You seriously are sad p***k. You are the very reason I hate Dunfermline and will be celebrating if you get relegated. What do you think your club are. They're a provincial club that is competing for the same pool of players as us and other Championship clubs. I enjoy the rivalry and give it big licks to my Dunfermline supporting friends when we win and expect the same back when results go the opposite way. Enjoy the rest of your season and let's wait to see your finances when published as you appear to be signing several players to save a piss poor season.

Will always be a far bigger club than you lot dickhead

We should be doing better all over. Believe me, things are not good behind the scenes. We deserve better.

Not defending set-plays, Pea hearted players not closing players (that McPake signed) down and toothless attacking formations are exactly McPake's fault. We had enough talent on that pitch today to beat that rabble we were up against.  That's not the boards fault.

No more under 23 squad players from England though. Falkirk already proved that is the wrong road to go down and quite honestly, I'm remaining unconvinced of our two unless they start giving performances.

We can't sign anybody from England now. Deadline was February 1st. Only domestic loans or free agents now.

The thought of not having to play Hammy and Otoo in the defence is really warming my cockles... I know it could still be a while away.

    Mehmet

    Comrie - Bene - Fisher - Edward

    Hammy - Otoo

    KRH - Todd - Jakubiak

    Kane

Bench - Little, Breen, Summers, Moffat, McCann, Wighton, Richie-Hosler

Not involved - Benjamin, Fenton, Fagan-Walcott, Tod, Chalmers, Allan, MOH, Sutherland, Holmes plus more academy kids.

Not a bad squad when you look at it like that. Shame we've not had the chance at all this season...

Looks a decent side with no injuries.

One player for me in that team that I think has been poor for a while is Comrie. Really think he has struggled last few years. I would be looking to upgrade on the right back area in the summer. Ever since he's chopped and changed being a right back or right centre back last 3 seasons I think he's regressed when playing full back. He seems so easily beaten when at full back and lacks strength in 50/50s.

I would like to see us implement that 4-2-3-1 this week. They have to try something different from the back 3/5. I think MFW was meant to be back this week, I know he had a mare against Morton but I think there a player there. If we could get our new centre back in and play MFW and would stick them in a back four with Comrie and Edwards. Think it would help Comrie in a back 4 where he can sit a bit deeper.

We could then have Hamilton and Otoo in midfield. Kane would be the lone striker and you could have a choice of Moffat, Summers, McCann Jakubiak(believe he returns this week) playing behind him.

Apparently Wighton's injury is long term, one baldy for another

No surprise there. We don't do short term injuries.

With the attacking set-up we go with, Wighton is like a man down anyway.  Sounds like Kane is at least aggressive and will challange centre backs. More suited to the role than Wighton.

  6. As long as we have Allan, Chalmers and Summers as a midfield 3, we will continue to lose every week. Not one of them can tackle or close players down. We have the worst midfield in the league.

Summers is a talented boy, but totally wet behind the ears and very soft. Not interested in tracking back or helping team mates out. Bit like Mochrie last season.

Allan and Chalmers are just dreadful at this level. Both slow and soft. Hope we punt them regarless of division next season. We need to re-build that area of the pitch.

I haven’t looked so only going by memory here, didn’t McIntyre win the championship 2011-12 and then administration hit us while in the premier league? We had debts of around 10-12 million and it almost finished us.

No. We won the championshipin 2010-2011. Premiership 2011-2012 the went into admin 2012-2013. The debts were aroun 20 million I think. Debts that were accumulated during the Calderwood era not McIntyre. We had been cutting back for years before McIntyre.

  8. Found myself on here ranting every day of the week when AJ had his final season.  Also the Grant and Yogi year but strangely have a sense of canny be arsed bothering during this crap run of no wins in 7 and that dreadful, embarrassing performance on Saturday.

Honestly just done with the consistent shite decision making around managers, extending contracts that shouldn't have and not finding the right type of players for this league that can take us forward.

