  1. Would have taken the draw pre-match but hacked off that we never took all three. Our penalty success is woeful this season. Having said all that, the draw was probably the correct result and credit to both teams for putting on a match in horrendous conditions.
  2. Pretty sure that most agree that a draw was a fair result. A couple of incidents in the game. Falkirk hit the post in the first couple of minutes. It was a glaring miss and looked harder to miss. Then what about Webbies attempt that rattled off the post. Inches away from a worldie.
  3. That referee has bought every dive and trick that these cvnts have played.
  4. Horrendous defending and a coo going down for the night.
  5. Horrendous defending and a coo going down for the night.
  6. As said, thought we deserved a draw. Annoying to lose the goal in stoppage time when down to 10 men. Looked like a well rehearsed move from the corner leading to the goal. The ref never done us much favours either.
  7. We were lucky to get anything out of that game. Annan were the better team from start to finish. We could have been 3 or 4 down by half time. Bit better in the second half and after we scored, we got a wee bit better but, had we sneaked, it would have been robbery.
  8. We have a pretty healthy squad just now with the young loanees bedding in and making their mark. Goals coming from all areas. Confident for a home win. 2-0 to the Mo.
  9. Are your media team embarrassed to release footage of the game. YouTube video is private. Anyone able to share it?
  10. Well beaten tonight. We never looked like scoring Accies looked like a well tuned unit and thoroughly deserved the three points. Best team I've seen this season. Anything we might have picked up would have been a bonus. A couple of winnable games coming up to keep us in the playoff mix. Dust down and move on.
  11. Certainly looks like we got away with one with Gardynes handball. Dillon one would have been harsh and Sammon was backing into the defender. Any comment on the clear shove on Lyons ??
  12. Certainly not one for the purists. Alloa were the better team in the first half and we were fortunate to go in ahead at the break. More even second half ut satisfying to nick one at the end after losing one last week. Big Kerr was a rock in defence but thought Gardyne ran the show. He was the only one putting his foot on the ball and trying to play a bit. Nice to get a scrappy win over our bogey team.
  13. "Done pretty well" is the under statement of the season. We can't buy a win against you lot. However, after a dismal start to the season, we are now putting some decent performances together. (Coincide with the departure of a certain No. 9 ???) Painfully unlucky not to get a draw last week but, we are now playing with a lot of belief. We missed the flair of Miller Thomson last week so hopefully he is back for Saturday. Good to see the guys that have been missing through injury coming back into the mix. Optimistic prediction that we beat our bogey team. 3-1 home win.
  14. Ball Boys were removed at our end. Thought our pen was well outside the box but having watched the highlights, looks like correct decision. Williamson has taken a bit of stick from our fans but he is improving the more he plays. He had a decent game yesterday. And finally, as much as it still hurts, that was some strike worthy of winning any game. Expected the worst yesterday and thought we were in for a thumping. Glad we put up a real fight and were just a Worldie away from a hard earned point.
  15. Be careful what you say. Falkirk have been saying this for five years. They are an established seaside league team now.
  16. Think we can agree that the referee made some bizarre decisions during the game.
  17. That was a horrendous challenge and could easily have been a red. As others have said, I thought Steeves (No. 3) was off.
  18. From a Montrose perspective, gutted. Just a worldie stopped us from getting a well deserved point. Falkirk penalty looked very debatable but I was the length of the pitch away. Our penalty was a yard outside the box. However, had it been given as a free kick, you keeper would of been sent off. Time wasting. Quite surprised our keeper wasn't warned by the ref near the end. But, what's the thoughts on the time wasting by the Falkirk goalkeepers antics when you were 2-1 up? Oh, and the disappearance of the ball boys only for them to reappear at 2-2. At the end of the day, we get nothing for our efforts but if we keep up the hard work like that, we'll be in the mix for a play off spot. Take it on the chin and move on to next week.
  19. Amazingly, we could be up to third in the league if we win tomorrow. After our first few games this season, I was convinced that we would be in a relegation battle. However, recent results and performances have me slightly more optimistic. I assume that SP will start with the same team that started last week and they can put in the same level of performance. Youth and speed up front with Gardyne pulling the strings. I'll go for a nervy 2-1 home win and an unexpected third spot in the league.
  20. We have a few injuries in defence. Not sure how they coped during the week but Andy Steeves and Dillon both went off last week with injuries and Kerr Waddle is a long termer. We have had a terrible stert to the season and our problem seems to be our midfield. They are very defensive and we don't have a playmaker who can control the middle of the field. We have potentially the best strike force in the league in McAllister and Hester but we don't have the supply that they need. I ferar the worst, 3-1 Accies.
  21. A bit desparate pinning our hopes on loan signings. We've been lucky with recent loanees in Cammy F and the young lads from Ross County but these guys come to learn from the older pros, not save a team from a perilous place. We've been lucky over the last few years, since promotion, that we've had some great seasons and in all honesty, punched above our weight. The backbone of the title winning team is still there. However, age is catching up om them. We look much better when 40 year old Dillo is in the team but, he's not going to go on for ever. Unless we get some real gems in the loan market, we are in for a long slog this season - fingers crosse.
  22. Would bite your hand off for a mid-table drudge right now.
  23. Cove won't get an easier game all season. We are going to struggle all season. Positives? Annan and Edinburgh got beat.
