  1. 1. I watched all the games that season, perhaps you were distracted by your phone too much to get into the games? 2. No, I'm not Mr Houston, but I'd take his money, and his footballing skill if I could. 3. If you're not entertained with us challenging at the top of the championship and producing late dramatics against the likes of rangers/hibs/hearts/etc.......you need some drugs. seriously though, we will just have to disagree on this one and I'll hold on to my good memories like an old fart in a nursing home.
  2. at least we were in the play offs back then........oh, and in a higher division. Say what you want about the guy, perhaps his signings weren't the greatest, but by god did we play attractive, competitive, attacking football. Houston's reign was the last time I felt entertained watching our team. Going toe to toe with rangers, hearts, hibs and coming away with results seems so so distant now. Perhaps if we'd kept houston and got rid of the puppet masters instead we would still be playing those types of games.
  3. back to the same old boring 'Mckinnon-esque 'draw pish, painful watching it and very little entertainment value........Let's hope M&M can sort something out and get some better results in the next 2 crucial matches otherwise I think patience will wear thin. Just seems to be a lack of ability to figure out opponents this season and have our fitness and skill level overcome them. Makes me wonder if it's a tactical/managerial failure or down to the players. I'd have mutch/gomez/mcmanus, possibly buchannon on the team sheet every time, then there's a bunch of players who seem to don't seem to match that level of skill and commitment...........then there's the passengers who we can hopefully unload in January. Overall we're defending ok, but there just seems to be a total lack of flair/skill/ingenuity to the team in midfield and up front. It's doubtful we can do much in the transfer window given the poor financial situation, but maybe that's an opportunity to get a couple of hungry youngsters in to give the team a bit more energy?
  4. petrie might be worth a shot, decent record taking a team in the right direction..........i'd rather try that than have some old fud who's been around the block 10 times and is on the decline.
  5. agreed, his record has gotten progressively worse with each club........to the point where it's actually worse than McKinnon's record, so no thanks. Hopefully we find someone based on win percentage that's good or heading in the right direction..........since basically that's all that matters.
  6. so much for 'clearing the air', some of the players looked like they'd checked out already today.
  7. sad to say, that was one of the worst performances/games so far.........just awful to watch.
  8. yes, my security software has been warning me of potential malware every time I go to log in.
  9. if it is a reality check for some, then it's only because of Ray "another draw" McKinnon's nervous nellie tactics. IMO with the squad we have, we should be ramming it up most of the the teams in this league. I'm not buying this 'oh they're great wee teams in tight wee parks" line.......if they were so great they would be getting promoted and staying up. The reality is these are, on the whole, part timers with half of the funds/facilities we have and nowhere near the quality of players. There's only one of two reason we won't romp this league and it's either because the players don't put in the effort, OR our manager's tactics are too negative. And it's starting to look like the latter if he continues to get the same results with this new squad (his squad) as he did with the last bunch. We have the players, we have the fans, we have the resources.........if we don't win this thing clearly it will be a monumental failure set squarely on the shoulders of the manager. Enough with the peely wally pish, let's get tore into these teams every week.
  10. i'm hoping it was a one off today formation-wise due to it being a premier league team, but my fear is that this is how we set up for most games last year. We seem to be settling into a pattern of starting of with a very defensive formation and then changing that to more offensive once we go behind.......hence the amount of comeback draws we scarped last season. Would really like to see us start of every league game with 2 up front, we seem to have the quality of players to do that now. good draw today, but felt like we could have snuck a 2-1 win if we'd set out more positively..........but then again, I'm not a manager.
  11. falkirk 3 Rory Mcallister 5............hopefully he's not playing on day 1.
  12. Falkirk are due a sell-on from the transfer fee, which unconfirmed reports state could rise to as high as £3.5 million after add-ons. About to sign for Cardiff and the wonder that is Vaulks just keeps on giving.
