Is this idea worth consideration? Why not go for a 16 top league- play each other twice- after 30 games split 8/8- 14 further games giving 44 in total(same as England Championship). Bin the league cup and challenge cup. This suggestion would give Old Firm derbies, Edinburgh derbies, Dundee derbies, Highland derbies, Tayside derbies, Ayrshire derbies, Lanarkshire derbies- surely something to offer any TV company. You’d have full stadiums for these games rather than the embarrassment we have at the moment with third full ones on some televised games. The two at the bottom of the lower split go down. . The lower two leagues of 14 each. Play each other twice then split- 26 games. A further 12 games after split giving a total of 38. Top two in top half go up, bottom two in bottom half go down. Forget play offs which only adds to fixture problems. The split would keep the season alive for most clubs. On current standings Raith would miss out on Dundee ICT and Ayr but retain games with Falkirk East Fife and gain games with Dunfermline. Short term plenty Fife derbies. Longer term we might at least have a crack at the top league. Forfar would lose out by dropping into bottom tier but I think there are more winners than losers. Happy to have it ripped to bits.

Glad you can see the posts for what they are. Loved the wind up on your old AFTN site until I was banned for the third time. Never posted an offensive comment but loved the banter between us. Genuinely hope reconstruction keeps as together as I’ve previously said. The last few seasons have seen some great games between us and they’ll be sorely missed. ROARING BACK.

Maybe you should have come to San Starko for a win rather than the draw. The team and fans celebrated like you’d won the league that night. That said I’d be happy to see you come up with us with the reconstruction that must be inevitable after the stance of Dundee . See you at Brockville next season.

FF. Surely if it wasn’t fair for the Rovers to go up (as per King Kebab et al) it’s equally unfair for East Fife to go up in similar circumstances. Totally in favour of league reconstruction but it will be fascinating how the views of many East Fife fans on here change when their league position gives them an advantage. That said I’d be delighted with Rovers, East Fife and the Scum all in the same league. Eight derbies a season . Bring it on. ROARING BACK!!!!!

This may already have been asked on this thread but I’m not an avid viewer and can’t be arsed checking. How would the Falkirk board vote if the proposal was two go up and no relegation. This has been recommended both by the Raith chairman and John MCGlynn. I’d be seething if the one point differential were the other way around but delighted , for once, things are on our favour.

Top at end of quarter one. Top at end of quarter two. Top at end of quarter three. Top on the criteria being used by SPFL . How is it unfair? The season can’t be finished so what’s your solution?

I see all the leagues in England from the ones below the National leagues have had all results expunged. Teams like South Shields (13 points clear) and Jersey 20 points clear) won't be promoted. Opens the door for the SPFL to do likewise?

Don’t get all this doom and negativity from a lot of Rovers fans. Yes, Saturday was a disappointment but can be put down largely to the weather, poor team selection and tactics in the conditions. I’m confident John will get it all right for tonight and give us a great evening under the lights at San Starko. I was one who thought pre season that Falkirk would stroll the league but with nearly three quarters of the season gone we sit proudly at the top of the league. I’m not sure many Rovers fans would have thought that would be the situation going into tonight’s game. We gave Falkirk far to much respect in the earlier game at Starks then absolutely battered them once we realised we were better than them. Let’s get at them from the first kick of the ball and give them no rest for 90 minutes. And to all Raith fans, let’s get “right behind the Rovers”.. COYR.

Loving going back through the comments pre match from the Fife faithful. Proves they do talk some pish. And ScottyDog you missed Daniel Armstrong from your list making it seven Super John had unavailable for selection. And then we still stick five past them on their own patch. When have we done that before!!!!!!!. Scenes after the fifth remind me how good it is to follow the Rovers. Yes there’s hard times but today makes it all worthwhile. Big Liam commented on Saturday that he was pleased to see Anderson out through suspension. He and his fellow East Fife fans must be delighted to hear we have eight players out through injury and suspension. Coming to San Starko with your best team in over thirty years there surely can only be one winner.

Ian. Don’t react to frank. He’s an arse. Raith TV and the volunteers associated with them do a fantastic job and don’t deserve this sort of criticism.

Mcglynns interview appears to me to be critical of the defending. So have 1500 of us for over a year now. Do you intend doing anything about it or will we continue with the same old, same old?
