  1. The reason we got stuck with shite for so long was Gary f**king Holt signing players on 3 yr deals the only pass mark he got was Leon McCann other than that they have been well below par and that includes offering his laddie a 2 year deal when his football career since 2019 has been 3 games.
  2. I wonder at what point the penny drops with the lad that a he isn't very good or b his agent must have some pics to be able to get him signed by anybody
  3. To quote Tony Benn here but this fits our old board completely: “I think there are two ways in which people are controlled. First of all frighten people and secondly, demoralise them.” The only way they could frighten us anymore would be to sign Leo Fasan again.
  4. The funny thing is i saw Darvel nearly appointed him, I can only imagine they wanted to be relegated or a collapse from the inside. He even gave his laddie a 2 year deal he got loaned out and even Gretna wouldn't play him.
  5. Listening to Falkirk daft earlier and agree with Lewis and john said in the fact you can take a defeat as long as there is a bit effort shown but last Tuesday there was no guts about any of the team for the fight and Saturday was a meaningless game any sort of play for pride and the fans were completely gone.
  6. I dont mind PJ tbh I would much rather have seen him in goal the last of the games than Kinnear, possible more experienced player to come in and challenge or bring him on more ? Happy if McGinn stays and I thought in regards to Oliver he did bring a lot more into play and was a bit unsung grafter though he said himself he isn't a natural goal scorer but did beat his own record for goals scored. Lawal if he stays will obv start more or bed in during pre season see how he does from the start.
  7. As far as cluster f*cks in Defence go his mojo was player gets past him scores and shouts at everyone else to cover up his f*ck up and make out it wasn't him at fault.
  8. Spoken to a few Dundee Utd fans at work their view of Coll is nice guy tries hard but needs an experienced head beside him to talk him through a game, apart from that a bit of a disaster. Another ICT fan at work opinion of Brad has to be shouted at once in a while to keep him in focus (sounds about right) Burrell showed why he didn't get the start with McGlynn personally think the last few games he put in a sort of half arsed attempt at an effort, poor first touch good as an impact sub but not as a starter. Lawal I think is one for the future and this was a see how he is. I think Watson in CD wouldn't be a bad shout if we offered him a deal poss at a reduced term was fussed when he left last time but he seems to have done well wherever he went since he left us. By far I thought Yeats was excellent on Saturday.
  9. Did you not go on a run of winless games before you decided to punt McCall ? and did he not have a few off-field issues to deal with ?
  10. I'm going but i'm questioning why, it's more a question of how many will turn up and that's including the team. I'm kind of thinking back to that joke "when I die can I get FFC to lower my coffin so they can let me down one last time"
  11. I know what you mean, I know PJ had a dip in confidence after his injury but Kinnear just doesn't cut it defensively we are by no means brilliant I get that but he is costing too many goals and he is slowing play up in getting the ball back into play. I know he is out of contract at West Ham but I really hope we haven't offered him one, as we might as well write off next season as well.
  12. He did gift them the first goal though caught out of position. Although redeemed himself with the penalty
  13. Most of us have played football at some level in our years and all been on the wrong end of a bad result even without any sort of manager as a kickabout in a meaningless game just for the sake of playing football but even at that level as a player you want to give 100 per cent and figure it out as you go along but Tuesday ffs even playing as a kid I would have been embarrassed and try to shut up shop. We just cant cope with big games or games that mean something with players shitting the bed whether that means getting a sport psychologist to get it into their heads I don't know. If Kinnear is still in goals though we might as well gift Airdrie the game.
  14. See FFC1876 post and that's where I am at and in agreement with him, Tuesday hurts but at the same time have to mind the last time at Airdrie we won and also in agreement with Clyde poster don't get me wrong I expect high standards and everyone should but the same time there's expectation and reality there are a lot of variables at play the same time we aren't entitled to win it we should be but, don't get me wrong but let's be realistic it's not going to be handed to us and teams are going to make it hard for us. Have a sense of realism here though look at the managerial merry go round everyone thought MacKinnon would be a good appointment look where that got us, everyone thought Sheerin was a good appointment look where that went. Folk were calling for Rennie to get the gig and look how that finished out the end of the day like him or loathe him and Tuesdays cluserfuck aside he has come closer than any other appointment to getting us up. Do we just pluck names out a hat from a supporters list and if they fail sack them as if that's the route we want to take we need a bit of consistency and changing managers, players and style of play every season is going to keep us in this shitty league longer. Tactics were wrong but the end of the day the capitulation comes down to the players As for the Nesbitt enigma looking at his assists and goals thinking about that may have made other teams come sniffing and hopefully cash in or swap deal with someone else (still hoping we can swap him) but his showing since he signed a new deal you wouldn't get much on his showing since.
