As soon as i saw the team sheet and saw no centre-forward on it i knew we were in for a tanking. Mortimer on the wing and Osadolar at wing back?? Is it any wonder why Kurtis looked so fustrated in midfield - He had absolutely nobody to play the ball up to. City played with two big lads up front and a Number 10 and they split us open time and time again. There was even a 20 minute spell where QP players never even made a pass. And what contribution did Fotheringham and McLean make? I never saw either of them touch the ball and i was amazed that McLean was still on the field at the end. No play-offs for us this season because we are nowhere near the level that we need to be to finish Top 4.

I think we should wait a couple of months and make Steven Gerrard manager when he gets sacked by Rangers in November

Glad Gus has gone as he had taken us as far as he could but i sincerely hope that he does well in his new role at St. Mirren because there were plenty of highlights during his time at QP. Btw, if you are reading this Gus, can you please take Gregor Fotheringham with you?

He's very good! Give him the ball 30 yards out and he'll invariably loop it into the back of the net. Good low centre of gravity too and strong. Not the paciest but he will definitely make a name for himself in the Scottish Premiership one day. Great loan signing by youse lot.

I've been positive after seeing 3 out of the first four games of the season but despite the very good performances especially in midfield i'm of the opposite opinion of most fans here as i think we will struggle this season because we have nobody who can put the ball in the back of the net. The only player who hasn't impressed me so far is Josh Peters and despite all his running Osodolar isn't going to score more than 2 goals the entire season because he isn't a No 9 and Billy Mortimer looks more comfortable in his new position as winger. So who is going to get us the goals for this 'successful season' everyone is talking about?

Glad to see McGrory promoted to the first team, he's got a defence splitting pass or two in him which we lacked for most of last season. Also glad that we now have not ONE but TWO keepers on the books! Worried about the low number of midfielders though especially ones with experience as we only really have McKernon with any experience at senior level. Time will tell though, i guess, and besides it's not too late to add more to the squad.

I know who the other 3 are but who is Osadour? I tried googling him but couldn't find anything. Is it a nickname?

Aye, Gibson really made use of his blistering pace and his towering height to great effect last season, especially in the Stenny match. Honestly, sometimes I think you watch different matches to the rest of us.

Ross is a good player, can play all across the back and is a model professional who is still young enough for a shot at a higher level and with better coaching I think he can make it. The only thing that he needs to learn is better positional sense but as QP played a variety of formations over the past 2 years he was constantly having to adapt to his circumstances. Not the best penalty taker though...

And what would you know about what players are premier level ya dumb daftie! Some players are more adept to playing in different leagues where there is more time on the ball and players aren't hoofing it everywhere and the pace is much more different. Ross is wasted in the lower leagues. But I guess the scouts at Killie aren't as qualified at judging young players as you are though it seems. They should have asked you before they signed him.

Im still not buying Davie Galt being 'too tired' after running a marathon 3 days before the play off first leg against stenny. I walked the old railway path from Johnstone to Port Glasgow the other week and it was 22 miles there and back. Apart from a bit of sunburn I was perfectly fine the next day and if I was younger I would have easily been able to play a match 3 days later. He just had a poor performance that day but Gus saw the way the tie was going and used Galty as a fall guy by dropping him for the 2nd leg preferring to play the inferior Jamie Gullan instead. I feel for David who deserved better than a manager who was prepared to throw the whole club under a bus just to prove some kind of disciplinarian point.

I assume you're not talking about the guy who crashed into a wall in F1? Never heard of a guy at Pollock with the same name but if he's a 'calm and assured' junior player then that probably means he's a lightweight. If you haven't broken the legs of at least 2 players at Junior level then you haven't been giving 100%.

To be fair he did have a few good efforts which went agonisingly close but there's something in the lad which tells me that if he gets that first goal he could really be something (certainly at this level) But the question is 'if'...

Why so hard on Mortimer? He's just a young lad who gave 100% in every game he was involved in. (Which is more than could be said of players like fotheringham) It's no wonder young players are quick to move on and leave Queens.

Then why bring it up? Look, i know you would like it to be just you and mick chatting alone together in this thread about how gus is the Scottish guardiola but believe it or not there are more than two QP fans

Glad you liked it. Am just going through my Twitter posts today and I notice that the boxer Tony Bellew is also saying that the mad skank who falsely accused Ched Evans should be imprisoned. Seems I'm not the only one saying it.
