Interesting experiment just started in Florida. The Governor has removed all restrictions and told businesses to get back to normal. Florida has a huge elderly population so this will be watched carefully worldwide. If the infection rate is no worse than anywhere else then ‘game on’.

I think I’m going to be vindicated as this thing is NOT going away, it kills mainly the elderly with underlying health issues, and anyone of working age who is healthy has more chance of dying from being hit by a bus. The young and fit MUST be allowed to live their lives normally. People are starting to realise this. Since March in the UK, deaths From Covid of people with no underlying ailments amount to around 300 (per the ONS).

From what I can see the Minister was saying that Elite sport would need to find ways to get through this and that support would be targeted at lower levels of sport. Now, what that actually means, I’m not quite sure but I would imagine that Division 1 and 2 in England would qualify as ‘lower level’. What the SG is planning - no idea.
