  1. Pretty much remember last year that folk were still wanting to give Houston a chance 7 games into the season without a win, this is pretty much a meaningless diddy cup game which is being treated as part of a pre season and trialling formation and finding a starting 11. At least wait until we are a few games into the start of the season and not won a game before booing the players or slating Hartley look on the bright side at least Harris and Sheps are nowhere near the team.
  2. There are a few meetup groups main one being the Glasgow Hill walking club there is also an Alloa one as well on there. Only thing that gets me is there are some that have done all the Munro's a couple of times which for a beginner is a bit daunting. I just tend to find a few thats easy enough to get the confidence up and join in after that, Ben lawyers, Ben Ghlass and Ben Chonzie good ones for starting out.
  3. When you consider his goal against Morton when Alex Smith was in interim charge gave us our first win of the season.
  4. I find it a bit mental that ok i will grant they said they wont miss him but given the fact he was player of the year 2 seasons ago suggests he isn't a bad player just going by his interview he had a few off field problems and had a bad season in other words he was Hartlepools equivalent of Rory Loy
  5. Kidd said himself he was a midfielder at Celtic it wasnt till he moved to QotS they moved him to right back.
  6. Pretty sure some of the QotS posters have said that Aero has a massive hatred for all things QotS not sure why though.
  7. Kidd just signed a new contract so wont be him back up maybe
  8. Bristol City apparently interested in him
  9. If its a waiting game on on the Jak then thats a fair one but we still need one other
  10. Yogi gave most of the young players one year deals his reasoning for it being it would keep them hungry and would mean they were playing for their contracts for the full year instead of bothering there arse to show up only when it came to contract renewal time the downside to that is anyone that was half decent got picked up for hee haw at the end of the season. the 2 yr deals were to the old heads that were playing on. My honest view is board were sold an idea by GC and Yogi and bought into it there was only one flaw in that idea "it was Bollocks" The next level p*sh was our downfall bigger budget better players unfortunately those better players were 10 yrs out of their prime so experienced yes but slow as sh*t.
  11. Is it too early to start with who will be the gem and who will be the dud this season out of the new signings ?
  12. definitely going up for it, wonder if any trialists will be playing
  13. End of the day to sum up Yogi Most successful Falkirk manager = Yes W*nker of a person = Yes Case closed
  14. Pretty sure Chris Mitchell and Marc Twaddle were products of the academy as for Yogi no one will touch him with a barge pole how many good players did we lose because of his ego, there was an article a while back about him and his agent cant work out why he cant get a gig but pretty sure the response was because of his attitude/ego. Yes we did have a bit success under Yogi but the same time as mentioned he is partly responsible for the mess we are in, "The Next level" was Yogis version of "Our Time" only more of a spending spree on players that were over the hill but would have been good signings in there prime.
  15. We also signed Jason Lee as a striking option during the awfulview season anyone thats watch sky sports or MOTD has seen some of his misses in fact he was reknowed for missing the goal just as a reminder of how bad some of them were and at least he didnt consign it just to England.
  16. Biggest let down has to be BoB although Yogi did sign a good few other duds Jason Lee being another surprise of a signing i cant believe no one has mentioned Vaulks has to be up there with Farid
  17. Agree on that one Pressley was trying to install a positive mindset in struggling team , am all for optimism f**k i even was open to Harris being a half decent player and giving the lad a chance when he joined (last time i do that again..lol). It has been an exciting few weeks and fair play to BB for the way he has been teasing with the twitter with the signings and the announcements as its made a close season a bit exciting, I think the last time we had as much in the way of wholesale changes to the team was the season when McCall took over and then we finished the season with Yogi and Owen Coyle and promotion the relegation that never was season if i mind right (thank you airdrieonians). I do think there are some posters that have spent so much time on one f all they can do is moan about the club and try to bring it onto here. Looking forward to Wednesday and the Aberdeen friendly
  18. Turned it off commentator was doing my nut in spent more time talking about irrelevant sh*t than the football. I thought they had a closed doors game agains Newport County when they were in Wales ?
  19. Note to self remember iPad has auto correct and proof read before posting ffs who the f**k thought auto correct was a good idea anyway
  20. From what i read last night its not so much a comment but the way i think it was put, It just seems like some posters dont like Hartley whether its they way some players were ejected from the club last season or they just dont like the guy for no apparent reason. I still think Hartley could win the league the Irn Bru cup the Scottish Cup and there would still be folk calling the guy down. Bit of perspective though we all want to win every game but the fact is we have more or less an entire new team some players are adapting to different playing style some are making a move from playing part time to full time. It was a meaning less friendly and if you basing a season on one meaningless friendly then you need to have a word with yourself
  21. Any attacking option with either Sheps or O Hara is a scary thought and not in the thought it will demolish defences in the fact i dont hold out much hope of either being able to hit the net. also think Mitchell will start in goals before Fasan
  22. Are the English teams not closing the transfer window early or is that limited to premiership teams only.
  23. I dont think Andy Nelson will be back by the looks as he wants to fight for a place at Sunderland which is a fair one, hopefully Jak will be back but as said would be better with an experienced head up front. https://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport/football/sunderland-afc/andrew-nelson-to-be-handed-sunderland-chance-by-jack-ross-as-he-waits-on-lyle-taylor-1-9221967
  24. Didn’t they state if the game didn’t go on against us in December they would have struggled to meet the wages and bills for that month, i’ll Give them till the end of the season if they make it that for for admin mark 3 or whatever it is now lost count.
