Sure, but the argument is obviously that without playing them we'll never find out if they're good enough. Who knows what would have happened with McKenna if Arnason, O'Connor and Reynolds hadn't underperformed last season. I certainly don't think McInnes started the season thinking he was going to build the defence around him.

Exactly this. McKenna was thrown in out of necessity, rather than choice.

During his tenure, McInnes has brought through McKenna. That’s it.

    Meanwhile, he has signed -

Calvin Zola, Callum Morris, Alan Tate, Chidi Nwakali, Joeseph Parker, Nicky Maynard, Miles Storey, Adam Collin, Joe Nuttall, Donervon Daniels, Andrew Driver and David Goodwillie.

    A horrific waste of jerseys/money.

To counter, I will add that the signings of -

Logan, Rooney,  McLean, Shinnie,  Lewis, Church,  Stockley, Christie, Stewart, GMS

    - were good ones and improved the team/squad.

Surely, surely there’s at least one more of our youth players that could fit into our team. Surely.

  2. McInnes needs to actually promote some youth players. How can they ever be good enough (unless exceptionally naturally gifted) if not given decent game time?

We really lack behind most other clubs.

His signings over the course of his tenure, have on the most part been poor. If he cannot judge a player from outside our club, who’s to say he’s not missing ones on the inside?

The **** are dishing out £3m on single players, yet still give kids regular game time.

You feel with McInnes, that the only reason we have kids on the bench is to fill the required quotas from the SPFL.

The treatment of Scott Wright is something we should be concerned about also. Looked one of our best players when played last season, then frozen out.

  3. Sad to see you go, even more so when you're being replaced by a shite club with no fans. Livi might be a good story, but they'll add f**k all to the league next season.

Tony Macaroni Stadium says it all FFS. Absolute tinpot club.

Would Partick really gain anything by punting Archibald at this stage? I'd have understood if it happened a few months ago to try and stop a slide into the playoffs, but he will get you out of the Championship. The guy seems to genuinely care, and  going down will allow you to cut some of the absolute dross from your squad.

Miles Storey is a fraud of a player, living off a good 6 months at ICT. Connor Sammon is fucking woeful also, what a sharp decline his career has taken.

Enjoy visiting some different grounds and pumping Dundee Utd, and we'll see you in a year's time.

Can you please stop posting screenshots of posts from Rangers Media with offensive / sectarian terms. We know they're a bunch of cretins... if people want to read that shite, they can go and read it themselves.

Feel free to scroll past if you don't like them, but i'd rather see that stuff in excerpts on here than spend time actually on that site with those reptiles.

Surely people that high up in the club have zero effect on the team? In a league who's main sponsor is a bookie, They're banned from betting on any football, not just Scottish? Absolutely absurd.

Teams can dodge millions in tax through EBT's, paying players and staff that they can't afford and not be punished, yet someone (a multi-millionaire) with no influence on team affairs places a couple of bets and gets dragged over the coals? Think the SFA need to develop some common sense.

From an outsider looking in, watching Saturday's highlights showed that your players are definitely still playing for your manager.

It may have been a big game, but in those conditions and on that pitch, luck is always going to come into it and with the goals you conceded, it was pretty clear that the luck went in Killie's favour!

Had you been a bit more fortunate with your chances, the result would've been a fair bit different!

Keep your heads up, and don't go down. Please. I'd much rather see the back of Killie or Hamilton, who have both been stinking up the league for years, regardless of how many fannies think Steve Clarke is the messiah. Get those plastic pitches to f**k.

Delighted to have called it. Mon Thistle!

Hay, maybe AFC have been shite all season because the rumbles of Ibrokes departure preceded even the Sunderland job "aye, Derek, knock back that Sunderland job, by ra way big man wee man cuz Pedro's gunnae get the Spanish archer early doors man by ra way. gaun yersel" (sorry can't do accents but if you read these words in a nasal weegie whine you'll get the gist)

I get that there have been plenty zoomers on here previously claiming to be in the know, etc, but i am genuinely good friends with a member of the board and talk to him regularly. The view of the directors is that McInnes is content at Pittodrie, and whilst managing Rangers might be a career ambition for him, he has no interest in joining them in their current state. He is said to be quite pissed off at the way Rangers have conducted themselves and the media over the past few weeks also.

  10. Source says that they asked for permission to speak to McInnes but AFC not allowing any talks without compensation being agreed prior, and the belief is that Rangers cannot afford the compensation. Source says that the only way the move will happen is if DM resigns, but also says DM is genuinely upset at the events of the past couple of weeks and cannot see it happening.
