It will be a complete embarrassment if Partick beat us to the title simply due to the fact how poor they have been for the majority of the season. The other week or so they were down in 5th. They’ve never been near 1st spot until now. This is all on us.

What I will say now after seeing Partick 4-0 up before the hour mark, we have to match their results. Every time I see Tiffoney score it just annoys me purely down to the fact Miller and Holt must have known about him.

Doesn’t matter what Partick do it’s what we do that counts. We can open up the 4 point gap on Saturday again if we get our house in order.

The guy from Airdrie looks a decent player but I think he’s a LB. Also the split fixtures are out.

Me neither. I think a Montrose result tonight could change the mood a bit so long as we get a result on Saturday.

How does these play-off’s work again? Am I correct in thinking it’s 2nd V 3rd and 4th V 2nd bottom of the championship and then the final?

I want out this league. The thought of us having been top for a large part of the season and not go up is gut wrenching. Adding to the fact, a third season in this league would be unbearable.

Does anyone know when Miller and McCracken’s contract ends? For example, if we don’t go up can they be binned easily?

I agree with all of the above here but we know Gomis or Miller (probably Gomis) is coming back into the team for next week. No way they have the balls to play that CM pairing away to Cove IMO.

Why don’t they just move the games to the Thursday since Partick are playing Montrose then anyway?

Sammon is having a decent game tbf to him. Mitchell having his usual star performance against us.

He made a right hunt of Rangers’ second goal against us, it was amateurish at best but tbf to PJ I think that was his only mistake I can remember.

I think we need a manger like Houston, not saying it has to be Houston himself but a character like Houston. Someone who can put his arm around them when needed but give them a rocket up their arse when also needed. I get the feeling the two we have like being their pals and it’s all fun and games. Apart from the end, Houston got the best out of some mediocre players. The fact we got to a cup final with that team and then finished 2nd to Rangers the following season.

There is no more room for error now. I am unsure whether the split would be a good thing or not as previously I wanted just to play up until 18 games but it now looks like we may need the extra 4 games to have any chance of winning this. We must take 7 points from 9 if we have any hope of winning this. Will we take the 7/9 ? Not a hope in hell considering we’ve taken 8/21. A change is needed and as others have said you probably aren’t getting someone in until the end of the season so it will need to be Holt. The thought of being in this league next year with the potential of Morton, QP, Partick and Airdrie etc gives me the fear.

Can people please stop this deluded attitude of “when we scrap over the line”. On what evidence are we going to scrap over the line? We’ve had 7 point leads, we’ve had 6 point leads and we’ve chucked it. We have no style, we can’t pass, we start games at walking pace. When Cove beat us, which they will because Hartley isn’t a total fruitloop, we’ll be dead even. Since Airdrie last beat us in December we’ve taken 8 points from a possible 21. Our home form this season is nothing short of pathetic in the third tier of Scottish football. So please stop the patronising BS because you are part of the problem. Maybe you like fannying about in League 1 but I certainly don’t and considering how long and sometimes how far we’ve been at the top we’re going to be the laughing stock once again when we blow it.

Pathetic, gutless and clueless. Everything is out the window, confidence is gone. Performances have been shocking all season but it’s alright because we were top of the league but results will soon catch up if performances are so poor like they have been so it’s no shock. We were given a warning against East Fife before the break and it’s evident we haven’t taken it. There is no style to our play, the signings on the whole have been atrocious and we have strikers who can’t score. It’s about time Gary Deans stops his talking and starts acting because we’re hanging by the thinnest threat possible and we 100% shouldn’t be.

There have been a few players who I thought are quite poor players but have went to ICT and actually play quite well. You have to give credit to Robertson for that.

Yes I agree their signings were better but again I’ll put into context. We were easily behind Raith when McKinnon was binned sitting 4th in the league after that feeble 1-1 draw in Dumbarton IIRC. M and M lost once since they came in before football was closed down and cut that gap to 1 point. That game against them at the stadium we were outplaying them with 10 men when Telfer got sent off. Look back at them highlights and it’s wave and wave of attack on their goal. When we went down to 9 there was no chance. They were just as bad as us, maybe slightly better but not streets ahead.
