  1. There can't be many other teams unbeaten in the league in Europe now? Any ideas?
  2. Yes my brother and I drove there a month ago and it was all gone. Felt old
  3. My grannie was at Haugh Gardens in Langlees for some years. In the end we paid the ransom and got her back.
  4. We had a saying in Polmont (FK2 by the way). Red sky at night sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, it's bloody Grangemouth again.
  5. My brother and I attended a home game about 6 weeks ago or so (I'm getting old I can't remember which one). I have a season ticket for KM and he does not. There were big queues to get in and by the time we got to the turnstile he was turned away as they were "sold out". He had to go the the main stand. Looking at the highlights you could see there were easily a couple of hundred empty seats in the KM. There should be some way us season ticket holders can tell the club they can't come so they can sell the seat for cash and make more money.
  6. Just watched the Hamilton highlights as filmed by Annan. Cameraman so excited at the end he drops the camera Loud "Rankin" out shouts. Can't see him lasting the weekend. Hamilton "pitch" looks like one of those magic eye pictures. How did it get in that state? My eyes hurt. Eeek.
  7. I've got nothing to say, I just wanted this comment on the 10,001 page Enjoyed my time here, a great source of Falkirk news.
  8. Happy with that statement from the club. Necessary and word perfect.
  9. I'm sick of this tribalism loyalty crap. Any criticism of any part of our club and people jump on denying what's right in front of their face because of cognitive bias. No-one is saying all of the singing section were involved in the violence last night. But a small number of them were. No-one is saying disband the lot. They are an asset to Falkirk and have made a noticeable difference this season. The ones that were involved need to be identified and banned. There should be no place for potential dangerous actions as witnessed last night. I've seen comments defending the behaviour as "passionate" or "they're just excited laddies" and "I've seen a lot worse in the 70's". It's not the 70's anymore - I was there then, it was shit. I am a old female fan and I want to feel safe coming along by myself. Those scenes frightened me.
  10. Sometimes it not easy to know if a player had a bad game or the opposition just didn't allow him to play his usual game. Hogarth played well, so did Morisson. Hendo, Lang, McCann, Miller and MacIver were well below par. It is what it is I don't feel as bad as I usually do when we get beat, because, for a change, we have nothing to complain about, the best team won.
  11. I get that any slight criticism of us or positive comments about the opposition and you get the usual "we are the best and everyone else is shite" brigade pilling on you regardless of the evidence before everyone's eyes. They were better than us, better organised, they didn't allow us to play our usual style and when we did have chances we didn't take them. That second half was a master class on how to stop Falkirk playing. That is a fair summary of the night. When we go up we can expect more games like that next year. We have been great overall this year, but a major factor in that is most of the opposition have been very poor. Another night we could have won that, it just didn't happen. Maybe a gentle wake up call tonight. We still have a long way to go. On now to winning the league. COYB
  12. They are a step up from our league. MacIver on holiday, Morriston (as the Gaelic commentator keeps saying) classy but no cigar. Fingers crossed shooting towards the KM stand will make a difference.
  13. Sorry I'm getting old, yes it won't apply to non league games. I will go and take my pills and lay down for a bit.
  14. I can't see it in the schedules, is our game live on terrestial telly?
  15. Can I go to bed now? No delayed announcements?
  16. Be gutted to see Morrison go. He is reponsible for a large percentage of our chances either scoring himself or laying them off to another. Our shots on goal/chances per game will immediately plummet. I realise it's only a matter of time, but I hope it's at the end of the season.
  17. Tomorrow will be tense. I'll be regularly checking social media to see if someone has snatched Morrison from us at the last minute. Fingers crossed.
  18. Talking about a possible Falkirk v Raith final at Tyncastle, I have the 1957 Scottish cup semi-final programme between Falkirk and Raith at Tyncastle. I have the final programe as well of course. I think the semi programme is rarer.
  19. Just watching the hightlights. Before anyone gets at me, yes I know everyone involved are volunteers and their service is much appreciated. BUT there is something fundamentally wrong with how the video is being processed for highlights. It's truely awful. It might look ok on a tiny phone screen, but on my computer the frame rate is so low and jerky it is very uncomfortable to watch. Surely it can't just be me that is experiencing this? What is going wrong here? It's as if whole bunches of frames are being dropped every second.
  20. I have researched my family tree for many years. I have a couple of thousand of relatives and ancestors from Falkirk, Larbert and Stenhousemuir. The most common occupation for males on my tree from this area were Iron Moulders, Foundry workers, miners and labourers. That's an insight into the nature of the district, heavy industry. Look at a map of Falkirk from the mid 19th century, the town is about a third iron works. So yes, Falkirk doesn't seem well planned and can look a bit rough here and there and the high street has deteriorated, but when you take into account the history of the place, it's not so bad. A great wee town.
  21. For me a key factor in Ola not succeeding with us is he significantly underweight for a footballer. I saw him warm up before a game and his legs were painfully thin. He is easily dominated by a defender and he lacks the physical presence needed. A good bit of bulking up would make him a better player I think.
  22. I've been at several games this season with my brother who is more a casual supporter than I am and only goes 3 or 4 times a season with me. He thinks that Long is our weak link. He was impressed by just about everyone else (apart from Agyeman). He spotted Long is very poor at corners, is easly intimidated by opposing players when the corner comes in and doesn't impose himself. Having been more often than him I think I didn't see Lang's shortcomings clearly as you build up a loyalty to players and biases are built. I think my brother has a point.
