Walking Down The Halbeath Road
Chubbychops replied to Parscelona's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Shows how massive that 3 points against Airdrie was. It's bought us time to find new signings whilst not missing out on games where we could pick up points. Dundee United away was always going to be tough to get anything from and what we do get will be a bit of a bonus. I would hope by the Rovers game on the 26th our squad will be looking a bit more plumped up and we will have a squad ready to take on the teams we would expect to pick up wins against. -

It doesn't add up that our best covered area of the park is what we were targeting. Not saying we weren't in for him but it all has a bit made up twitter feel to it that we were. He did nothing at Dundee and got released by us. This mystical good spell he had at Livi was a while back. Not sure why you lot are getting a hard on about this. Would take him as an option if we had cash to throw around but this really isn't a big deal. -

Agree with above. We have four players that can play Byrne's position but one centre forward, and no attacking midfielders whilst Todd is out. Would've taken him as an option but hoping we spend our remaining budget further up the pitch where it's needed. -

Ben Summers mum has started following Pars on Twitter. Always a sure fire sign a player is about to sign. -

I can't believe I'm agreeing with you but Chalmers is like a different player to the one we signed a couple season back. I thought Saturday was his best performance in a Pars shirt to date. -

I'd still take him and leave the offer open (only if it doesn't disrupt other moves we're made for other players). I really wanted to sign him previously but the whole thing has dragged on that much that I couldn't care one way or the other now. -
A guy from Consillium Andy Young has just Tweeted ''Talking absolute nonsense'' and his tweet about him going to Airdrie has been deleted.

Definately a mutual dislike of Falkirk and joining forces to fuk them over last season has eased old tensions of the past. -

I know we look at the highlights for goals but I would love to see Bene's block with two feet off the ground in the first half. Airdrie player strikes it from 18 yards towards goal and ''The Wall'' just bats it back with two feet. Fukin legend. -

We're hard as. Imagine the team with new signings plus Todd, Mehmet and Hosler back. Might take till 2024 for that to happen but we'll be safe this year. -

I bumped into a boy I had not met for years when I was walking out today. He was positive about a handful of players then said ''Chalmers need punted though''. I genuinely can't see how somebody can think that after today. Some folk just don't forgive. -

As a Pars fan who was 19 in 1996, I can't believe how sensible this Pars v Airdrie thread is. Fair fuks though, Airdrie have some good posters on here and a balanced view of the game is good to see. The game was exactly how I thought things would play out. Two very different styles. Airdrie looking to shift the ball about midfield to attack and Pars solid at the back and looking to counter. It was close all last season and it was again. Going down to 10 men is not that big a deal to Pars. We are very comfortable sitting with our backs to the wall. I'm confident our style will see us safe with a few more additions and I'm sure Airdrie will win games playing less defensively organised teams in this league.
