big dips sounds like Bullen's longball philosophy "Sean, Frankie... Just look for the strikers with a big dip" -

Heard a rumour York's offer is 50k and a trip for 5 folk to Flamingo Land. The 5 spots to be given out via a lottery at the Q&A session. -

That's a fair point. It would be good to know there's a wee bit extra there in case we need it in January (which based on current look may well be possible). But the optimist* in me wants to think the club already have suitable targets identified in the case that Dipo goes and a fee received. *Optimist AuAl is usually a dafty, his opinions should not be trusted. -

Good that's it's being done now and we still have a decent time to bring players in. There's no guarantee that the entire fee goes into the playing budget, but have to hope it gives us a bit more money to play with. ^Trying to be confident. -

English fitba is mental isn't it. Teams at the arse end of the 5th tier spunking 6 figure sums on players. -

Deary me. A bright orange kit release on the 12th? Caley trying to undo all of Airdrie's hard work as the wee Gers in one go. -
I estranged myself from David Hopkin's Ayr United team. It was good for both of us in the long run.

Must have been really boring on the League 2 threads with no one daring to venture into other teams threads to 1. Embarrass themselves or 2. Wind up other posters. Welcome to the big leagues lads. -

Don't think Akinyemi was playing tonight, was he? Not surprising to hear Reading wasn't good. -

The season of no fullbacks 2.0. Bets open for the number of times an opponent is able to dance their way to the byline and cut it across. I actually am looking forward to the season, honest. I always do for a new season. Praying that the glaring issues in the squad are addressed before the start of league action (not very confident they will be, but we'll see). If they're not, then I have the fear. Given the current state of things, if we were to keep Akinyemi, I'd be a lot more confident about our prospects. That being said, both before and after the league cup last season I was confident of seeing us in a relegation battle, then look what happened. See you boys and girls in Stirling. -

Have always been very happy that Alan Forrest has gone on to have the career he has so far after leaving Ayr. He came through at one the worst times to be an Ayr supporter and was a rare bright spark in otherwise horrendous seasons for a couple of years. -

Still quite young so that kind of return isn't too bad. I wasn't at the Stranraer game though, how did he look? -

I seem to remember hearing that he was he absolutely raging before the Rangers game a number of years ago when he heard that the sky cameras wouldn't be covering him doing his sing song on the pitch. Thank f**k they didn't. Imagine the slagging the club would have got. -

f**k sake Ayr, gonnae just sign some players so we don't spend our days getting wound up at the prospect of Somerset fucking Boab. Getting quite excited for the start of the season. -

If he's busy being the stadium announcer with an actual role then he won't have the time / won't be available to stroll out to sing songs before games start. May be a blessing in disguise. Or he'll just sing his stupid wee songs over the tannoy, in which case, we riot. -

Took a walk past today. Looks like there's space behind each goal for terracing. Apologies as I'm sure it's been discussed here before, is that the plan for the ground to add to the capacity? With terracing at the ends I could see it being a really decent lower league ground.
