Everyone at the Thorn friendly the night before (11/7) knew he’d been signed.

Also when called out on afterwards, Brian said it wasn’t even announced on the 12th but the 13th! Why lie?

Regardless, even if it was not done on purpose (I believe it was and I’ve heard from a current and ex player that it was) it was clumsy and careless, because like it or not it has been viewed that way and as a result, the club are finished to a lot in the town.

The gaslighting and misrepresentation of those who challenged it, via that abomination of a statement and subsequently on social media has been an utter disgrace.

I heard about Lafferty to Burgh about 2 weeks before the announcement, it was actually a running joke with another lad i know who ran a podcast that ‘surely theyre not waiting for the 12th to announce it’.
It absolutely was intentional, any revisionist nonsense suggesting it wasnt is a desperate attempt to try and appeal to the people who were disgusted by it. My wee boy is getting involved in Football in the area and it absolutely cemented that Burghs youth teams wouldnt even be considered.

  2. Dont think Laird gets the credit he deserves, $22,000,000 career earnings, 4 pga tour wins, guy just grinds away and earns good money quietly going about his business. I think he’d have more wins on the DP world but obviously seems to have it dialled in on the pga tour. There must be worse ways to make a living?

    Watching the left eat itself?

Thats what’s slowly happening all over the world, the left has disappeared up its arse with in fighting and the right wing is lapping it up and doing what they can to step ever further right because the opposition has destroyed itself.

You should have read my post again before you started name calling, what was it again, oh that's right - thicko 🤣

Is it just from your team that you support that people on here are not too bright or jump madly to reply to any post or person they don't like or just to back their pal up even when the other guy is right, well look at the ones who have liked your post 🤣

    Lets check it out
Do you really think Talbot would sanction such an idea ?
FFS don't be silly, No I do not and I fecking hope not

The fans don't want to boycott the game as they want to follow there team, but they want to hit Gall in the pocket.
I would expect any fans to follow their team no matter what, through thick and thin.
It's embarrassing if you think your hitting Gall in the pocket

Keep your ffs"s and new low talk about the 100 concession tickets we have been allocated.
It doesn't sound as if Darvel or maybe Gall are playing the game, well we do know Gall has a hatred for all things Talbot and do we think they would do the same to any other team at the same stage, I doubt it.

Also 2 portaloos for 900 Fans they would shit themselves anyway due to the queue.
    Yeah that's not much

For the record I won't be buying anything off them anytime soon.
There's nothing wrong with boycotting a team if their actions are inexcusable, don't think anyone is in denial about that regarding this current situation.
BUT along with the two twisted keyboard warriors, (who have liked your previous post) who don't like anyone that doesn't fit into their narrative, you have not said if you condone the Talbot supporters website publishing facial Pictures on their website of someone who buys anything from Darvel, (allegedly).  P.s. neither did the other two.
Again, as I said before, there's nothing wrong with boycotting a team but imagine being part of a team where there a supporters website of your team publishing some poor old man for buying some merch and condoning him, common, if true, you should be calling them out

Far be it for me to ‘defend’ talbot but theres plenty places football or not football related that i wouldnt spend my money. They’re rightly quite angry at the ticketing nonsense/rip off ahead of a big game for them/junior football fans. Youre being hysterical about one lone suggestion of naming and shaming and failing to see that its not happening.

  5. Does bob not have an agent? For a guy trying to compete in America he’s really fucking over his potential sponsorship value considering how touchy the yanks get about anything which challenges their superiority complex. Dont get me wrong, im all in defending bob in comments elsewhere but cant help feel its daft here amongst the p&b boab faithful.

Balfron is about half an hour drive and is a better course. I'll do this year at Dumbarton and see how I feel in the winter. I barely played last year but ideally want to be out once or twice a week this year.

Come to the Carrick, no mats all year, full greens and rarely closed.

Well if you didn't see it, the response from @Kennie who seems to be on the SJFA committee said that Darvel can organise the sale of tickets how they want as it's their ground. Comforting.

Yeh on the whole i mean i couldnt care less, im just wondering if it comes to selling out 100 tickets who do they decide has to pay more?

