What age is Nicky Low? Not sure if he is as old as he looks? Similar to Trusdale I would have said looking at him he was the other side of 30 was genuinely shocked how young he was, not sure if Nicky Low is older player or just looks older.

I personally don't think Nicky Low is the same player he was however unsure if the length of contract is because he is experienced head.

Can exclusively reveal he is 76 years old.

You sometimes hear about airlines threatening to sue them for the cost of diverting the plane, don't know if it ever happens.

Good luck recovering it from some of the folks that are responsible. I often wish id taken the chance i had to do my APL but didnt, but then i think about the possibility of flying the ryanair glasgow to ibiza flight in the height of summer and suddenly glad i didnt.

Shame you never hear about what happens to these idiots after they're dragged off the plane by the police, I bet they just deport them back to the UK to save the expense of holding them and going to court, or just let them go.

Oh actually a lot of the time they just get ‘interrogated’ by the local police and fined. Whats actually interesting is the UK approach to stuff from airlines, good example being the canadian pilot who was drunk in charge of the plane, fucker had to stay in Scotland until his trial.

Unfortunately those decent passengers would have been hauled out and arrested for ABH/GBH.

Even police and security have to be very careful these days dealing with scum like these arseholes. They too can end up in court if the accused become the accusers.

Perhaps @Inanimate Carbon Rod can provide information on the (softly softly?) approach to policing such characters.

Actually have been on a flight, dalaman to glasgow where some lovely people threatened to ‘take the fucking heid aff’ one of the cabin crew and had to intervene. Didnt need to restrain them or anything, just a simple ‘sit down and shut up’ and thankfully they got huckled at the airport. Apparently it wasnt anyone else’s problem that they were smoking on the plane. I think flying brings out the worst in people, some feel really nervous and some think they need to drink like a fish or something.

Dunno if folk remember that film ‘the fifth element’ but there was a bit where the characters got on a spaceship and the done thing was to knock people out for the duration of the flight, cant help but think that should be looked at.

So anyway, to actually answer your question, you can actually use force to assist at the request of the captain/cabin crew, same as on the street. But yes, it can go very wrong. There are certain flights i would never get on based on the behaviour of people on them.

  5. Look i think there comes a time in every fathers life where a cross roads of either staying and doing the dad thing or completely abandoning your kids to compete in the underground breakdance circuit will arise. I dont blame this guy.

This reminds me of how many times I have been tragically derailed on holiday food wise.

Went to Naples and didn't buy a pizza.

Went to Sicily and didn't try their ice cream in a bun thing.

I'll probably fail to have a sausage and pilsner in Germany in June.

Worst pizza i ever had was in the airport in Naples.

My underrated food is Bruschetta, toasted good quality bread, olive oil, amazing italian tomatoes, flakes of sea salt and a drizzle of fantastic balsamic vinegar. Honestly so simple but perfect.

    Overrated food- mushroom pakora.

Imagine how that would go , the wankies might even win something FFS 🤷‍♂️

Not much chance of Glenafton winning much though, you could play in a league with 1 team and probably mess it up.

Anyway, not a big follower of the junior cup but hopefully Talbot absolutely pump Darvel.

How? Witnesses are unreliable, and simply seeing a shooter tells the police nothing about if the shooter was a bad guy or a responding good guy (I know, it’s a f**king insane situation, but there’s a fair chance that plain clothes officers were dispersed throughout the crowd). You then have the fact the “identified person” is a description of one person in a crowd of hundreds of thousands. Literally hundreds, if not thousands, of people would have legally been carrying weapons at that event (again, I know).

The other big problem is the most likely shooters in a case like this are from communities where the police are distrusted and witnesses will NOT easily or quickly come forward to talk to the police. The loss of local beat officers , and the isolation of patrol officers in vehicles, has eroded the lines of communication and trust to a great extent.

The issues with too many forces in the states is clear, but school police depts should be drilled in what to do in these circumstances, they are supposed to drill for them and senior officers are supposed to know their role in the situation and unfortunately its not to jump about and be the hero when there are dozens of other police officers present, he failed to ensure he had appropriately functioning equipment, it was a failure of leadership, he failed to step back and coordinate allowing it to descend into chaos. He absolutely should be prosecuted. I know my role in the event of a major incident, he should have done his correctly and also ensured his department had functioning radios suitable for purpose.

The basic problems are; there was no clear process for designation of a onsite leader, there was no attempt to follow current training to attack the shooter until they are neutralised, and both officers (and parents, for that matter) attempting to take action were prevented from doing so. While it’s easy to blame the Uvalde ISD Police Chief, the charge wouldn’t stand simply because there is no damning evidence he WAS in charge and/or knew it.

I would like to know how the police who prevented a fellow officer, whose wife bled to death during the waiting, from attacking the room where the suspect was barricaded are dealing with that? Or the cops who threatened parents and bystanders with arrest if they didn’t move away from the school while some of their children either bled to death or were executed for calling out in response to the police? I’m shocked how few of the involved officers have resigned.

