  1. A speaker at a Scotland Against Lockdown rally. The mask has well and truly slipped. You are 100% anti vax or is this another Walter Mitty fantasy to go with all the rest. Do you actually read what I say? I actually thought you were reasonably intelligent, albeit of a different political persuasion. I rest my case.
  2. Unusually, I have to agree with your conclusion on this from personal experience. Last springtime, I attended a Freedom Rally against lockdown measures and actually agreed to be a secondary speaker. The Rally was led by an SNP councillor from Lanarkshire who was very articulate. Doubt if he’s still in the SNP. Anyway, it became very apparent that the bulk of the protesters were anti-Vaxers or eco warriors along with every type of conspiracy theorist imaginable. I quickly realised that those people, although very friendly towards me, were not the kind of bedfellows I wanted to be associated with. Oaksoft - be warned.
  3. That’s a fair point. Yes, it will be an emotional vote. Yes, Scotland could and would survive as an independent country but at what cost? People like you are willing to take the leap of faith but how many others? You need to make the case which hasn’t happened so far. People like me feel British and Scottish so staying within the UK and all our shared heritage is much preferable. Brexit was emotional but easier to sell as there was no shared language or history.
  4. The point I’m making is - Where are all the thousands and thousands of green jobs coming from, as promised? As far as I can see most of the wind turbine production seems to be overseas. Do we have any Scottish, UK or foreign companies based here in Scotland making wind turbines?
  5. What a holiday your having. You really are a total Walter Mitty ! Holiday going great, thanks. Just a little interlude before going out to dinner.
  6. I note that CS Wind has gone bust. Hey, Nikla, where are all the promised green jobs? Do we actually make or own any wind turbines in Scotland? Sounds a bit like the ferries and airport disaster.
  7. You make some reasonable points but I don’t see how you can say that we are experiencing austerity when public spending as a proportion of GDP must be near an all time high. You talk about money printing and debt rising which, of course,is all going on public spending. In my book that is not austerity.
  8. Exactly what he said in his most recent interview!!
  9. Probably your utterly shite posting. Still not one proper response. Just abuse but what else can you expect?
  10. Over £50k the employer continues to pay his share,10% but the employee is dealt with by higher rates of tax. I think that’s correct. Just shows how enormous tax and NI has become. We’re now into Corbyn levels of tax. No wonder conservatives are rebelling.
  11. Thank you. The same article also said that they have ‘facial recognition tracking’, curfews and suspension of Parliament. Scary stuff!!
  12. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong but I read somewhere that in Australia, whilst driving alone, it is mandatory to wear a mask!!
  13. Thanks for that. It is indeed more than I thought when translated into UK wide cost.
  14. Fair enough. Thats a proper response to my question. Out of interest, is this being resolved by the NHS?
  15. I don’t think that’s correct. We do contribute a bit towards personal care but I think it’s peanuts. Please provide details.
  16. Renting out property is not as good as it used to be as you can’t set off interest on borrowings against income. That happened a few years back.
  17. Surely it’s a UK tax increase and Scotland will get its share via Barnett?
  18. Well, what disasters are you experiencing?
  19. You go on about the awfulness of Brexit but is that really true. In my own small life, nothing much has changed. There are reports of shortages in supermarkets but Mrs DPB doesn’t seem to have noticed much change. The businesses in which I still have a residuary interest are doing well and no problems regarding EU imports. What have I noticed? Contrary to all warnings the stock market is doing just fine so no complaints from me on that front. I read that wage rates are rising due to labour shortages. About time too! Arrived in Spain a few days ago. Only hassle was Covid related. Maybe you could tell me what are all the disasters are that you are encountering which are purely Brexit related rather than Covid?
  20. Hours after allegedly arriving in Spain on holiday your posting shite on a football forum. Sad doesn't even cover it. What’s location got to do about raising a sensible question? I take it you’re a teacher?
  21. It’s quite funny that the supporters of all the main political parties are totally disillusioned with the leadership of their own parties. That must be telling us something!
  22. Purely out of interest and please don’t take this as a criticism of teachers, but do we actually have any statistics relating to teacher deaths due to Covid? The EIS are obviously there to look after their members but it would be interesting to know just how justifiable their concerns are.
  23. Yes. Agreed. Its so refreshing to hear an accurate account of the game rather than the rubbish spouted by his predecessors.