It's just one shyte decision after another. I'm all for the building acadamy stuff and scouting young players from other clubs and developing them but not at the cost of neglecting the first team to an extent where we are becoming a yo-yo team between the 2nd and 3rd tier of Scottish football. It's totally unacceptable. Do all those nice things when the first team is in a better place but not now.  We need to adjust the recruitment policy and bring more experience in and less youthful investments on 3 year deals.

We kept Utd out at Tannadice with Fisher, Otoo, and Walcott. There was no reason for the manager to doubt these three could be every bit as good against Morton. Sadly Lady Luck once again vomited on our eiderdown and Fisher got injured in training. Everyone at the club will have hairy baws not crystal ones, and wouldn’t see that coming

Experienced players will cost more money to bring in than a decent young prospect, and we’ve all seen the posts about the clubs spending causing alarm amongst some of the patrons/board members. The club will be trying to be prudent in their spending and do their best to keep the wage bill down. it’s the old rock and hard place scenario. We all enjoyed our cup runs and trips to Hampden when masterton was spending money we couldn’t afford, and it almost finished us off further down the line. I don’t want a repeat of that ever again, and I’m probably in the minority here but if we once again have to go backwards in order to come forward then IMO so be it.
Every player that comes back and stays fit will be like a new signing for us, and we will only get stronger for it. that’s why I don’t believe we’ll go down this season.

Why do clubs in this league with smaller income streams manage to buy experienced players though? Why are are struggling to juggle finances to enable an experiened centre back to come in, when it's glaringly obvious we need one... This is where there are concerns being raised about where the hell our money is going.

Second biggest crowds in the league, hospitality sold out, naming right of the stadium sold in the summer, Nisbet sell on fee. Other clubs in this league would bite your hand off for that kind of income.

I'm all for the future planning with the academy and getting young prospects in, but we need to balance it off with getting the right amount of experience to nurture these guys. Having one experienced CB who's not been fit neally all season and the brining in a couple 20 year olds that have not even played 10 senior games between them is madness.

Some serious questions for those who feel our board should walk away.

Who would we get to take over? Keep in mind that Ross McArthur had a whole lot of board members working for free to carry out all the many different aspects of running a football club to the best of their abilities, and he conceded that he/they had taken things as far as he/they could.

Then there’s the question of the money the Germans have invested so far, do you honestly think a businessman would simply walk away from a project and large investment when they can potentially turn things around given time?
We’ve all seen the posts about the apparent overspending/debt that’s attached to the club, again you’d have to ask who’d take that over and manage to turn it around?
I once posted that fans want success immediately (I think I said yesterday), and it was questioned by some, yet here we have fans wanting investors and board members to walk away because they feel the board aren’t doing things the way they’d like, because we’re not winning enough, because they didn’t sign the experienced players they feel we should, because they want success now?
Do you really believe that there’s people in the sidelines that could come in the door and do it any better? And if you truly think there is, who are these people? What do they do right now that would allow them the time and resources to walk in the door and make the differences you feel they could?
If you really think our board should walk away then you must have at least thought about who could take it all over to your satisfaction?
I expect a mixed response to this, and even a bit of flack, but theses questions really need to be addressed if you think this board should walk away.

Nothing wrong with what you are saying but the obsession with youth is going too far. The owners need to wake up and invest in exerienced players in the summer.

They need to adjust their stategy. Not every signing has to be seen as a long term investment. We had enough young players going into January. We really didn't need another trio of 20 year olds.

The lack of leadership and experience was glaringly obvious today. Everybody can see it apart from our owners.

  11. “Sam will be out for six to eight weeks with a calf injury incurred in training on Wednesday.”

Another muscle injury putting a player out for a couple months. This is not just a coincidence now. There is incompetence riddled right through the club. Something far wrong with conditioning of our players as well all the other crap thats being churned out.
