  1. Was impressed by Mitchell yesterday. Didnt have a lot to do but was very competent in what he did do. Actually looked quite commanding. Maybe we could make do with him until the summer.
  2. From today’s game, I was impressed with the defence as a unit. McKenna is a revelation. McLean did nothing as did Osman. Glad Ray took him off as he was heading for a red card. liked DKD when he came on but, as someone mentioned we need to give Rudden some support. all in all, continuing to improve.
  3. Bit of an odd one, this. If this guy is so good, why would Ross County lend him out to a team in the same league?
  4. We pay £75000 pa rent for the South Stand to SA.
  5. Andrew Nelson has taken down his Falkirk banner on his twitter account. I think we can forget that one.
  6. Delighted if he goes. he finds it impossible to make a pass , long or short, to a teammate. Apart from penalty taking he is completely useless.
  7. Attaching Ratcliffes name to the Stadium of a community club can f**k off much further than any other names tbh. A c**t of a man who threatened to decimate 1000s of jobs in the area because he didnt like Trade Unions. Rubbish Ratcliffe is one of the very top business men in the world. He bought up under achieving assets and turned them into a world class company Ineos which has brought huge income into this area in particular. Idiotic trade unions tried to take him on and were firmly put back in their box. To have him or Ineos supporting our club would be fantastic. The man has done so much for this area. Only a Luddite could disagree.
  8. With regard to further departures I would go with the following Fasan - I would stick with Mitchell and Mutch till the end of the season Brough - I don’t think we need both him and Harrison and, as Harrison offers more in the scoring department, I’d keep him. Muirhead - I would tell him that he will be no more than a peripheral player and that his agent should look for another club for him. He might be quite attractive to some teams. Irving - I wouldn’t keep him.
  9. I’ll take your word on that. Youre more ‘in the know’ than I. whatever, I think we’re on the right track.
  10. Agree with BPM The scheme is not perfect but addresses most of the issues. Full marks to the MSG who are taking a major dilution in power and share value. Cant see what’s ‘bonkers’ about it.
  11. Totally agree, Mr Freemason. Students tend to have a very simplistic view of history. Most of the slave masters were black and indeed, it was a purely economic enterprise. I always wonder why the snowflakes don’t take on the Romans or Vikings but maybe that’s because they were white. The fact they colonised us never seems to be mentioned!
  12. After a collective noun a fair amount of latitude is allowed. Depends on the context. As Falkirk FC is obviously a collective of persons, then it could be said that ‘are’is more appropriate . However, the singular ‘is’ equally acceptable. Really impressed that people on here are bothered by grammar as some of the posts are almost unintelligible. Very refreshing.
  13. Jeepers - this guy has been through the mill. Lets hope he make a fresh start at FFC.
  14. McKenna’s background sounds very similar to that of David Weir.
  15. Drink drive - no way Black up - if it was at a fancy dress do or something like that, seems harmless to me. Just like wearing SS apparel. You see a lot of black guys sporting white hair? You appear a bit of a snowflake. Grow up!
  16. My grandson has just noticed that Andrew Nelson has changed his Twitter banner to him in a Falkirk top??
  17. Jimmy Jack was always brilliant against us when with Arbroath. we signed him and he was hopeless!!
  18. Was that the Jamie Patterson (2xt’s) we signed from Halifax? he was like a jockey. Really small.
  19. I remember a player called Vince Mennie who was on a par with this lot. No recollection of which era he was part of.
  20. Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel sure ML stated at the AGM that they were able to trigger a release clause in Hartley’s contract which enabled them to fire him at minimum cost. No doubt you’ll correct me if you heard differently.
  21. My fear is that we’re on such a downwards spiral that no amount of new bodies will be able to arrest it. Maybe we might be better to accept the drop and regroup in Div. 1 and try to make a push upwards from there with a settled side looking for incremental improvement. what I don’t want to see is shedloads of cash being spent on an attempt at a short term fix which doesn’t work. Probably that’s what Ray and the directors are battling with just now. A tough call?
  22. Ray’s interview very revealing. a lot more open than in previous weeks. petra in Lithuania with a serious injury. made it plain that many of these guy will never play for FFC again. hopes to have most newcomers in by mid January.
