  1. Referring to the “blue” Second Division for 2022/23. Why will it have 18 clubs rather than 16 clubs.? This will leave the “red” Third Division with only 9 clubs for 2022/23 (if new applicants do not materialise). It all appears a little messy to me and in my view does not accord with the high standard that the EOSFL has previously set. I say this as a firm supporter of the EOSFL and the progress that the league has made in developing the Pyramid.
  2. Sink or swim? Football is constantly changing with new clubs evolving and long established clubs declining, stagnating and sometimes dissolving. It will be very interesting to see the "football map" and the changing landscape in the next decade or so. New initiatives in my view should not be stifled at birth but they do need to prove themselves. Bo'ness Athletic have been given that opportunity and now need to prove that they can sustain themselves.
  3. Any games in Argyll next week Sunday 23rd to Friday 28th May please - men’s adult, ladies and youth U16 to U21. I am covered for the Saturdays. Any feedback would be very helpful.
  4. The second tweet - the President Statement was completely new. The first tweet was repetition but I included it to provide a context. On reflection I should perhaps have left it out .
  5. Harmony Row Youth Club to join WoSFL Harmony Row Youth Club are delighted to announce that our application to the West of Scotland Football League has been accepted. We would like to thank all the members of the WoSFL board, and member clubs for your support and acceptance of our application. For the first time in our 106 year history we now have a team in senior Scottish football. This is something that we are immensely proud of. This development now means that our male pathway is complete. From mini kickers to senior football. We hope the foundations that have been made by those who came before us can now be built upon to make Harmony Row a famous name within the senior leagues of Scottish football as it is currently within the youth and amateur leagues. We would like to thank all the people who have worked tirelessly over the years to grow our reputation and make Harmony Row the club that we are all proud of. We would also like to thank the current Harmony Row board, the football committee and coaches at Harmony Row Youth Club for their support and tireless work at our club. We have a membership now of over 400 boys, girls, men & women playing football at Harmony Row. Without the volunteers we have supporting us, we could not play the part we do within our local community. Please follow our social media accounts to keep up to date with all the latest news from Harmony Row Youth Club. FACEBOOK TWITTER INSTAGRAM #WeAreHarmonyRow
  6. Under Option 1 how do you establish the number of promotion places from the newly created 11 team “Division Three (Tier 9 )” ? How many teams will be promoted to Division One (Tier 7) and Division Two (Tier 8 ) from the new division? How many teams are to be relegated from the Division One Conferences to the 2022/23 Division Three (Tier 9). What are the basic workings behind Option 1?
  7. You have missed my main point completely. How would you solve the conundrum in a fair and equitable manner that both existing and new clubs consider acceptable and a worthy management approach for the EOSFL to follow?
  8. Thanks for the feedback. Option 1 presents the conundrum of how the respective 2021/22 club placings are fairly distributed into the respective leagues for the 2022/23 season. What magic formula do the EOSFL management propose to implement that will deliver a four tier league based on playing ability? I hope that “sporting integrity” is not again compromised as we have just seen in the Lowland League “OF colts debacle”.
  9. The latest press coverage: https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/ayrshire/west-scotland-league-nine-new-24090768 Extract: ”Nine new teams have been accepted into the West of Scotland League with more expected to follow ahead of a new division kicking off in July. St Peters, Harthill, Harmony Row, Kilsyth Athletic, Finnart, Glenvale, Campbeltown Pupils AFC, Westerton Utd and Broomhill Sports Club join as associate members and will ply their trade in a standalone WoSFL Development League. The new set-up allows ambitious clubs time to get their grounds up to a standard that would make them eligible to join the WoSFL's Third Division as early as 2022.”
  10. It is interesting to question why Harthill Royal can only be an Associate Member? Surely as a bona fide semi-professional club with a strong Junior pedigree they would meet the full membership entry requirements of the WOSFL.
  11. Hoping to attend this game on Saturday 22nd May: Cardross AFC – Lochgilphead Red Star AFC will it be a 2.00 pm kick-off? Any other matches in Argyll over the next week that you may be aware of? Any info would be much appreciated.
  12. These are the 9 clubs joining the new WOSFL Division Four Development Division: St Peters (Paisley) Harthill Harmony Row (Govan) Kilsyth Athletic Finnart (East End of Glasgow) Glenvale (Paisley) Campbeltown Pupils AFC Westerton United (Bearsden) Broomhill Sport Club (Knightswood) Another 2 clubs may be joining them: Kilbride Thistle Stewarton One club has been accepted but have held back their entry for a year - Blantyre SC iF YOU ARE INTERESTED- why not make an enquiry to join?
  13. St Peters (Paisley) Harthill Harmony Row (Govan) Kilsyth Athletic Finnart (East End of Glasgow) Glenvale (Paisley) Campbeltown Pupils AFC Westerton United (Bearsden) Broomhill Sport Club (Knightswood)
  14. Many congratulations to WOSFL for getting the Development League initiative up and running in such a short space of time. In particular thanks to parkcircus for keeping us so well informed. I have been derided by some forum members that the Development Division would not happen in such a short time-frame. Well here we are with the new initiative being delivered in the space of under three months. Perhaps we are seeing an innovative template that the EOSFL might eventually follow but I do accept that the circumstances are a little different in the East. I cannot help smile at the thought of Harthill trading trips to Tweedmouth and Coldstream for trips to Campbeltown. It should be a great day out for them and their supporters. I will be visiting Campbeltown in a couple of weeks but I doubt that I will be lucky enough to take in a game while I am there.
  15. Sad news. Is there any prospect of a ground-share with one of the prospective new WOSFL applicants?
  16. Where is Hibeejeebee these days? The whole issue needs some common sense and fairness that is the norm and standard for Hibeejeebee.
  17. Sad news. Will this mean that one Tier 7 Conference will have 14 teams and the other will have 16 teams? It will feel a bit of a mish-mash.
  18. Agreed. It is retrograde step not to implement a level playing field for the new entrants and represents a move away from the fair and innovative way that other ex-junior clubs have been accommodated by the EOSFL over the previous three seasons. The proposed structure also does no favours to Eyemouth and Tweedmouth who will play a level above Whitburn et al. Very disappointed.