Dont know about the legality but its obviously not fair. Wonder how it would go down if Talbot returned the favour in the 1st leg. 100 concessions for away fans only, then everybody full price after that.

No im genuinely wondering if that breaks age discrimination laws? Im not too clued up on consumer law but looking at the theory behind age discrimination laws then surely it is?

We currently have a situation in my wife’s family where an elderly person is suffering from dementia but the process of getting them into a care home is being strung out partly because some of the people who have POA benefit from them not going in.

Genuinely surprising to see people behave like this over a little bit of money. You’d think people would want the best for their family when they are ill but apparently not.

Pretty sure that can be contested, ie a doctor/social work assessment saying its in their best interests overrides the profiteering arses.
I’ve seen people rip their families apart over these inheritance things, my old man has been ill all my life, genuinely all i want is for him to go on as long as he can because no amount of money would comfort me from his loss, my best mate, my wee boys best mate, cant imagine life without him. Its just my brother and I, im relatively comfortable, so probably just put the money away for the grandkids. Its more the sentimental things id like to have in the house. The wifes parents well the genetics mean the dragon beast will likely live on to an old age so there probably wont be anything, again, it doesnt really matter? If theres something for my wee boy great, but we’d rather they all just spent their money and had comfortable retirements. My mum worked her backside off for us and i try to explain to her that we’d rather she just enjoyed a really good retirement than try and leave stuff that no ones asking for.

When my girlfriend was about 8 years old she was at Buck House with the Brownies. She kept telling one of the leaders she was desperate for a pee, but was told to wait. In the end she just pulled her knickers down & peed in the street. She says next thing was some big guy in a hairy hat pointing a gun at her and screaming in her face. Fair play to the surrounding crowd they all told him she was only a wee girl & to f**k off. No one was allowed to talk to her on the whole bus journey home. Her mum was beeling but her dad said he was never so proud.

    Is her dad Michael Fagan?

In fairness to Soapy FFC, I don't know the names of the kids either.  One is called George and one is called Charlotte (?), the other escapes me.

Think the other one is Zippy?

I've said for years that for a sizeable and politically lazy percentage of the electorate, and especially the Scottish one, that simple word 'Labour' translates into voting levels unwarranted by the contemporary party's policies.

Simply not being the Tories doesn't cut it.

Thing is, the snp have disappeared up their own arse, labour are tory lite, the landscape is there for an actual left of centre party to make ground. I genuinely worry about what kind of world my wee boy will inherit because things are just going backwards.

Looks like I'm heading back to NYC in March as part of a trip for my other half's mum's 70th (who's never been to the States before, nor has her son and his partner who'll also be in attendance).  Thing is, my other half and I were there for a week just 5 years ago where we did the typical tourist stuff (TotR, CP, MSG, SoL, NHM etc over 5 days.

Any recommendations for 'alternative' things of non-ill-repute to pop off and do on occasion to save me simply reliving my previous stereotypical tourist visit for the entire trip?  Somewhat selfish perhaps considering the trip is ultimately a treat for somebody else, but my fear is that simply doing the same box-ticking exercise again would largely be more than a bit of a waste.  Hopefully I'd be forgiven for the occasional "you lot head up to the TotR & other places in Manhattan whilst we go to [insert lesser known place] and meet up later".

Go to Brooklyn. Given its yer MIL’s first time in the states let her go do a wee spree in Macy’s? Look at some of the pizza tours (i mean if you like pizza). Some of the tv shows and rehearsals give out free tickets and can be a good laugh. Do the staten island ferry, what about a Yankees or Mets game depending on the date, new york sports fans tend to be glory hunters so plenty tickets when they arent on a run.

  13. Its a labour party in name only, they are beholden to business leaders and academics who obsess over things that people struggling to keep the lights on dont care about. Labour has shifted economically to the right and become irrelevant in many other areas.

I am not sure where the claim that Auchinleck wouldn’t want to get promoted to the Lowland league comes from as I am sure they would go for it given the chance?

Not the people who run Talbot, but fans (however im sure there will be plenty that do fancy going up) on here talking about how they’d want them to throw the play off and the like. Have seen plenty fans from other clubs post about not fancying going up too.
