Dundee, Aberdeen and the Old Firm have all filled that end, with far more propensity for bother.

Whatever reason it's for, it's not safety, and it's not to increase their own ticket share - which makes it very weird.

It’s simply because they are in the huff about sliding into sunday post and fear us getting strength from a big support

Seriously? Is that pounds and pence?

Anyway, as a club we have to own this but it's not exclusively a DAFC/NW thing, it's not even a football thing. It's the world we live in where scroats do these sort of things then boast about it on SM.

    Sad

You need to stop doing it then at your age , honestly think you would know better 😂😂😂😂😜

I’ll concede it is some faux outrage as you call it.

The reality is it doesn’t bother me, it’ll be the pars paying for it. It’s just added to the latest bit of bad news to involve your club what with 5 derby defeats on the spin, 1 million pound loss, attack on disabled fan, relegation dogfight…

At least once it’s fixed there’s a fair chance you guys won’t be coming back to Starks for a bit with us in the premier and / or you in league 1.

Mate give it a rest eh, the damage will be paid for and we don’t need to bring up all this, we have humbled them on the park this season and we should be focusing on thistle tomorrow, there’s a few decent posters on this thread and they are people like us who support their local team instead of OF .  Every team has Fannie’s

It was creating Starks Bark that got me the gig as matchday programme editor. One of the club directors of the time was a subscriber! He approached me and encouraged me to continue the fanzine feel, so I took him at his word.

At the end of the "not playing in the UEFA Cup" season, having refused to phone DAFC and apologise, I was indeed informed by Alex Penman that my services were no longer required, so in time, I resurrected Starks Bark, with a different group of contributors.

Just like the Beatles before us though, we had some creative differences, and after another handful of issues I left it in the hands of those who had joined me. It carried on for a while before the times, they were a-changing, and it wuffed its last.

The Pars programme issue was a highlight for me, and a Starks Bark highlight was selling a copy to a Pars fan in the Novar, who turned out to be the subject of the "Cheeky Monkey" article contained therein.

    Halcyon days.

    That’s how a legend is made 👏🏻💪🏻😂😂

Aye? My first derby was in 2009 and I remember drinking in the Penny Farthing/The Abbey, there's also been Pars fans along the high street.

Ended up going to Montagues pre and post match and it was absolutely fine and trouble free, mixture of Pars and Raith fans

I usually go to the novar if going for a pint pre match but back in the 90’s I don’t remember pars having a pub to themselves like they do with oconnells , good to hear there was a mix in montagues etc, way it should be but that March from oconnells to the ground with the banner will always attract Fannie’s imo and would be better diverted away from links street

It's not just numbers of police officers, it's strategy.

I'm not blaming one set of fans any more or less than the other for the aggro on Links Street, but when most of the Pars boys are coming from the High Street, surely the police should be escorting them up Milton Road, which brings them closer to the away end anyway.

The flashpoint is always outside the Estuary pub where Rovers fans are smoking and vaping outside, so surely diverting the Pars fans away from there reduces the chances of trouble.

Totally agree that would avoid the flashpoint as it’s always at the estuary and your right brings them out nearer the away end , in days gone by the pars never had a pub on the high street , we always had the Elizabethan but it was at the right side of east end for us. Wouldn’t solve all the hassle but pretty sure it would help a lot, sick of seeing little green street wannabes wandering around being the big men

Definitely some contact watching the highlights and the raith one I can't see any contact at all. Boy just falls over. I've no skin in the game but the Dunfermline one looked more a pen than raiths going by the highlights obviously.

If you saw Todd’s dive from the south stand  you saw it for what it was, ours wasn’t a pen I thought Stanton lost his footing that’s all
