  1. If/when Crawford goes, we need to sit down and think about what a new managers philosophy on how he wants to play as well. I can accept defensive stuff if it brings a Championship title and massively improved our win ratio, but if it means playing the crap we have under Crawford and scraping into the 4th place play-off then it's no for me. If Craw manages that this season , I will still want him to go. It fills me with dread watching one of his teams again next season. I would accept scraping 4th place if there was a degree of entertainment to our play and a bit of balance to the team. Not this binary option of everybody behind the ball or being naively open every time we try two up top. AJ tried to play attacking football until he built a dreadful team in his last season, McIntyre was pretty similar to AJ. Thought Jeffries had the team playing some good stuff before admin too. Not world beating managers, but they at least had some understanding of how to find a balance between attacking and defending. I would accept scraping fourth place if we at least played the football we got from those managers.
  2. I agree that it's bit exaggerated about how good our players are, but the quality should certainly be there for a comfortable play-off. When I look at the squad I think we can put together a good back line and Wighton has made the forward of options much better. The issue for me is the midfielders. I think we lack players who can put the foot on the ball and make passes and close people down. McInroy has been really poor, just doesn't get about the pitch or get involved. Wilson is the only option that can get about teams in that area. Whittaker is too slow to play anything other than the protector role. We never seem to have our central midfielder play in central midfield. It's always somebody protecting the defence or somebody playing off the forward. How about just getting two central midfielders to play in the middle of the park close folk down and put passes together. Raith schooled us in that sense on Tuesday. The other area is goalkeeper. OFW is just another bad goalkeeper selection from Crawford. Scully, Gill and OFW have been rank. Keep hearing about this wonderful performance at Dundee, but Ashcroft's header was another poppadom hands moment. He should've saved that goal. Pretty much every second week he's letting in long range shots that go through his hands. Really think we need to start being a bit more hard nosed in decisions made at the club. The guy paints a picture to raise funds and comes across as a nice person, lets give him a two year deal. He did nothing to prove himself in his loan spell to deserve that 2 year deal. It was well know that he was a bomb scare at his previous two clubs. There's clubs out there that would sacked their manager on the spot for the terrible managerial display on Tuesday. No, not us. Let's simper on with nice guy Stevie, despite a 4 month decline that's now becoming a farce . It's all a bit too nice at times.
  3. Sounds like Crawford is here for the short term anyway. His usual Thursday interview and talking about 6 games to prove themselves. Going on about finding the balance between a goal threat and being defensively solid. I mean nearly 2 and a half years in the job, if he hasn't found that answer by now then he never will.
  4. Think we're as well handing manager recruitment over to the Germans. They are our future and the current guys on the board have made poor decisions since promotion 5 years ago. Just not on that we are still hanging around mid table 5 years on with the decent budgets that have been squandered on poor management.
  5. Got to disagree. We were in a similar rut under Davie Hay with less games and a change of management saved our season with 3 games to go. This team has lost it in a similar way. We still have good players and in a position to turn it around and get in the play-off. A fresh face with different ideas could give everybody a lift. Even if it's a job for the last few games.
  6. Sack the Germans! Germans are not the dominant force on the board as yet. The current guys have done well in the recovery of the club after admin but not taking it forward in the championship. I can't see how they can keep Crawford on after this.
  7. I think Crawford can get away with being a cautious defensive manager. That's not good enough for teams looking for promotion. The last two games and a couple other games, he's tried going two up top and the whole team goes to pot. He doesn't have a clue on how to set a team out to attack and keep a decent shape. That was the worst I've seen since the season we came 7th in league 1. If the board don't act before Saturday , then their time should be up too.
  8. Rovers have been excellent at taking advantage of the worst piece of football management I have ever seen. Surely the board will not stand for more of this.
  9. We are all over the place. This just sums up how shite Crawford is as a manager. No response.
  10. You can still give a true reflection of what happened, without saying''we're shite'' To say that apart from 10 minutes it was a positive performance is just lies.
  11. He's delusional. He's convinced himself that apart from 15 minutes at the start of the second half, we were good. We fell out the game after scoring two in the first 5 mins. It like the delusional crap he came out with after the Morton game. It pretty common when managers have lost it and try re-writing history. We then do the usual attack teams last 15 minutes when we go behind. His teams never show that bravery when level or in winning positions. It's the only way you shift him out of his boring tactics.
  12. We certainly have the players to win this but confidence must be very low now. It can turn around quickly, but when you look at our form since November, this is more than a blip in form. There's fundamental issues with the management of these players, that's unlikely to change until they are removed.
  13. Scraping over the line into the play-off spots means having Crawford for another year. I think this would be a backward step for the long term ambitions of the club.
  14. Nov 20th - Dunfermline go top of the league. Points since: Hearts 37 Queen of Sth 29 Dundee 28 Inverness CT 26 Raith Rovers 23 Arbroath 21 Ayr 21 Morton 19 Alloa 17 Dunfermline 17
  15. It was a rolling 1 year contract. I the board had any sense there will be a pay-off clause of a set percentage if sacked. I think that pay-off is required now.
  16. King shitbag finds his team 2 up after 5 minutes. How does King shitbag respond to this fortunate opening to a game? They way I fully expected.
  17. Always been cautious under Craw. Nisbet was a god send doing 2 jobs at one time last year. We would've been fighting relegation without him.
  18. Got to the stage were we could sign De Bruyne and the tactics would make him look shite. Cautious Craw makes defenders look good at the expense of every other area of he pitch.
  19. Runs about a fair bit with not much quality. A decent option but not a main striker. Let down by our manager by being played as a lone striker, it doesn't suit him. Crawford makes most strikers look shite.
  20. Another very good signing. Craw has been very well backed in his time here. Hopefully means a bit of creativity in the middle of the park. Will mean nothing if Craw continues with his crap set-up though.
  21. Normally right up for these games, as my wife and her family are all Dundee fans, but Stevie's dreary tactics have drained me of any pre-match excitement. I can't be arsed watching Pars now. The midfield has just become an extension of the defence and forwards left isolated with nobody creating anything behind them. I kept thinking it would change but 4 months on, it clearly wont. Just want Crawford to go in all honesty.
