  1. Will there be any highlights from last night? Or should I say were there any highlights last night?
  2. Very comfortable win for the Mo tonight. Thought East Fife were very poor. Was expecting a tougher game. Strangely the corner count was 0-8 in EF favour. Happy that corners count for nowt though.
  3. All the possession in the second half but created very little. I've said it a few times but we are never going to be serious contenders in this league until we get a proven goalscorer. A point a piece was probably the fair result today. Big Kerr Waddell desrved his MOM. Goodwillie never had a look in and he usually has a field day against us.
  4. Going by the vibes in this thread, it's not worth us turning up. Just give us the three points !! Unfortunately it wont be that easy. As well as we have played in the past, we just don't seem to get the breaks against you lot. I would grab a point now if offered it.
  5. After last seasons washout at Bonnyrigg, I hope that SP takes the cup seriously. A good run could bring in some much needed revenue. A good draw might even see us on TV.
  6. Better start a post on this one as it has been brought forward from Boxing Day. Big game for both teams. Montrose can get to within a point of the top of the table with a win. Peterhead would get to within a point of Montrose with a win. Both teams have had a couple of great results recently and I can see a very close game. Recent games between the teams at Links Park have been high scoring affairs where as at Balmoor they've been close low scoring matches. Hopefully the Mo can nick this one with Big Rusty bagging the winner against his former employers.
  7. Every time a managerial post becomes available i fear that we'll lose SP. He's done an amazing job at Links Park and deserves a crack at a big full time club. Quite glad that the call has never come though.
  8. Very professional display. Defence mopped up everything that Dumbarton tried and not to rub it in, it wasn't much. Doubt if Fleming has had an easier game this season. Great to see Rusty on the score sheet again.
  9. Same again please Mo. Early strike to finish it off.
  10. Looks like the Dumbarton defence is on the same wavelength as the camera - static.
  11. Should also be noted that we are second top scorers. Goals has always been our problem recently but big Rusty seems to have found his feet. He has had his critics in the last couple of seasons, none more so than me but he is scoring regularly now and I really hope he can carry on and win the punters over. I'll go for a 2-1 home win with Rusty keeping his run going.
  12. Thought we pretty much bossed the game apart from two defensive howlers and possibly the first five and last five minutes (which no one saw) Although he has his critics (I admit, me included) great to see Rusty getting a couple of goals and hopefully it will boost his confidence and he can kick on from here. Still, a very decent start to the season.
  13. Gutted to come away with nothing from the game. Much the same as last season where we ran Falkirk very close in every game yet no reward. We looked the team more likely to score until the penalty. No arguments with the penalty decision - stone waller.
  14. The Mighty Mo will be in the same kit as last season. Just to pit them against the rest, here's a reminder. The black third kit is a cracker.
  15. I wouldn't get overly excited about the fanzone. It's a portacabin. There's a diner type boozer near by (the Wellington) but it's not much of a boozer. There's very little else in the vacinity of the ground. Best to stay in the City centre before heading out to the ground.
  16. He had a really good year with us. A vital part of our impressive season. You also have a great prospect in Blair Lyons.
  17. Is your comma button stuck ? P.S Welcome to the seaside leagues
  18. Just a footnote to say That Graham Webster won Player of the year, Players player of the year and directors player of the year. Blair Lyons won young POTY and Andy Steeves won members POTY. Better not blow his trumpet too much though. He might be singled out next season (if next season ever comes)
  19. Good to see Andy Steeves getting a mention. We are lucky to have two great full backs at Montrose but for me, Steeves is the pick of the pair. Blair Lyons also getting all the plaudits and well deserved but our best performer (in my humble opinion) has been Graham Webster. 9 goals and 10 assists has been a great return for us and he has been consistantly good all season. He might just sneak our POTY ahead of Blair. He certainly got my vote.
  20. A possible way to up the earnings from a live transmission would be to sell the match to away fans on a one off basis. I can't see it happening though. In our case, the Mo wouldn't have the fan base to make it viable.
  21. Will need a couple of loan signings on top of what we already have. Cammy F and Big Sena done ok for us last season so a couple like them would be ideal.
  22. Uncanny resemblance to last season. Us pipping EF into 4th place and QOS in play off place in championship. Just hope for a better outcome if it happens again.
