  1. Too many ifs and buts about this ill thought out nutty idea from G42. Weegieland. Just say it does go through and one of the Old Firm Colts was playing at a current SL2 club. Guarantee that the closet Old Firm fans who might normally might go along and support their local HFL/Lowland League/Junior teams(assumption is that they do NOT go and watch one of the OF teams in reality but they just profess to be a Tic/Ger's fan) would traipse along to the SL2 ground at the expense of the lower league teams. Worse still, they might not watch lower league teams but will still turn up and cause mayhem at the SL2 ground and sing and shout their usual sectarian bile and increased security would be a necessity if that lot turned up. I have however, read enough posts to confirm that nearly all SL2 fans are dead against this imposition on our League. We were promised at the time of reconstruction that promotion would be on merit not some "funny handshake"arrangement between the SPFL and the Old Firm. Like many I will not be going to games which I normally do and I sincerely hope that the boards' of clubs think long before they sell their sole to false promises(again) as were shafted on false promises at reconstruction.
  2. Yer name POOH sums up yer mentality muppet and yer brains are full of it. Obviously you are lacking in the in the grey matter. The P & B Forums are full of knobs like you who contribute SFA to any dialogue about the game and are more content to start Flame Wars
  3. Slow burning embers IMO. You get brownie points for being ahead of ICT from any City fan though
  4. Dumbarton v Elgin City:Personal opinion but I see this as a poor draw for the City. Notwithstanding the fact that the Sons are not setting the heather on fire this season, the reasonable expectation is that we will get beaten by a team two leagues up. At this stage of the Cup, teams at our level are usually looking for a team we could reasonably expect to beat at home(excluding shocks such as Lothian Thistle but that appears to be down to the goalie if the Binos fans are to be believed this morning and teams from the junior leagues such as Glens(Boness Utd beating us still lives in the memory) and then get one of the big boys in the 4th round. So far this season we have been struggling to get a settled team and results have been indifferent with a win here and then losing at Berwick after going 2-0 up and then losing 3-2. Hopefully our new manager,Gavin Price who was our assistant until Jim Weir left recently, provides continuity but we need to get some fire power up front and sort out the defensive frailties we appear to suffer from. The good news is that Shane Sutherland (our top scorer last season and SPFL Div 2 Player of the Year)is on his way back after a Crucial Ligament injury but when and how match fit he will be is not known. Cannot see many City fans travelling for this one, just the usual culprits who travel to away games.
