lot of restrictions put in place from the current board that stops asset strippers coming in a raping the club. No way the current board would give this the go ahead with out being confident that this is the best for DAFC.
  10. The way East End is set up makes it impossible to change use unless they build us a new stadium.
  11. Sounds to me that they are willing to put serious money into the club but not willing to squander it on just buying over priced players. Sounds like the are going to fund our own youth system and training facility and take a long term approach that will bring Premiership football on a sustainable basis. Think I'm dreaming. The is fucking excellent news.
  12. Interesting. We're going to be a feeder club for an English team or something along those lines
  13. Czech now on the quarantine list. This will mean players being quarantined on their return and missing matches for their club. Will game still go ahead?
  14. At the risk of sounding billy big baws, I think Alloa is probably a better envirnonment for players making the step up from league 1. Pars will generally have players with bigger or similar reputations already at the club and the player from league 1 has to compete with a player or earn their place from the bench first. Being made to feel a bit more special and starting games as a new signing can encourage players to perform better and settle easier.
  15. Did hospitality down there two seasons ago. Really good value for money, excellent City for a night out and really friendly fans. Recommend it.
  16. Fred Bachirou signs for Nottingham Forest. I mind a time I thought he would be a 'decent' signing for Pars.
  17. Alloa beat us 3/4 games last year I think? Our games against you guys are probably not a good fixture to judge Nisbet or any of our players for that matter. I can assure you that Nisbet was excellent for us at times but understandably, everything Pars is fucking horse shite in the eyes of Alloa fans.
  18. Fred Bachirou has signed for Nottingham Forest from Malmo. Didn't realise the guy went on to such heights. Always decent for you guys many moons ago. Still only 30
