  1. Based on those stats, his goals to appearances ratio seems to be improving with every new club. Maybe we should play him up front?
  2. Pretty sure it'll just be the East and Directors Box. From what I've seen work hasn't started on the south stand, which I think will be built in the summer. Also not heard anything about a temporary north stand other than rumours that they might try to put one in for next season (promotion dependent?)
  3. And there were a load of concerts booked in at Hampden in July and August which will make the SFA far more money that QP games do. There will be the same situation next summer (and possibly most summers) so that would have am effect on the rumoured potential of us playing at Hampden for the full season if we get promoted.
  4. Yeah, I saw a picture taken today and see that a couple more rows have been added since the last pics I saw. It looks a bit better now, but it's still quite shallow so the back row doesn't have much elevation, and like you say the front couple of rows will be really poor for viewing the whole pitch.
  5. Regardless of the quality of the concrete poured, or who's fault it may or may not be, the design was still changed from a stand that would hold around 800 spectators with a decent elevation (and which could have easily incorporated VIP seating) to the current build which holds 40-50 people and will probably rule out any future development to increase capacity at the North end of the West side of the pitch. This change came at a considerable cost. I've not heard any plans to further extend the west stand, but looking at the plans and what has been built so far, I can't see where there will be space for any more capacity there.
  6. Totally agree. Not to mention the money wasted on pouring all the concrete to extend that stand only to remove it all again to build the directors box. I'm sure we could have still moved the changing rooms to their new position in front of the pavilion, built the hospitality suite in the same place, and incorporated director/sponsor seating within a decent West stand. You could then still have the East stand as is for increased capacity. Unfortunately it's been a shambles from start to finish.
  7. The East stand is my concern too. It looks like it might be quite a shallow angle, and with only 4 rows of seating even the back row doesn't have much elevation. The stand at Stenny has only 6 or 7 rows, but is quite steep which means you still get a decent view. I'm hoping the pictures don't do it justice. I suppose we had a fairly limited space to fit the stand into between the pitch and the existing boundary wall, and it looks like they've tried to tie the levels in at the back of the stand with the paving on the other side of the wall for level access/exit at the opening.
  8. I seem to remember it being mentioned at one of the members meetings that the floodlights were on site and ready to be installed when needed. We certainly won't be playing any games there till the lights are in place....or the clocks go forward again.
  9. Ferrie still first choice for me. It would seem very harsh to leave out Robson with 2 goals in 2 games from left back. It would be great to give Bruce some game time, but I don't think now is the time. I also would have Murray starting and hopefully not being subbed for Kenny when we still need him to see the game out. Williamson surley now deserves the chance to replace Murray over Kenny if/when necessary. Biggest question is who replaces Thomas. Savoury would be the obvious choice if fit, but both Moore and Davidson (or even Bannon) are possibilities to start, or replace Savoury later in the game. I'd probably keep the same back 4 as the last 2 weeks, though Davidson for Bannon may be a consideration.
  10. To be honest I don't know whether QP In the Community was a separate company or not, though its quite possible that it was a part of the club and that's why the new foundation was set up as a separate charity for all the reasons Hampden Diehard explained. That would make sense to me, but as with everything else, we have to put the picture together with the small scraps of information that become available.
  11. Has Brown been in the stand for your games when not playing. He's been at our last two home midweek games sitting in the stand with our other unstripped squad players in full QP tracksuit etc. I assume he's still training with us at least some of the time during the week?
  12. If i'm digging in the same place as you then that new company is the 'Queen's Park Foundation', which is the new version of the 'QP in the community'. That covers the womens team, Kids community teams, football fans in training and other community groups. I dont think this has been set up as the new version of the club. However, I do agree that some change is coming. I remember back to Dempsters first meeting back in the auditorium at Hampden, I definetly picked up some vibes that the current membership structure was not to her liking. I'm sure I've been at a more recent meeting where the president tried to debunk that idea and also said that any change would need a 75% vote in favour.
  13. It looks like all but one of the Dec 24th games in the Championship, and a handful from leagues 1&2 have also been moved to the Friday night. I assume a lot of clubs/players didn't want to play on Christmas Eve.
  14. We played Portugal in a Friendly at Hampden a few years ago during McLeish's 2nd reign. I think it was the October after the 2018 World Cup. Ronaldo wasn't in the squad and my wee boy (at the time) was gutted not to see him play.
  15. They plan to put seats on top of the changing rooms eventually.
  16. Apparently that's the plan in the longer term. The changing rooms have been built in such a way that they can support seating on top of them, with direct access into the pavilion. Could be a few years down the line though.
  17. According to the same source as before, Brown turned down the loan move to Alloa as he wants to fight for his place in the team. Encouraging that he wants to stay, and hopefully it pays off for both him and the team.
  18. I heard this morning that Liam Brown might be heading out in loan to Alloa. That surprises me if it's true as I thought he would be next in the pecking order if Thompson or Mal are missing, but it came from a someone who would be in the know.
  19. At least those grounds had the facilities to sell tickets to away fans.
  20. Any relation to Mal? Could be the guy who was sitting in the stand with some of our fringe players on Saturday. Looks like we had a trialist defender playing yesterday against St Mirren, so that could have been him too.
  21. No idea, but I'd have thought a weekend would be better so folk don't need time off work to get there.
  22. Hope the game is on the Sunday, as its Scotland v Ireland at Hampden on the Saturday night.
  23. Same weekend as Scotland v Ireland at Hampden which is a pain though. Hopefully we play on the Sunday so it's possible to get to both.
  24. To be fair, the women might do better than the Young QP did against Dundee Utd reserves last night
