  1. You wont be either if i get my way
  2. Whats everyones thoughts on the fixtures this weekend? Tollcross away to ESV and Sandys away to Salvie. Surely a win for Salvie will rule Sandy's out of a title challenge? At the same time a win for both Sandys and ESV will blow the whole thing wide open. Very interesting...
  3. Well given the run we went on playing 3 games a week for a good chunk of the season suggests we did have the best squad last year. I am familiar with Tollcross squad as ive played them enough times during my career to know faces. We have lost 4 or 5 guys from last year. Thats why I didnt say Sandy's. My opinion is honest on that front. Also, I have played against Salvie enough times to have the opinion that their squad isnt as good as Tollcross
  4. No the bit about Salvie having the best squad
  5. I am the wee guy from the sidelines lol
  6. Its my opinion. They have knocked out Fallin, Sandys and Tollcross. A lot of peoples fancies to win the cup. Yes, every game is different and things can go wrong but I think they will win it. If i could get a price on them I'd be having some of it
  7. Well done to Pennies. Cant see any team other than them winning the East this year
  8. I hope Pennies win it. We have played Pennies and Steins this season so I cant say much about the other sides outwith Leafa but imo Pennies have more about them than Steins so I hope they go on to win it. Barca Milton and ESV will not win it. As previously mentioned theres been a lot of noise about Pennies recently so they should go on and show people what the fuss is about
  9. I wouldnt think so, however, they can affect the teams who are looking to win it
  10. Salvie's record against Sandys is awful. Even when Yule and Omar played
  11. Now that January is out the way, who are everyones league favourites. In the prem have Tollcross done enough to finally win a title? Or does anyone fancy others to pip them to the title?
  12. I must agree. I felt we put a lot into getting something from the game that we ran out of legs in extra time. To be honest i thought Pennies were toiling physically after putting so much into the first half and there was a point where we had a good 20min spell where i felt they had nothing left. I was wrong. 1 or 2 guys from them were absolute stand outs. Number 14 up top was very good but the number 10 was outstanding. All over the park for the whole 120mins. I would be surprised if that boy stays amatuer for long. Massive talent
  13. Congratulations to Pennies. It was a good cup tie. Lots of stuff from the sidelines made the game seem worse than it was. On the pitch it was just two honest teams trying to win a football match. All the best to Pennies
  14. Its a very hard place to go i hated playing on it... was like a fecking gala day lol. Without being a cock it helps your back 3 big time. I'll pop down to watch it. At times i can understand your criticism of the defenders at our club. To be honest our defenders have more winners medals than the midfield and forwards do at sandys. They are ageing as they have been there a long time but theres absolutely no doubting what they have achieved in the amatuer game for sandys. I think we could do with recruiting 1 or 2 younger guys and integrate them to the defence but at the same time, the guys we have at the back are the same guys from last season.
  15. Agh ofcourse. To be honest it play it there also. Gives them a little advantage. Im not sure it does. Its a small pitch and at this time of year is very difficult to get the ball down and move it around. Can see this game being more of a battle than anything
  16. This is what a forum is all about. When we played Steins in the Scottish they did surprise us a little. The 2 boys at the back were very good for them and we got what we deserved on the day. Our season is at a point now where we are probably relying on good results in the east to salvage our season. I have said from the beginning it would be wrong to suggest anyone is a favourite as there are lots of temas capable on their day.
  17. Does it really matter what kind of attention any tie gets? Its all about peoples opinions. I wont tell you we have done enough this season as we simply havent, but to suggest we are an average side in amatuer football given what we have won over the last few years is miles out.
  18. So would every team in ammys, it goes to show how good a team sandys are that alot of people are talking about them and what they think will be their downfall Its obvious more people want us beat than dont, sometimes we dont help ourselves by comments and stuff but to be honest a lot of it is just banter. We fully understand why a lot of folk like to see us lose games but to be honest we dont give a s**t who wants us beat. We have a fairly solid core of guys who can cope with that stuff all year long. Ive said before though this is one of the most exciting seasons for Leafa that I can remember
  19. True bud but it does show frailties in your team if Danderhall are classes as a team below yourselfs I dont claim we are perfect we have weak points like a lot of amateur teams, thats why we are amateur. If we won every game 4 - 3 I would be delighted
  20. No they scored 4 the first game. What does it matter theyve took 0 points weve took 6. You dont win anything on goal difference
  21. 2 of the 3 goals was an own goal and a penalty. Danderhall arent the worst team going forward and to take 6 points off them is good for us. Its 5 goals conceded in 2 games, not 8. Yous can all speculate as much as you like we will see what happens against Pennies. If we lose the game i will post on here and congratulate Pennies but as I said theres games before then that we need to concentrate on
