  1. I think we all take for granted how lucky we are to live here. Nice, peaceful city and you're only ever 10 mins away from what feels like endless green countryside.
  2. I'm still not convinced that Ash Taylor isn't one of Lee Nelson's alter-egos.
  3. Was last week not his first ever first team game?! He'd only ever played for b-teams
  4. After seeing him linked the other day I went and read up on him. He could be ace or could turn out to be another Maynard. We still need to take in another two or three, the squad is still very bare. Our annual injury crisis will cost us if we don't add more depth.
  5. Get off the wage bill? I'd be stunned if he's even on as much as £2k/wk. He's still young with tonnes of potential, and if you think we can get a better player than him for that sort of money i'll have some of whatever you're on.
  6. Disagree, he had a good game on Thursday. Doesn't look out of place in the team at all but he could definitely use a run of games to sharpen him up.
  7. “We’re not going to do it, it’s not for us,” Heckingbottom said. “We don’t want to do it. We made a really good offer but it’s not just about that. We have to sign players who want to come here for the right reasons. We want the dressing room to be unbelievable and make sure we’ve got players coming in want to be here. We have to share the same values. “I thought the deal was done in May but there was a clause in his contract that didn’t allow it to happen. The next thing we know is Scunthorpe have accepted a bid from Aberdeen so we matched it and then within the negotiations things began to change for us. We saw the red lights. "It’s up to us what we do so good luck to him. The circumstances were totally different second time round so you see things differently. We have to be really careful who we bring into this football club.” Heads gone.
  8. Thought Santos deserved at least a draw. Excellent performance and he is destined for success. Jones performance could suggest that we are maybe seeing the beginning of the end for him. That was probably his worst performance to date. A rematch would be good but White pretty much ruled it out. Nunes is incredible. Glad to see Rockhold get chinned, that guy is a w****r. Askren going for a double-leg so quickly from that distance was careless. Despite the fight only being 5 seconds officially, Askren gave Masvidal the time needed to counter and blend his face with his knee. Hard to see where Askren goes from here.
  9. Their fans tend to be complete c*nts, bitter about their club contributing f**k all to the league. The majority of them spend more time on this thread than their own.
  10. Wilson has just become our highest paid player. I thought he looked slow and disinterested for a fair bit of last season with occasional moments of brilliance. There were several games last season that he spent the majority of his time on the pitch walking about with no apparent desire to get involved in the play. He has taken a massive wage drop to come here but his bonuses will be significant and I hope we see the Wilson we saw against Hamilton and Livingston to justify the money. Folk are too blinded by May's lack of goals that they fail to see his contribution to the team. Again, he's barely had a chance in his proper position and for that I think he's been hard done by. I can't think of an occasion where he has given less than 100%. Goals or not, he leaves everything on the pitch. The thought of May going to either of the Edinburgh teams is a frightening one, but i've been told his move back to Perth is imminent.
  11. Stevie May has been told he is free to find another club. We're willing to write off the remaining two years of his contract and he's expected to end up back in Perth. Genuinely sad to see him leave, McInnes has done him no favours. Coming back from those injuries was always going to be a tough task, but for him to then come here and be played in pretty much every other role than the one he was most successful in - up top with a striker who creates space for him - is extremely frustrating. Whilst he didn't get as many goals as we'd all have hoped, absolutely nobody can doubt his workrate. He gives 110% every week, would've loved to have seen him given a proper run in his natural position. If he can regain his confidence, he'd be an asset to any team in this league (bar the ****).
  12. https://www.afc.co.uk/2019/07/03/james-completes-permanent-move/ Confirmed on Two year deal. Hope he bangs them in next season.
  13. His last post on Twitter was bad, but the last thing he "liked" is even worse -
  14. We may have said he was a fanny, but by all accounts he seems to be very widely regarded as a good c**t. Unbelievably sad situation and I really feel for the guys at ICW. They really are a family. Hopefully he is a peace now from whatever was troubling him, poor bugger. RIP Lionheart.
  15. Have you watched any games over the last five years?! We've played two up front on about two occasions. May will be going nowhere, more likely that Cosgrove will be off if one of them is to leave. Other team's fans are laughing at us. Hedges looks like a decent signing but if Taylor and Main are a reflection of our ambition then we're in trouble.
  16. Can't wait for the hoofball we're going to play next season, the criticism the club is getting is well fucking deserved.
  17. One of the least inspiring signings that McInnes has and could have made. He was a bombscare in his first spell, made several mistakes that cost us goals and clearly unsettled the team when he played. He left us thinking he was a level above us and went on to be relegated from League One then nearly getting relegated from League two before having his contract cancelled due to form and attitude. 88% of surveyed Northampton fans said it was the right decision to terminate his contract. This post on a Northampton forum speaks volumes. http://www.smfserver.com/forums/thehotelend/index.php?topic=18417.0 The deal was finished a couple weeks back and they've obviously tried to lessen the blowback by announcing Hedges on the same day, but if this is the level of ambition we're going to show then we'd be as well call it a day. Really hope it doesn't have an affect on season ticket sales, there is a £600k difference between finishing second and fourth so we can't really afford to lose any fans. If McInnes doesn't get a few more bodies in before the Europa qualifiers, he/we could be in serious trouble before the season even starts.
  18. I've been told that the deal has been finalised and the delay in announcement is to try and bury any backlash amongst the noise of the cup final and us qualifying for Europe.
  19. Taylor signing will be announced during the Scottish Cup Final at the weekend, two year deal.
  20. I think you guys could do worse than take Danny Rogers on loan from us next season. Undoubtably has ability, will never get a chance at Aberdeen and next season is almost like last chance saloon for him career wise. Would like to see him go and do well
  21. When an Accies player scores a Van Basten against you, you'd be as well call it a day.
  22. Enjoy the Championship. Looking forward to you getting raped by Arbroath next season.