Fewer than 10 officers have faced any discipline or charges for this massacre, and it’s doubtful any more could be charged. The coroner charged with investigating how many may have survived if police intervened sooner was dismissed shortly after he got started and had announced at least 1 person was alive 20 minutes after it started (died before the 70 minute mark), and that another 4 had heartbeats when the situation ended but died. He was then removed, the investigation shutdown, and he was never given access to autopsy data.

Im sorry but i disagree with you, the up chief was the most senior officer at the locus, unless its claimed elsewhere that means given its his jurisdiction that its his ball. Granted i work in a different area, but as a supervisor if i go to something then its clear as to who is in charge and thats something that you have to be able to be answerable to your decisions. That idiot went to that school to play at big shot and was overwhelmed, his inaction led to children being killed. My understanding is the tactic is the same in the US as it is in the UK, that active shooters should be engaged and stopped, he failed to do that and actively prevented capable police officers from doing so. You can hear the shots going on as he holds the containment. It was despicable. Sometimes you find yourself in situations where you’re terrified, but he was a shitebag and should be locked up. Another one who loved the title ‘police chief’ but failed to do his duty.

The house phone rings this morning Wife looks at the number and it is a Beith number so she picks it up and there is a old man on the line He asks her did some one phone his number a hour a go from our landline in Beith  She said no He told her that he got a phone call from "the bank" telling him that he had a couple of suspicious transactions He said he was very aware of these scams and put the phone down He was very apologetic about having to phone her to double check Wife put it on facebook and someone told her that the scammers now have the technology to get a local number to come up on peoples phones when they phone them

Yes numbers can be spoofed very easily and is something that happens quite a lot.

Also, please for the love of f**k can people stop sending money to people on facebook market place for things, almost every single hour there is a scam on it, concert tickets for gigs popular with the younger folks are the biggest earners. One gig at a Glasgow venue had something like 500 people attend with fake tickets.

I'd like to see the Uvalde Police Department with a similar conviction, but this won't happen, mainly as Police don't have a duty to protect citizens in the U.S.

Its wild (but not that surprising) that the U.S. is more attracted to increasing incarceration than it is to actual gun control. There's even chat in that article of prosecuting schools. Teachers who have to buy their own materials and in charge of huge classes being jailed for failing to prevent a shooting.

    f**k me.

Fwiw the person who acted as commander for that incident should absolutely imo be charged as criminally culpable, that whole incident was despicable.

So once you know you can't come back with a valid argument you resort to that.

No i mean anyone with a brain cell can see that groundsharing is a good idea for clubs, you’re just so bitter that every single post is a dig at Clydebank in some way, honestly i love it, you could be on the politics forum posting about Brexit or something and still feel the need to blame Clydebank for it.

I think you will be hard pushed to find a Darvel fan that would have agreed with them going on a stag do. Thats said I was probably in the minority and was glad to lose out in the play offs, I am against the Lowland league and open about it.

The idea of getting into league 1 or 2 for a club our size was never going to be sustainable, we simply don't have the fan base the likes of Pollok/Talbot have who probably could hold their own at that level however I think as club they understand their positions, Clydebank have illusions of grandeur and live off the name of a club that was taken over by Airdrie, Clydebank have next to no history and are against the Scottish Cup as they could never win it, hardly won a trophy since they started as a club in the early 2000s. If their fans are so against the idea of not allowing ground shares, what should be the maximum number of clubs allowed to share a ground, who should take priority, if Yoket were to get into the West Prem and Clydebank still be there who takes priority of the ground? St Cadocs and Benburb is slightly different as it is Benburbs ground, St Cadocs just rent the park effectively.

I dare say scheduling fixtures is difficult enough and once you get them lined up you realise they need changed as you have clashes all over the place with ground shares etc...have your own ground simple as that, if you can't manage it join an amateur league. But the san siro....Own ground or no access to west prem and above. One thing I won't criticize John Gall on is the improvements at our ground, like wise Pollok which is one of my favorite away days, Talbot as much as I hate to admit have the best set up of any team in the league and I would think you'd struggle to find people that disagree, aye I am sure they can make improvements however at our level nothing comes close.

Hahahahahhahahahhaha youre an absolute seething mess, honestly please never change.

Could also stop allowing teams at this level to groundshare, that way fixtures are more straight forward. We had a free week a few weeks back due to a ground sharing issue, think it was possibly KRR we were to play away, Bens and St Cadocs were both away that week leaving New Tinto laying empty surely some movement in fixtures was manageable to stop us losing a matchday, nothing to do with weather. For me it is ridiculous that 2/3 teams all playing out the same ground, it makes fixture planning more difficult and also it detracts from the league appeal.

I mean playing on new tinto away to Benburb is bad enough never mind adding St Cadocs playing out of there too, hands down the worst ground at this level there is literally a large square in the middle of it a completely different material and length than the rest of the pitch.

You fucked the lowland league playoffs by letting your team go on a stag do, we could all do with a bit less pontificating from you on unprofessional clubs etc.

Engage with local schools or try Friday night kick offs to attract old firm fans who would attend if they were free. There is nothing in the local area about pollok and you would have no idea on a match day when a game is on. Different to other local old junior teams

So engage old firm fans with friday night kick offs and to hell with the hundreds who follow clubs all year round on a saturday?

Yes apparently had the staff come and tell her all the gossip going on about Balmoral etc.
