I hope some sort of formal inquest is planned for a lessons learned type of document but I could never understand why the bulk of a clearly failing squad were re-signed season after season when it was quite apparent that the players weren't good enough and that the odd addition such as Buchs would somehow transform the dross into a promotion chasing side. Ye still cannae make a silk purse out of a pigs ear. Well we are where we are. I too thought Mango was the only real quality player we had on the team.

Agreed. We all moaned about Bollan's refusal to use the bench, which he was useless at. Ross seems to suffer from the same mentality. The team has played a number of games in close proximity but the starting IX has not been changed. The bench currently includes some decent players. Can't really pretend to understand the mentality. I get the Carty starting but he has scored no goals (nor to my admittedly limited viewing has come close to doing so) so why has Renton not been subbed on after 60 mins to do what he does, which is pretty much what Carty does anyway.

Can we play you every week you utter losers

Well that was a hard watch against a not great Edinburgh side. Although we looked comfortable for much of the game, we have zero physical presence in the midfield and up front. The one moment of quality resulted in a goal, at last, for Bucks. I just hope the gaffer is able to bring in the players he needs to turn this side around.

Aye, we could have. Cammy made some fine saves. It worries me that despite seeming to be playing a 4-3-3ish we create very, very little up front. Most of the few chances we create is from folk joining in late in the play from other areas of the park.
