If we're being overrun, suggests we don't have the right players. Still doesn't answer the question of scoring more goals.
-
A lot of you guys on here should be managers _ you all seem to know the answers. (4.5.1 -4.3.2). Yes we were totally outplayed last night by a better team. Pack the defence and let them get in each others road. I thought the answer to winning games was to score more goals than the opposition.
-
Don't think a left back would have made much difference.
-
Wrong choice of words, didn't mean I was actually shouting,
-
Just shows you how we all have different views. I was shouting for Bitsindou to get taken off. How often did he just head the ball in the air and pass to the opposition.
-
Well thank god that's over. However a big improvement on recent performances, at least we had an attacking lineup. What a performance by Bobby.
-
Agree with you, not much in it. Only difference we can't score goals. There again we are never set up to score, defence our priority.
-
We're safe from automatic relegation, but a point doesn't keep us out of the playoffs.
-
Great! We can't score goals and we sign another bloody midfielder. Doesn't he know you can't win games if you don't score goals.
-
If wind doesn't die down, the game will be a farce. Possibility of being abandoned. You can tell I always look on the bright side of life.
-
Great display today. No weak link. If I have to have one complaint, would love to see us play with a wide man.

Arbroath 🟣⚪️🎣🎣Vs Partick Thistle 🔴🟡

Don't worry we never play with a right winger(or indeed any sign of being attack minded) so your left back can have the day off. -
Well maybe we should be concentrating on scoring more goals than them.
-
For god's sake how many do we need in defence. I can remember when 5 was enough.

Arbroath vs Raith, 4-2-23
Old Timer replied to TxRover's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
While the result was disappointing, what really pis s me off, is that I am sick and tired of watching football that is played on one side of the pitch, when the game is crying out for wide men to open up the play. When will we ever learn!! -
Big improvement in the second half, with the substitutes. Allen a luxury we can't afford. Oakley tremendous. Will we never try a shot from distance?

Red Litchies vs Toonsers

It's been said before but why take off Linn and replace him with Corfe who has shown nothing whenever he has been on. We sat back and tried to hang on instead of going for another goal. But my biggest frustration is their is never anyone on the right wing. Let's have a winger please. -
Arbroath Vs Hamilton

Well didn't take a lot of positives from that today other than Bobby's goal (man of the match for me) and the fact that we won. Gold before Allen for me any day, and Corfe would'nt even be on the bench. -
Don't make many posts- but last night was a shocker. 1 shot on goal with the wind behind us, and when will we ever play someone on the right wing (I mean an actual winger, not your modern wing back stuff). Open up the play let's give opposition left backs something to do. Enough said.

Did not expect too much yesterday, just a case of getting match fit. However I did like the look of Shanks and Jacobs, think they will be good recruits. Shanks took his goal well and Jacobs was strong in defence. Question is, will Jacobs get any game time.
-
The fact that we never looked like scoring was only made worse by the picture freezing every 20-30 seconds. Don't know if I was the only one with this problem. switched off with around 20 mins to go.
-
Bearing in mind the F/T v P/T aspect I thought we played really well overall. As for the 3 goals, the 1st was gifted, and the other 2 should have been dealt with. Totally agree with you, today highlighted a couple of weak areas that would have to be addressed if we were to move up.

Don't make many comments on Pie, but glad to see others feel like me about Hammy. Tends to leave wingers too much room, keeps backing off expecting someone else to do the tackling. And prone to the odd push in the back, leading to a penalty.

Arbroath v Queens
Old Timer replied to Northfield 53's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Can't say I am too optimistic about the future, but time will tell. Must make more of our opportunities. As for the camera, impossible to tell what was happening near the goal or on the far side of the pitch. You have to be a real die hard to watch this.
