  1. 2 red cards at the final whistle. One for the above-mentioned donkey and one for the Gretna Manager. Also quite amusing was CC getting abuse from a member of the Gretna entourage for the fat shaming of said donkey by the Cowden faithful. Football fans calling a fat b*stard a fat b*stard. Surely not and whatever next ? Anyhoo. First time I've seen our lot in the flesh this season. Ran out reasonably comfortable winners today and the players worked hard. Slaven could and really should have scored a couple more goals and a 5-0 scoreline would not have been unfair. Alfie Robinson was a standout and certainly MoM, in my opinion. Hope his injury is not too serious. I do see and share the concerns of the compadres that some of the players are a bit lightweight and too easily brushed off the ball and the passing at times was atrocious. However, onwards and upwards mes amis. A great confidence boost and hopefully we can give Bo'ness a pasting next week. Thanks to all the people behind the scenes who gave out such great hospitality. I wander home to Bedfordshire replete with a new Blue Brazil T shirt and the rather splendid bar mat !
  2. Did I hear correctly in Ross's interview with the paper that he was thinking of maybe moving some players out ? Does anyone know if some of them are on game to game contracts or 3 month or short contracts ?
  3. Woo hoo ! Forgotten what it feels like. Coming up for the Gretna game on Saturday with a slight spring in the step. Well done lads.
  4. 3-0. That has become a depressingly familiar f**king ring on our scoreline. This is Maurice's team. He can talk the talk but needs to walk the walk. Pronto.
  5. Official site a bit tardy at the moment, re the new signings ?
  6. I assume you are going to change your moniker to berwick-the-soundly-thrashed ?
  7. Some of the best, most professional, camera work and footage I've seen. The defence needs to stop pratting around with the ball in the box and just clear it. However some good stuff on display and I am encouraged.
  8. Was just thinking that meself. Definitely similar to the 77 to 81 one, I think. How about reversing the blue and the white for the away strip. That would look cool.
  9. Away and take your face for a shite.
  10. Anybody who went able to offer any observations on the game last night ?
  11. Watched the Maurice Ross interview. In it he referred to wanting 2 or 3 more signings - an attacking winger, a midfielder and a 'back up goalie'. I would presume from that comment that he knows who he wants or already has for his first choice in goal.
  12. And yet we managed to end up with Stephan Gollasch.......
  13. Just to do a 'just saying'... I could understand that mindset if we had a few 'experienced' players in the squad but we don't. Surely the young (and so-called hungry) players we have signed will want to prove themselves (and therefore put themselves on the market) against the allegedly 'elite' younglings associated with the top clubs. ? If they can't rouse themselves against the likes of those then surely turning up for (in the right frame of mind) and beating say a university side is going to mean that it is going to be a long and tough season for us ? Not any kind of an acknowledgement that the whole B team inclusion in the league doesn't suck but since we are where we are, just trying to provoke a few thoughts....
  14. Away and take yer face for a shite.
  15. Anybody sneaking down to training to see how many turn up ? Bit quiet on the signing front, only the Spartans loanee this week.
  16. I'm sorry but no f**** in a Blue shirt appeared to have the wherewithal to pass to a teammate in at least the last 3 years. I defy any of the compadres to tell me hat anyone bar Gill, Craig and at a push Mullen were anything other than not up to standard. I don't need to say that it has been pointed out none of our players bar Gill has got an SPFL berth. That is a scathing indictment of the Bollan years. Hence the lessons learned thingy.
