I agree with this and to add to the fact I think our Astro is now done and that can impact a player’s performance. How many players have we signed that have been decent elsewhere then come to us and they have been rotten?

Pretty much this. Get the new manager in and let him decide who he wants to keep and the positions he needs to strengthen. Then he can identify the players he wants to play his style of football. Anything can happen in the play- offs but we need to get some of our injured players back.

McClelland has been run ragged this second half. Sammon and Neilson has been decent.

That’s an absolute embarrassing goal to concede. He goes around about 6 of our players before he scores. Fotheringham should have been hooked long before he was. This group of players are a disgrace to the badge.

Very weird to have him on Falkirk TV there IMO. Keep things in house if he’s in for the job.

One thing that’s as obvious as the nose on your face, whoever the new manager is they will have to recruit 100x better. That is what makes or breaks a manager.

I’m not for a minute slating Fotheringham but let’s compare. We have been playing Fotheringham wide left mostly and Partick signed Tiffoney who is now playing wide left in a 4-4-2 formation. He has something like 6 goals and 5 assists since joining. That one signing , coupled with Rudden hitting form, has been the difference.

What’s Paul Hartley up to nowadays?

The hard part though is trying to work out who would be the best/ most successful. Take Hartley for example, a relative success everywhere he’s been bar us. Success is not guaranteed with experienced managers or inexperienced managers.

Whatever happens we need to get the appointment announced quite quickly after the play offs. The new manager must get his signings spot on and get us starting quickly again next season. As for this season, if we can get some players back before the play offs there’s no reason why we can’t give them a real go. Use the next 4 games to ensure we finish in the top 4. Not really sure who I would want. Peter Grant makes me feel uneasy for some reason. Just relegated with Alloa who must be bad if Arbroath is clear of them.

After the few years we’ve endured since Houston left, here we still are getting the utter pish ripped out of us by fans of clubs that shouldn’t be. We deserve every bit of it.
