  1. It is work in progress and you cannot deny that we are now more competitive than we were earlier in the season. I agree about the "fannying" (what does that actually mean) about too much at the back, but in that game against Elgin, they made it very difficult to get through them after the sending off and in hindsight, the long ball launched into their box would probably have been the better option in the 1st half. BUT, after they scored, they looked for the winner and their defence was not so solid as a result, what happened? We started to get through them still playing football, not long balls, and forced the penalty to win the game. You said we were bullied by Dumbarton, but so did Bonnyrigg at Bayview and we gave them a good gubbing at Bonnyrigg! If you can't see any progress, then you are blinkered.
  2. On the break was a long ball launched from deep inside their own half. Very little football from them apart from the free kick in the first half which was well worked and probably deserved a goal. Otherwise, they got their just desserts, with their brutal tackling and their desperate attempts to con the referee with their squealing as if someone was trying to kill them any time they were tackled. As said earlier - pathetic and embarrassing!
  3. Probable reason he didn't want to go into the championship was because he thought Arbroath would have been cannon fodder! Whatever the reason, I bet he regrets that he didn't stay with you?
  4. Are ye deef?? Cannae hear the other end?? Definitely deef!
  5. Darren Young Pens New Contract at East Fife East Fife FC are delighted to confirm that manager Darren Young has extended his contract until the summer of 2023. We are sure that this will continue the stability within the first team set up. Darren already has begun his planning for next season and we hope to be able to announce our first new signings of the summer within the next few days. Darren Young commented: “'I am delighted to have agreed a two-year extension to my contract and I am already excited about what next season will bring for us. “I feel that we have had progress year on year since I came to the club and this season, we were within two goals of securing a top 5 finish and ultimately finished 5 points off second spot in the league.” “Every year League One has been more difficult than the year before and the forthcoming season will be just the same with some ambitious & experienced clubs joining us. We will however, be well prepared for the challenges ahead with the pre-season training starting in just 4 very short weeks.”
  6. On the bright side, Broadwood is an easier stadium to visit.
  7. If the game has been postponed, that means it will be played at a later date.
  8. A moment of anger at the reply to my previous post. What has this got to do with Jesus? Also, a tip for you, short and sharp is often better than long-winded drawn out, self-serving pish.
  9. Just remember, these tests are only telling you that you have not got the virus at the time it was taken, just like an MOT on a car. Out of interest, what do the FT players do with their time after their couple of hours training each day?
  10. Why not? But it is okay for League 1, 2 and below to have to wait 3 weeks minimum just now before they play again and has been suggested to play 2 games a week for the rest of the season. Your comment is pure arrogance.
  11. Concession for older supporters starts at age 60 with East Fife and 65 with Falkirk.
  12. Been there, done that, already have won a Scottish cup and 3 x League cups! What have your team won? (penalty shoot outs don't count).
  13. How come your team is only in League 1 then, having a multi-millionaire owner??
  14. That is not a good idea with different clubs having differing costs, different sponsorships etc. A pound here or there is nothing in the big scheme of things, but as I said, the various clubs need to be free to set their own charges to suit the way their clubs operate. It has worked for the past 100+ years.
  15. Also, when was the last time Raith have played anywhere with a crowd of over 100,000?
