Yeah. His lack of interest in natural central midfielders is another baffling one. The fact that he said that letting Turner go to bring in McDonald was to balance the team as we have lots of midfield cover. His idea of a central midfielder seems to be a defender playing in deep midfield(an extension of the defence basically) or a winger/number 10 type player playing behind a striker. Not interested in guys who can play in the middle of the field.

Giving AJ and Clark 2 year seals was one of the biggest mistakes we ever made. The did fairly well up until that point. Really bad recruitment was their downfall. Cost us a packet to get rid.

If scraping 4th means Crawford staying next year, then I don't want to make the play-off. That would cause longer term damage to our progress and cost us more money in the long term, with the continued mid-table finishes and horrendously boring football. There's no way back from Crawford since the Rovers game. Imagine trying to sell season tickets for next season with the current management team still in place next season. I would have more sympathy for Crawford if he was at least trying to play football the way Rovers do. If you want to play anti-football stuff, then you had better get good results from it or face the consequences. It's not right that he's still in the job. The board should taken action after the Rovers debacle i think. Even if it was just a short term fresh face to try and lift the place for the final few games, but we've been left in this wounded state, trundling towards the end of the season. It's painful to watch. Decisive action was needed and the board have failed to show up when needed (on this occasion).

The thing that I found annoying was this fallacy created by some that he's had this huge improvement and been consistently good, when in reality I've seen him continually give the ball away in games and getting skinned by most half decent wingers this season.