  15. Just a wee reminder, Dennon Lewis, Dallison, Sammut, ToE, Leo Fasan, Paul Paton, Dan Turner Froxylius, Dylan Mackin, Marcus Haber to name but a few now look at the signings to go from that to where we are we went from a 5th in the league to 6th last season and finished 2nd if the remit was improvement then he has achieved that we got to the semi of the Scottish cup (no one seen that coming). For starts it's been good going to games not expecting a gubbing FC Edinburgh and Airdire on Tuesday and at the season excepted. The problem is we have constantly shat the bed when it has camer to big games see the playoffs when we were in the championship any game that has had the chance to turn Falkirks fortunes round the players don't simply turn up and that's not just a McGlynn thing
  16. Calmed down now and yes still pissed at the result, saving grace best season in 3 years and closest we came to being promoted till the players chucked the towel in when the whistle blew on Tuesday night. Only thing I can say is never make a decision when angry I get the McGlynn out shouts but this is the closest we came with having more better games than poor than the past 3 seasons. But a bit sense to appoint McCall another rebuild of the team and if he doesn't get us up in the first go then what sack him again and rinse and repeat. Its uncharted waters granted well for 3 seasons it isn't but for the first time compared to M&M, Sheerin and Holt we have a decent enough manager. It is and always will be a shite and humiliating result to take and a sore one.
  17. I think he was adjusting as to me he looked a bit overweight but the same time he's gone to full time football and also different style of play granted he's a poacher just needs a bit more confidence and game time to adjust but will get that pre season.
  18. I know McGlynn said PJ had a bit of a dive in confidence and I get that and letting Kinnear get a shot but he is costing us too many goals he is gifting a goal a game last night if the first time I left a game so early I sacked it after 4, this is going to be unpopular with some folk and I get that the game is about opinions in the past 3 seasons of shite we have had a team to get excited about we went on a 13 game unbeaten run which given recent times for us is up there with getting a planetary alignment and winning the lottery, there have been games that have been a joy to watch especially Kennedys goal in the cup and McGuffies goal from his own half. Last night has been up there with shittiest of shittiest results but I put it more down to players than manager I get the tactics were wrong but Nesbitt when back to his old self and don't even get me started on Williamson, big Coll as well is costing us. Brad and Leon I thought were coping not too bad. Kinnear was too slow in getting the ball out again. I genuinely believe in McGlynn and I really hope we keep McGinn but we really need to stop shitting the bed when it comes to big games its the Falkirk way we heap so much pressure on ourselves and we f**k it right up just once I would like to wake up the morning after an important game and have that warm and fuzzy feeling of we finally didn't bottle it. Last night was a sore one mainly for the fact of the past few seasons of dross and shite we actually had a chance to get out this shitty league but the players cost us and the ones that let us down I hope to f**k McGinn let them know but they won't lose an iota of sleep over as they will never understand how much that meant to us and how it changes nothing for them. Adding into this teams sussed how to play against us we need a plan b to counter that and a plan c
  19. As long its its not Kinnear it has to be an improvement, last night was almost Leo Fasan level
  20. Was it not a 2 season plan anyway with this season as something to build on, In all honesty with the exception of last night, FC Edinburgh and the semi final as well as the subbing at Airdrie at the start of the season I've enjoyed this season f**k its an achievement to finally get to the play offs instead of finishing mid table and even 6th at least its shown progress its the positives I can take from this season. As usual Falkirk tradition though we shat the bed when it was time to be counted at least this time it wasn't at our place in front of a full house.
  21. That is the first time I have had a sleepless night and had nightmares over a Falkirk game replaying in my sleep If someone sees Williamson tell him I can swing by the stadium I'll gladly drop the Cnut off at Montrose Kinnear was an accident waiting to happen and cost us too many goals (he should have brought PJ back 4-5 games ago) gutted with last night, I don't think I could even stomach watching Saturday its like paying money to go to see a film you already know the ending to why bother
  22. Absolutely shitting it for tonight given Airdrie's past in playoffs and our Track record in shitting the bed at big games I'm not even going to attempt any sort of prediction I know how I want it to go but the reality is a. this is Falkirk and b anything can happen so if I look on the shite side anything that is the opposite is a bonus.
  23. I was never that fussed on him when he was here the first time but since he left us he has always managed to do a job as well as bang in a few goals. I do think he came back a better player prior to injury mind you.
  24. If I mind right when he came back from injury had a bit of a dip in confidence in one of the interviews McGlynn said, Kinnear not getting a new gig at West Ham and unless we are looking to put a contract to him then we might have burned our bridge with PJ.
  25. I think best option for right back would be McKay/Yeats with Watson coming through at the weekend would look at pairing him up with Donaldson, I like Mackie but is is prone to the odd gaff and he looked uncomfortable and had a few mistakes the last time at Airdrie which could have cost us. My other concern is and I hate to say it but Kinnear has too many mistakes in him and costs us a goal which he does seem to make up with his odd heroics i.e. he redeemed himself with saving the penalty but he cost us the first goal.
