  1. Sounds like Carrie ought to stick to doing what she does best...making smoothies in the kitchen.
  2. We’re not talking about just “anyone popping along” here though. To insinuate that is doing these guys a complete injustice. Unless you know the individuals behind this investment, who are you to state Rawlins’ credentials are better than a “fans group”? I know who I’d trust to take the Club forward and it’s none of the current lot.
  3. Given they are prepared to invest double what the Rawlins have, I’d say their demands are entirely realistic.
  4. Not when we already have a PR “guru” you can’t.
  5. It’s 100% accurate. Pathetic response.
  6. And what about the £600K investment proposal. Is that encouraging change, or is that purely an act of self-interest? Do you think the Club can afford to turn their back on that sort of investment? Don’t you think those investing a sum of money that large deserve a say in how the Club operates? Let’s see the PR “guru” try to spin this one.
  7. Looks like it could be John Bonner, perhaps? A quick google search links this fellow Midlander to being close with Phil Rawlins at Orlando City. As you say, unclear for now but if true, the fans should be aware of what’s going on.
  8. Aye, best leaving it to Gary Deans and his PR “guru” after all.
  9. I have discussed it, at length, but you’re not going to change my opinion of him so there’s no point in continuing this any further.
  10. In the same way you’re not prepared to give Latapy even an ounce of credit for his involvement at Inverness, I’m not prepared to dismiss it and give Hughes full credit. Now with all due respect, I genuinely have no interest in discussing this any further.
  11. £600k...the single largest investment in the Clubs history but God forbid these people should have a meaningful say in how it’s ran. Fans really need to open their eyes to what’s going on at this Club.
  12. The impact I remember him having (correct me if I’m wrong) was coming to Inverness as Hughes’ assistant a time when he was hardly setting the heather on fire. During his time at Inverness, they were beaten on penalties in the League Cup Final and finished in the top 6. The following season they finished 3rd and won the Scottish Cup. Surely he gets some sort of credit for that, no?
  13. Blazer chasers in self-interest shocker. Nah, surely not? This great new Board are all “Falkirk men” after all. Is this really in the best interests of the Club? Yet more evidence that collectively, the fans need to withhold money until the rats have fled the ship.
  14. Not sure who’s thesis that is but it’s certainly not mine. Remind me again on what planet Paul Sheerin is any less “idiotic” an option than Latapy?
  15. You conveniently forgetting the impact he had at Inverness? That’s fine if so, but at least educate yourself before you claim something to be sh!t.
  16. Sadly we’ll never know. I’d bet money though that plenty of those who think Latapy would be a disaster are the same ones who thought “big Lee” was a great appointment at the time.
  17. I’ve already talked you through it...a much higher standard of coaching experience than the Aberdeen youth boss and certainly a more exciting appointment. You can read, right?
  18. Not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not, but I reckon it would be very easy to tempt him. We tempted him away from the beaches of Portugal when he was 34 and he gave us 7 unbelievable years of service. He was desperate for the managers job on at least one previous occasion and we opted for Holt instead. For me, taking everything into consideration regarding where the Club’s currently at, he’d be the outstanding candidate.
  19. I’ve already stated a few pages back that I wanted (and felt the Club needed) someone who would excite the fans if nothing else, as results are never guaranteed. We’re at an all time low right now, there’s never been a bigger divide between fans and the Club. This appointment could’ve gone some way towards mending that, but appointing the Aberdeen reserve coach simply isn’t going to whet the appetite off the back of finishing 5th in League One. Given the Club is recruiting a Head Coach rather than a manager, if I was to name someone who would’ve ticked all my boxes it would’ve been Russell Latapy all day long. That won’t be everyones choice, but for me personally, he’d have generated real excitement amongst the fans. We are all aware of how talented and respected a player he was with contacts far and wide. He has coaching experience with Boavista and obviously with Inverness where he was part of an unbelievable season for those caber-tossing c*nts. He’s also gained experience managing two different national sides. When you take all of that into consideration, would he really be any worse an option than anyone who’s been mentioned for the gig? Not in my opinion.
  20. Can’t see many people having an issue with Sheerin on a personal level. He’s far from my first choice, and I don’t think it’s the sort of appointment the Club needed to make at this particular time, but it’s not his fault he’s being appointed. He’ll be the least of our worries.
