I was in there a few weeks back for the first time in years, it's a really nice wee boozer.

Dumbarton is fairly shite for pubs and restaurants IMO, I only ever really "eat out" at the Abottsford Hotel or the Glencairn, but neither are particularly fancy. There's a wee place in the High Street called the Grill on the Bridge which has excellent food, but it's opening hours are limited and it's a BYOB effort.

Shitey weatherspooons type pubs everywhere in the high street which I avoid whenever I can. I prefer the "old man boozer" so the Stags Head or the Waverly (run by Scottish football Icon Drew Busby) are the best I'd say.

The Dining Room in West Bridgend (when it actually opens) is very good. I've heard the Indian in the High Street is good but I've never been. The Abbotsford is good again after going quite badly downhill for a couple of years.

Another wee point about Duffy, who predicted St Johnstone for relegation on Radio Clyde, much to the chagrin of Tommy Wright. Can anyone tell me where Saints are in the Premiership tonight?

I trust you know the answer, but if not: bottom of the league with a goal difference of -8. I might ask Jim Duffy for some national lottery numbers...

I don't think I have once ever managed to take the plastic wrapping of a mouthwash bottle without a battle. drives me bananas. and don't start me on toothpaste that has a wee bit of silver foil on the top after you take the lid off - invariably without any wee flap to get a grip of either.........

Likewise, ketchup bottles although they do have the flaps. And bottles of tonic water have a plastic cover over the lid that is disproportionately strong to it's size. If it doesn't have perforations then you're in for a battle.

The Jean Marc Bosman ruling has been a disaster for all but the elite clubs and the greed of players and their agents now runs rampant thro the game.

And can you imagine the carnage if Bosman 2 had ever seen the light of day? If I remember correctly, that scenario was that players would have"standard" employment contracts where they could simply hand in their notice and leave when they wanted. But maybe that would've prevented the rise of the ridiculous transfer fees that are doing the rounds these days and will no doubt lead to more clubs facing financial ruin?? You have to feel heart sorry for Bolton and Bury, irrespective of if their woes were self-inflicted or not. Lifelong fans will awaken one morning to find their club has gone and be reduced to watching Soccer Saturday. Nearer to home, are Dundee Utd still in financial bother? I read a year or two ago that they were the Scottish club most likely to go under. I understand the sell-on they got for Robertson going to Liverpool bought them more time but are they actually in danger of going under?

Came on to catch up on the pre fight verbals only to find out rockmusic and wilf are meeting up for a winch instead of a ladder match in the function suite as part of the pre match entertainment. Disappointing!

My only condition is no tongues on a first date. I'm not that kind of guy.
