  1. Exactly what I was saying during that second half. The one guy in midfield who can put his foot on the ball and keep possession.
  2. He was the reason we won today. Two quality goals that none of our existing strikers would've scored. Not sure why so many Pars fans were miffed at him signing for us.
  3. If you saw us against Raith you would say differently. We are capable of a lot better but granted we are always pish against Alloa for some reason. We still can't figure out how to negate Alloa's possession game after a few years now.
  4. Canny believe we are winning this game. At least we have changed the shape now
  5. Half arsed after the goal. Crawford is not getting the best out of these players.
  6. Looking at our current squad even without Dow, it's a strong group of players compared to most clubs in this league. Time has come to get a run of results now. Management need to show they are the guys to take us forward from here or face the consequences. Tomorrow has to be a win.
  7. Who knows how it turns out. Only 23 . Seems like his did well at Arbroath last year with 3 in 5 and scored 7 in 15 for Hearts this season. Not sure why so many Pars fans are down on this signing. Can't have seen much of him. It's not like our current strikers are on fire. McManus has been decent. He lacks quality in terms of touch and skill but still effective. The other two have looked poor. Surely a potential partner or a competitor for McManus is a good thing.
  8. ''That Hearts can't find a place for him in the Championship speaks volumes, too. '' No It doesn't. Hearts are signing players that are top 6 in Premiership wage bracket. It doesn't reflect his championship capabilities. Did he no score a hattrick against Raith this season?
  9. You really are the Poundland troll of Pie and Bovril. More suited to Kickback.
  10. I think he's a better manager than AJ but my annoyance with him has been the over cautious approach to games. Too often attack has been a secondary thought. I really enjoyed the way we got on the front foot against Rovers, It's something we have not seen nearly enough of. Too happy to sit back and counter when we gain a lead, also his biggest successes have been against Hearts, Celtic etc when we are expected to sit back. I think that's his comfort zone. The defeat last week I'm reluctant to blame management fully for that. The ref should never of allowed that shambles to go ahead, but I do have to point out that our team looked defeated from the start. They were moaning about the game from the first minute and their sense of injustice led to them not fully focusing on try to find a way of winning the game. I think the players need to take a large part of responsibilty for their attitude. I guess you could agrue that management should be reinforcing that but there were guys like Watson that were clearly heads gone furious about that game continuing. I happy to see him continue to the end of the season, but the time had come now where not achieving a play-off spot is unacceptable. We have the players and the club is looking to move on with the German investment. Mid table finishes will no longer be tolerated imo.
  11. I guess the game will go ahead on Saturday, even if it's 2 foot of snow. It is after all about which team handles it better, not if football can be played properly.
  12. If you think that's conditions to play football, then you'll accept any old pish.
  13. Arbroath seemed to manage just fine. You need to play the hand you're dealt. Bitching about it is just that - bitching. Bitch. It is football we are meant to be playing and the conditions couldn't allow football to be played. I think the officials didn't do their job properly and the game should never of gone ahead. It's not about dealing with it. If calling out somebody doing a shit job is bitching then so be it. Dick and his team knew how to deal with it much better. In hindsight, we should packed the penalty box like they did when we had the hurricane in our faces and gone for the 0-0. Shouldn't come down to that though.
  14. Football shouldn't come down to who can shitfest a win in a hurricane. Not Arbroath's fault. They did what they had to do and were much more switched on to it. It completely flummoxed our lot.
  15. Huge blow for us today. We were very good against Raith on Wednesday and we were hoping to go on a good run from the confidence. Genuinely pissed off that the game was allowed to continue today. Clearly would only benefit the team that plays there every second week. Never seen anything like it 35 years of watching football. I really hope we use this a motivation from here and kick on to second place. Can't see Raith coming second with that defence. Think Dundee will edge it due to better fire power. McManus, O'Hara and McCann is a middling championship selection to choose from.
  16. Yep, no excuses. Our team had lost the plot going into that second half.
  17. We fell to pieces from the start. Players were complaining about the game going ahead from the first minute. It was heads gone stuff, whilst Arbroath just got on with it. Arbroath knew exactly what to do today. Almost like they had experienced it before.
  18. Think he was out thought badly today, but it was utterly bizzare that the game was deemed suitable to play football. Really pissed off that farcical game came right after a great performance on Wednesday.
  19. Ye probably. Just never seen anything like it today. I really don't know how that was deemed sufficient conditions to play football. Arbroath tactically got it right and not surpisingly adapted to it. We looked puzzled at the start that this was allowed to continue and I think the players were out of sorts from there on in because of it. We just couldn't adapt. I'm sure Arbroath will enjoy a good win tonight and quite right. As a Pars fan I will quite happily forget the worst and most bizzare football match I've ever seen.
  20. Arboath are more familiar with shite games like that, not sure how you can't understand. The comical conditions at your ground makes it very difficult.
  21. That was the worse example of a football match I have seen in 35 years of watching football.
