  1. Enjoyable evening and a real optimism building from what Hartley has said. However, some fans don’t have ask some ridiculous questions. For example, Do you coach the players not to shoot outside the box? Good answers from him and he has clearly put the time and effort into making us better.
  2. Happy with that singing. Hopefully the boy is a bit of a player (on the field). Keep them coming Hartley!
  3. Some guys I know who support Alloa had mentioned some players weren’t happy but never mentioned names. Also Hartley chose to scrap their youth team to fund the first team, not saying he done that here as he stated it wasn’t his idea. At the Gala awards, Loy had said he had no problem at all with Hartley at Dundee or here when he came in and had no bad words to say about him, however now Hartley won’t even speak to him when he asks what he needs to do to get back in with the first team.
  4. Daily Record stating today that we’re in talks with Sibbald, McGhee, Longridge, Robson and Kidd over new deals.
  5. Hartley’s man management skills are worryingly bad. Many players who have played under him at either Alloa, Dundee and now us don’t speak highly of him. I’m all for clearing dead wood but there has to be an amicable way of doing so. Probably why we’re going down the route of signing unknowns from England because they won’t have worked under him before [emoji23]
  6. I think Paul Watson is actually a decent player when playing along side someone who compliments him. Him and Grant were outstanding when we finished runners up to Rangers before Grant got his injury. Unfortunately, both haven’t hit the same heights since. In the last few games you can see that partnership starting to come back but it’s all wasted now. Probably a right time for a change.
  7. I get that but would it have not just be easy releasing those out of contract all at the same time.
  8. 4 players???? Is that it? Welsh, Kidd and O’Hara escape the exodus. Better be more. There were far more out of contract than them four. As said, they weren’t the worst four but we need a change.
  9. Was out for lunch with the Mrs yesterday at the Beancross and Conor Park came in and picked up a guy with his bag sitting at the bar. Looked like a potential signing but no idea who he is. Must be someone from down south.
  10. I don’t get the criticism that Harris gets and the hype some of our fan base has around O’Hara. Both are equally pish. Shepherd has always been played mostly out wide fight recently when given a chance, and there’s no coincidence that when he’s now playing up front for Edinburgh City he’s scoring. However, this is not me saying he should come back and play for us because he shouldn’t, all I’m saying is when played in his natural position I think I’d rather have Shepherd than O’Hara. If it was up to me both would be gone.
  11. I agree re Welsh. Thought he came onto a game today after starting pretty slow. Still think he’ll go but wonder what he would be like if he stayed injury free and with a full pre-season under him.
  12. Kidd has to go. Nowhere near good enough to be in a team that wants to win the league or promotion. O’Hara (don’t get the hype around him with some folk), Shepherd, Harris and Loy swiftly behind.
  13. 24 League goals. Sometimes it takes dropping down a league to kick on. IMO he deserves a chance.
  14. When someone scores 30+ goals in a league it ultimately shows they deserve the chance in the league above. If we sign better, then great.
  15. I know most of our signings will come from England but in terms of strikers I would love to see us replace Loy with Hardie (providing Livingston don’t go up) and Shankland. Also keeping Jak. Would be decent options for us and all would be more than capable of getting double figures each.
  16. To be fair to him, he’s not had too much game time and is still up there. Decent strike on Saturday too. Has the ability but maybe not the consistency.
  17. Incrediable we have four players all joint top goal scorer after last Saturday. Jakubiak Longridge Muirhead McKee I fancy the Jak the steal it on Saturday.
  18. McKee had a good performance and capped that with a cracking goal. Kidd was decent as was the back 4. Robson’s goal was a fair hit too. Why did we put that performance in when it didn’t matter ? [emoji20]
  19. He did say their budget would be cut. No idea what type of money they pay.
  20. JR did say they’ve offered him a deal but others in the championship have offered him more. Might be true.
  21. That would have been win win for Harris. £10,000 pay off and in the junior leagues quicker than expected.
  22. Could be due to that then. Also, would like to see O’Hara and Shephard move on too.
  23. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh or he’s possibly set high standards and is just not been up to scratch the last month or so. He started superb with us as you say. He’s probably the least of the worries though, considering we need a goal scorer.
  24. I agree he would be good enough for a backup. I just feel he’s only had one good game against Dundee United , same as Tumilty, and dropped drastically.
