We will have some professional pride to play for and try and avenge the 6-1 next week but it's as good a fixture as Clyde can hope for at this stage. Jamieson and Wedderburn out for the season and we are off the boil in general. Add in East Fife and Elgin to come and Clyde have essentially 3 games against teams who will be playing for nothing and on their holidays. Not that I'd trust McCall much as he has no idea what his best team is surely they can muster enough against 3 teams which should be on holiday? The Bully Wee.

It felt, and played out like, a training game. DJ will be raging as we were cantering to another clean sheet before losing a really sloppy goal at the end. We dominated most of the play but just couldn't get the second goal. Euan should have killed the game really and I think he would have any other week if it really mattered but was too casual in the execution. He takes that first time and scores every other week. Kyle Jacobs and Ross Taylor were our best players on the day - Taylor in particular was the best player on the park by a distance. Scored a thumping goal on his weak foot and caused a lot of bother all afternoon resulting, as usual when he's on it, a rake of fouls and cautions against him. Jacobs might be worth another year. He's a handy player, really gives it everything and seems a good guy to have about the dressing room.

Proper lump in the throat stuff that. What a man. He did tell me at Jersey Airport in pre-season we would win it and here we are. Give the man the keys to the Wee Bar for life.

I stand by this and Bucky can now go down as the best signing in our history as well as my player of the year. Our captain and leader of this brilliant group of lads.

I'm not sure what is elusive about the win when the league is wrapped up. We have won more games than anyone else in the league - hence we won it. We also have to be looking forward to next season. Why risk our better players getting an injury in dead rubber games? These Highland hammer throwers will be chasing shadows. If Mikey Anderson gets clattered and misses the start of next season I'll be holding you solely responsible.

I'd be giving all the boys who were benched on Saturday, and haven't had much game time recently, starts on Saturday. Keeps the full squad feeling involved and the job is already done - I also expect we will beat an Elgin side on their travels without Golding anyway. We maybe want to go full strength again on trophy day but certainly for the next two games I'd be sharing the game time. Donald got a round of applause when he came in to the wee bar after the game which was lovely. The best guy, universally loved at the football club I'm so glad he got this day.

Also a big pat on the back to the media team they have been class this season and really documented the journey so well. We all have that to look back on in years to come and you can't put a price on that. Off to pastures new I belive and all the best to them.

What a day. Over the moon for all the older boys who have followed this rabble through thick and thin.

Look forward to meeting you at our ceiling again next season comrade. Absolutely shocked to my core Arbroath will be back at their natural level next season, no one could have seen that coming. It will be a privilege to be in the same league with such a big club who have all those season ticket holders and a scattering of teenagers wearing Arbroath clobber roond the toon centre. Smokies and wine baby.

You boys are in for a good old wash on Saturday at the astro end. Bring an umbrella.

I was personally howling at that seeing it on the highlights. Could see it coming a mile off. Its one of those ye greet about if yer the opposition and will take all day if he's yer own. The greet is always going to be louder with extra whine when it's a player a particular fan base despises. A brilliant professional foul followed by shithousery. He's done it a few times this season. We are a horrible gang and it's a pleasure having a captain that gets the job done by any means unnecessary. In years gone by our nice, slow centre backs (no names required) wouldn't have either had the pace or brains to take the player out in that position and we would have went on to lose a goal. The dislike for him from the Dumbarton fans is as clear as lemonade and still seeping through which has raised a chuckle again. Going back to that 4-2 dressing down Dumbarton gave us at Ochilview this season (our only league defeat where Bucky and Nicky played together btw) the lads on here and at the game were giving Bucky a fair bit and would never have foreseen how the season has panned out with him captaining the runaway leaders. It feels nice lads, it really does.

It's outrageous really and surely a record at this level? We are obviously off the boil and have been for a few games but we have to take stock of what has been achieved. 18 clean sheets in 31 games after watching Swift trying to have anything resembling a settled back line in two seasons just shows how far Gary Naysmith has taken us.

I can't make this one so hoping for Uncle Faz and his big band of dog meat to at least hold us to a draw,if not put us to the sword, to drag it out for another week when the VIP will return. I can never count on Uncle when it really matters though as we all know.
