  1. Steady on. Even in a poor Cove team you can see Fyvie is a very good player. If it wasn’t for injuries he’d still be playing at a higher level
  2. My apologies. Typed it out without paying too much attention to the spelling
  3. The more I think about this season the more I’m delighted for so many people that it’s worked out this way. Coll Donaldson - Felt he was made into a bit of a scapegoat last season but this year he has been colossal. Lang has taken a lot of the headlines but Coll has shown recently just how good he is. Leon McCann - A player that quite a few fans felt wasn’t good enough but he is easily the most consistent player I’ve watched at the Falkirk stadium. He deserves this after what he went through under Sheerin and Rennie. Nisbett - Another player who had to play through the Sheerin and Rennie reign and he has been brilliant this season. He's certainly earned that contract extension he got last season. Morrison - The one who’s been through the most shit with the club and he’s still here showing just how good he is. Probably been our only shining light in some dark times so he fully deserves every bit of praise he’s got this season. MacIver - Took some abuse on social media when we signed him but he’s been instrumental to our play this season. Such a clever footballer and the players around him reap the rewards of him being there. McGlynn - A lot of fans wanted him gone after the disaster that was the end of last season, however, the BOD stuck by him and what an incredibly good decision that has been. One that you could argue has saved our club.
  4. Both Keena and Dowds would have been much better for us if they were working under a good manager. The amount of players that have looked dreadful in a Falkirk shirt over the years highlights what a basket case of a clubs we were.
  5. A night of mixed emotions for me. Been a Falkirk fan all my life but always played football on a Saturday so it wasn’t until the 17/18 that I got a season ticket with my Dad. We’ve been devoted fans since then and stayed to the very end of every game (deserves a medal after what we’ve seen the past few seasons) and backed the team. Unfortunately my dad took unwell unexpected whilst on holiday in late October last year and past away early December. Ive been both joyous and full of emotion tonight as I know he’d have loved to have witnessed what I have over the past few months. A glass was raised to him when I found out the league was won!
  6. I’m sorry but I can’t get on board with that. It doesn’t matter what league we’re in. If a player is performing incredibly well over a period of time then he deserves recognition. You're effectively saying that if someone replicates Morrisons form but we were in the Premiership, then they would deserve legendary status but Morisson, who did the exact same wouldn’t because he did it in a lower league.
  7. Morrison showing week after week just how well the club have done to tie him down to another 2 year contract. I really hope McGlynn has already opened communications with Hibs about getting Tait back on loan next season. The boy is different class
  8. I’m assuming you decided to post again because there is very little nonsense now and you wanted to correct that.
  9. Going back to the conversation about players being offered contracts, I’d absolutely love Finn to sign on and I’d be happy if we keep Hogarth and Ross. Hogarth is a decent keeper and as long as we sign someone who is arguably better then that will give him competition and drive him to improve. I think Ross is a very tricky player and although I hoped to see more from him, I think he’d be a good player to have in the squad next season. Mackie is a decent player but I’m always anxious when he plays as he seems like a loose cannon and I’d rather not have to rely on him in the championship. Oliver hasn’t broken into the team this season so I don’t think we should take him on for another year. He has been a good player for us but as other have said we should be looking to bring players in to improve this squad. I’m on the fence with Shanley. I actually think he’s a good player and can link up play well, however, MacIver is better and I think we should be looking to bring someone in who could oust him from the starting 11. Maybe Shanley would be good to have as a third choice. Im assuming McGinn will move on and rightly so. He’s been very good for us but I don’t think he’ll have much to offer us on the pitch in the Championship.
  10. It’s the third tier of SPFL so probably a crate of Tennants and a packet of fags
  11. He couldn’t be in the squad the night they played against us because he can’t play against his parent club
  12. I actually think the lack of goals is due to us being at the business end of the season. At least 7 teams in the league will be playing us thinking a point would be magnificent but aim to avoid a heavy defeat. As points become more precious the more likely we are to see teams just try and frustrate us rather than score a goal themselves. That was as good as a win for Annan at the weekend.
  13. I reckon if we win the next three then the title will Be done. Hamiltons form has been dreadful lately and I don’t see any scenario where they win their next 4 games
  14. Probably going to get myself a few reds here but oh well. Although I didn’t think McGinn did anything wrong, I actually felt like we were a bit of a man down in the middle with him. He just can’t cover the ground Hendo and Tait can and I felt that we missed that today. We could have also used Hendo’s height with the amount of balls we threw into the box
  15. Likelihood is the contract extensions will be Yeats and McCann, which I’m delighted about but if by some miracle it was Morrison I’d be suffering from mass hysteria
  16. So clearly you believe that if you don’t show the ability at a young age then you’ll never be good enough! I suppose Jamie Vardy doesn’t exist in your world or Miroslav Klose or Ian Wright for that matter. Some players develop later than others so I certainly wouldn’t write a player off because he’s 23 and that means he will never be good enough
  17. I liked Tait’s bit of shithousery when he came on. Clearly said something to an Accies player, which he reacted to by pushing Tait. After the ref had a word Tait was having a good laugh in his face. Thats the type of attitude I can get behind
  18. That announcement today tells you the reason behind Hamiltons tweet last week. Obviously we don’t know for definite but I’m guessing Hibs and Tate wanted the Falkirk move and Hamilton released that tweet in a move that can only be described as “no, I’m breaking up with you ”
  19. Nonsense. You’ve taken a snapshot in time and said McCann should be switched on. In real time he will be watching the play and he won’t have had time to react to Langs error. 100% on Lang, however, he’s been so good I won’t criticise him for it
  20. To be fair to him he had to adjust himself and try a sort of bicycle kick, so I don’t think it was as easy a chance as what it may have seemed from some angles
  21. Our penalty definitely looked like it was for handball. Montrose penalty looked outside the box from my view but as has been said, Long would have received a red if it was a free kick. The ref absolutely bottled it with Mo’s number 3. He committed the exact same foul that saw Nesbitt get a booking, yet he got away with it.
  22. Haven’t posted much recently but delighted with how we are playing. It really is funny how so many of our fans are absolute idiots. I wasn’t sitting my normal seat for the Dundee UTD cup game and there were guys behind me talking absolute shit the whole game. One guy in particular said Miller was useless because a centre half overpowered him and then went on to say later on that Miller would be his hate figure this seasons. Pleasing to see Miller has went on to be one of our better players. Long may the good results continue and we get wins against Queens and Accies.
  23. Very good performance but I thought Calvin Miller was outstanding. The amount of times he dropped the shoulder and made space to start an attack was impressive
