  1. Ok having been to Leeds - it's not my city but it's certainly like Manchester become more progressive in last 10 years. well more progressive than Burnley. I think what I was trying to say is that England, little Englanders voted for Brexit. It would appear (without a demographic analysis) that these people in England pushed a Brexit 'Leave' over the line.
  2. Despite the desperate project fear propaganda from Government communications e.g. no bananas, no apples etc - it seems almost certain and will become apparent next week when these people return to parliament that there is not enough support for May's deal. By next Monday/Tuesday 14th January the deal will be dead leaving the ridiculous 'no bananas' thing meaningless. Don't actually think there is any positive outcome given how embittered it all is - best solution is the whole project Brexit is scrapped and placed in a large skip as a waste of money and a debacle. Then life gets back to normal.
  3. My post wasnt entirely 'correct' - nor was it politically motivated. This is a forum after all where factual accuracy doesn't necessarily manifest itself in all the posts. I thought or think a large part of Brexit was caused by people in incredibly crap towns in England whether Great Yarmouth, Middlesboro or Torquay or Luton being 'anti immigrant'. Burnley fans even display Union Jack flags with 'We voted Out' on the Union Jack. The place is a dive. If you go somewhere like Sunderland, Swansea or Gloucester (I've worked in them) these places are awful. Work was lost due to 'globalisation' and communities broke down. There are stark anti-immigrant views which are very visible due to EU incomers. I can understand why Brexit came about and why people voted 'leave' but its a bad idea. So if you break it down overall Brexit (which is problem we are suffering with whatever your political view) it was MOSTLY caused on a large scale by people (millions of people) in England who 'want rid of bloody immigrants' i.e. Leave EU. THE PEOPLE IN CRAP TOWNS AND CITIES IN ENGLAND AND WALES ALMOST CERTAINLY CAUSED THE BREXIT LEAVE VOTE. That might sound crass and of course there are people in Scotland who 'dinna like immigrants' but Scotland overwhelmingly voted to remain. I'm not Pro Independence for Scotland but Brexit is just wrong. Forget politics it's worst thing ever to happen to society, business, stability.
  4. England - its a shit hole of a country. Walk around Swindon, Sunderland, Birmingham, Leeds, Luton, Gloucester, Carlisle, Scunthorpe, Warrington, Stoke - these places are the pits. Unfortunatly the people who live in these places voted to leave. Little Englanders or at least people who tipped balance in favour of LEAVE in UK.
  5. Yes, quite a lot of Big Brother 1984-esque communications coming out since Xmas day. Unfortunatly, business and millions of people are taken in by the scare stories. But it shows you how much this Govt are in desperate terrible trouble by peddling out the messages they are, in an effort desperate strategy to get the bill through parliament. However, blood runs deep with this Brexit issue and the bill will get rejected. It will get all the more messy from end of January. Scare stories will not be enough come deal being voted down. The crucial problem I fear is Jeremy Corbyn is very weak. May and her shower of cronies have no tough opposition with any firm brexit policy to oust her. What happens if they have another vote. Its pretty obvious England & Wales will again vote to leave and Scotland will be 70% remain. Further enhancing division and argument. The solution is to call it all off - bad idea. Status Quo.
  6. Sorry, but Ferne Snoyle was a very good player. Technically ahead of everyone else in the same Dons team.
  7. 3-0 Penicuik. One sided - Easthouses struggled and looked forlorn at times.
  8. No. I made a post/comment in a fans football forum about 'Eyemouth United' repeat Eyemouth United from 'Eyemouth'. Only making a point after hearing (from someone connected to Eyemouth) that Eyemouth Utd were entering a team in Borders Am leagues. Jesus, go find yourselves something more important to be angry about.
  9. Absolute shite. While recognising an articulate response would never be forthcoming Eyemouth United or a club representing Eyemouth United want to join Amateurs in Borders. As you will be aware a club representing Gala Fairydean, Selkirk, Berwick R also play in Borders leagues. So I do apologise for alarming fans of EoSFL Eyemouth United - I am aware that the thousands of fans they have would recoil in horror at departure from EoSFL. But a club under Eyemouth United banner wants to join Borders leagues all be it that it might be a Colt team or an Amateur team or a reserve side. Thanks,
  10. I have not read through the whole thread but heard one or two clubs will withdraw from EoSFL and SoSFL and join respective Amateurs leagues. Eyemouth United I believe will step back to BAFA (Borders Amateur football) as Duns did a few years ago - withdrawal. A few clubs at Amateur level have eyes on a place in EoSFL in years ahead but intend to show worth in LEAFA before submitting an application. Those club(s) will be ones with own facilities, own clubs house, own pitch.
