The most depressing part about the Rooney article is the bit where it confirms everything was put on hold for next season until the play off game. No contracts offered.

So that means, unless its wrong, we haven't got a single player signed up to add to the squad yet.

It's just awful, you can't just ignore the transfer window to focus on games, and you have to be able to sell yourself and the club to prospective players to the point they'll believe you'll stay up then push on next season so the threat of relegation doesn't put them off. And if its the club deciding he's not allowed to offer deals then they've learned absolutely f**k all and deserve everything headed their way next season.

I do not really see how the club would be in a position to offer new contracts until they knew which league we would be playing in next season..

So three days ago we were told by the club that three players were facing up to six weeks out due to injury..Two days later we are informed that two of them are in the squad to face Hearts and and the third is 50/50 Welcome news but WTF is going on here !!?? emoji28.png

Tbf, I think Davidson made reference to pulling his calf as a player and how long he took to recover. Not sure, he was aware about how serious or not the injuries were at the time.

All he had to say was that three of the players injuries would be assessed and a decision on their fitness would be made in the next few days...

    Hyper-politicised bullshit.

No, your ideological disposition infects everything with, or reduces everything to, politics.

I think what you means to say is politics is the only thing you invest in, or what you invest "meaning" in. However, political ideologies and philosophies don't begin and end with "human existence orbits the state", your ideology or philosophy does.

So, what do you want to talk about next in a thread about St Johnstone in a forum about the SPL? The validity of linguistic, social and technological determinism? Maybe the distinction between corporatism and capitalism? Perhaps you'd like to discuss contrasting epistemologies and how your investment in a particular epistemology affects St Johnstone FC?

Or, maybe this all wildly off topic and you could discuss...football. Just an idea 🙄

Does you arse ever ģet jealous of vast amount of shite that comes out of your  mouth ?....Just asking for a friend !

Disagree here. Seen zero from MacPherson that comes close to him being worth a permanent and paid for transfer.

He has been pretty average up until now but the guy definitely has something about him...I may be wrong but I do think that we will see the best of him playing with players such as Ciftci

Our wings are at their best when there's some form of interplay on them. Cleary has helped the right and Hallberg really improves it, so I'd like to see how Sang does with Hallberg in there too as he seems better on the ball than Brown.

Left side I dunno. We can't replace Wotherspoon so they needed someone who can be more individual than Booth.

Dependant on levels of fitness I would like to see MacPherson and Ciftci on together at some stage..They are both clever players and have a good touch.I reckon they would bring the best out of each other

I'd say not Murray. Vs Utd, I think the game passed him by a bit and I fear tonight would be the same. I think it will be the Butterfield, Crawford, McPherson combo you mentioned. It's less them being light that worries me, it's that they are all a bit slow on the ball and St Mirren will be right on top of them. CD will be able to see in McPherson whether playing his former team will bring more put in him or be a hindering factor.

St Mirren will be our hardest hame post Kelty, so players will need to be up for it.

I am not expecting many to agree with this but I would start with Middleton on the right of the midfield three with Butterfield centre and MacPherson on the left. Middleton gives us more energy and Macpherson is a far better player than Crawford with something to prove against The Fuddies.
