I'm no bothered about you signing Sandy's players phildo. It's the way you go about it. The players you've mentioned (except ando and gogz) are shite and wouldn't get a game for Sandy's. The fact you've been at Sandy's players before their season finished is what bothers me. To all teams / players / associates of Leafa. I am no longer a part of Sandy's AFC or amateur football. I will delete the account I have on here to remove my association with Sandy's. Good luck to all amatuer player and teams in the future. Amatuer football has been a massive part of my life and it's a huge wrench to leave but it's a family commitment I have to make. I've probably annoyed people and maybe came across as arrogant but i am Sandy's through and through and will defend the club i love til the end. We lost a cup final tonight and deservedly so. Congratulations to tollcross. Maybe next year they can pip Sandy's.... or maybe not! OUT!!!

I'd agree to this. Put back a couple of cup competitions or even bin 1 or 2 altogether. Make the league paramount the first couple of months of the season and it keeps it it interesting come feb/March. Cup comps start Jan to may would work for teams. Even those who could get knocked out early doors

I think a lot of yous are missing the bigger picture here. Whether or not they got into the premier 'through the back door' or 'sneakily' is irrelevant. They are here and they are part of our association. I think they will give Leafa a lot more credibility in the Scottish going forward. It's well known teams from the west disregard our league and believe they are streets ahead of any of the best Leafa has, which maybe has been proven with their dominance of the Scottish in recent years. I believe the better teams we can get in the top division the more competition it creates and it makes players better. It also entices other players from maybe the EOS leagues into our amateur game. Giving Leafa a better chance of going further in the big one. I think Phildo should've took the offer of taking over Salvie for Lothian vale. They wouldve been a great addition to the premier as well. Sandy's, Tollcross, CP United (Pennies haha), Meadowbank, and couldve been Lothian vale, I better mention Tranent as well lol. Can you imagine the competition there? Not to mention the likes of Danderhall and Esv!!! What a cracking premier league we are gonna have next year. And that is the bigger picture.

Aye cos it'll be easy to judge them in a division they win a game by 10 goals every week eh? Only challenge they will have is cup games which are 1 off games. If the select manager has any sense he will stay clear of lothian vale players

Couldn't agree more! It's something that needs looked at. We have won a league this season through teams being unable to to field 11 bodies and also a team being kicked out the league. However, we have been on the wrong end of those unfulfilled fixtures a few years back. It's not right and it's something that needs looked at. I dont know what the solution could be but theres certainly a bit of unfairness in the current way.

I'm still better than half the players lothian vale have signed, even at 41, especially the 2 p***ks Miller and Hainey

Steven an acky wont get a shot. Even if they wanted it, which I doubt they would, they dont lick the arses of the Leafa head men the way they like, so it wont happen

Half the stuff on here is utter shite from people who have no idea how difficult it is to run an amateur team. Even more so a successful amatuer team. I hope Lothian Vale do well too and they will piss the league they are in. I just dont appreciate phildo trying to sign our players behind our back. As I've said he can have Darren and Dale they are shite and he wont get any of our better players
