  1. Oliver brings others into play as well as he did manage his own best of getting into double figures, Burrell was a good impact sub folk wanted him to start which is understandable but after the Kelly game against Alloa when we got what we wanted with Burrell starting he didn't take his chances to stake a claim for a weekly starting slot and as mentioned it did look clear the last games he couldn't be arsed. with MacIver I think you could say the same as any other player a lot of factors add to why they aren't as good comes down to style of play, managers attitude (Hartley as an example)there could be a shit load of reasons. Look at what McGlynn managed to do with some that we had labelled as shit the season before well ok new lease for some only to revert the end of the season.
  2. I heard they wanted the blue changed to Tory blue
  3. In fairness I call it balance for the season when everyone looked at the unveiling of Bartley's duds and thought "these guys look like genuine ballers' the fact they looked like football players is where the similarities stopped. That season everyone looked a class signing this is just a sort of karma to balance that one out or don't count your chickens before their hatched really..lol
  4. I mind right when Jeffries first signed him and seen him play for the first time I recall him not looking like he would make an impact think it was coming to the end of the season the next season he made his mark though. Gareth Hutchison was another one that was like that kind of think he was an Oliveresque type player didn't get the credit he deserved. although folk remember him for what he got wrong in a game.
  5. Matchwinner ones have got to be my favourites the yellow and blue effort as well as the white red and blue tops
  6. Wouldn't think so tbh Matchwinner are back and they are doing replicas of all their old kits and I dare say Hummel are still going surely would imagine there would be some sort of design/copy/Image rights issue
  7. That added to Jamies comments when I asked about Matchwinner retro I do believe the comments from the CEO were "there will be retro tops for every year of the 5 yr deal" so by the looks a Hummel style which wouldn't be too bad just hope the quality is better than what Hummel was.
  8. The fact that no Falkirk supporter has went over to your thread even if you are in the championship bit to comment shows how much we do not give a fuckery about Raith. The fact that your on a falkirk thread during the close season commenting on anything Falkirk either shows a the schools off, b your a needy attention seeker (I'm going to go with the second option here)
  9. Didn't they have a few legal issues or something with that or did it not go to grassroots foundation or something and not so much the club, copied this but doesn't look good they didn't budget right: Taken from PTFC below: Following their appointment mid-season, the Club Board quickly established that we did not have sufficient funds to complete the season with a substantial cash-flow deficit. We secured our immediate future via loans to the club from Directors, with longer-term investment now being sought. Despite these measures, the implementation of cost cuts and the benefit of revenues associated with both our cup runs and our progress to the cinch Premiership play-off final, we will still return a significant loss of around £280k for the season just ended. This loss was to a large extent caused by an anticipated investment into the club not materialising, at the same time as the previous board committed to an increased playing budget for the men’s team with the objective of achieving promotion. There were also some errors with the original budget which meant costs would always be higher than planned in some areas
  10. Just seen it on twitter there 280k loss for the season just ended
  11. You really need to stop being so positive
  12. Has anyone emailed the club to ask if we are scouting the juniors ?
  13. Its comparing night and day when your comparing Holt and McGlynn to each other plus another take on it is if a player becomes a saleable asset if there was a chance to get money for Nesbitt regardless how much or Morrison then it allows to bring in better or that would be my take on it.
  14. Why do I get the bad feeling that when Jamie Swinney said on twitter that there would be retro strips for the duration of the 5 yr o Neill deal O Neill's think retro strip is 80s wallpaper type looking strip in the same vain as Ayr's fwiw worth if you type in Oneills and falkirk fc this comes up:
  15. On another note I see works started on the new pitch for next season: https://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/sport/football/update-work-to-replace-falkirk-fcs-artificial-surface-begins-after-levelling-up-funding-aids-project-4165499 It's all happening at the Bairnabeau
  16. Still more game than Ryan Williamson and that's probably across his contract
  17. In fairness with the "Grants" of 500k to the championship clubs when we had to fight over scraps its about time we had something go in our favour. and given the amount of shite the SG and as well as WG and Falkirk council piss money up against the wall on for a change I can get behind this one
  18. Wouldn't mind Blaine Rowe back especially as he is a free agent now plus RB issue solved, but if what Falkirk daft said is true that Calum and him didn't get on or it could be cheery bye Calum
  19. Every player that we negotiated a release with over the last 5 yrs has agreed to pay back the money they got from the club putting us in the black and making us 1 of the super clubs in Europe as far as cash goes ? Ok that's never going to happen on either of those but we can dream can't we
  20. Professor plum in the conservatory with the revolver
  21. couldn't agree more, Far too much a sensible post this sort of post shouldn't be tolerated. hang your head in shame for not ridiculing the lad or demanding we sign Messi
  22. Few takes on this before Nesbitt got his 2 year deal and went back to doing a Charlie Teller impersonation (anonymous) he was up there with most assists not to mention the fact he was in League 1 team of the year my take on that is offering him the 2 yr deal on the back of the stats makes sense which if anyone elsewhere was looking makes him a saleable asset, getting any sort of money for Nesbitt would be a no brainer in my opinion. Secondly for moans of the new signing I'm happy to give the guy a chance and as mentioned McGlynn must see something in him as far as potential goes or he wouldn't have been signed as mentioned numerous times, we lack a physical presence in the team which is something that has kept us in this league for too long. and the 3rd point no matter who we sign lets face it they aren't going to be good enough we could sign Messi and someone would still pipe up that he is shit. We seen what happened at the unveiling of Hartley's heroes that took us into this league and when they were unveiled as looking like "players" but unfortunately that's where it stopped with the exception of Brough who is the only one I would give any sort of pass marks to and admit was a Bairn
