Double Winning St Johnstone FC Thread

Is there Any chance of keeping Hendry and Rooney? Assuming Clark is a def goner. How long is Hallberg signed for as if he can stay injury free I think he can di a job. -
Do you want Rangers to win the Europa League final?
St Innes replied to Miguel Sanchez's topic in Scots in Europe
I want them to win unless one fan gets arrested or until I hear a bigoted song. -

This season is the first that I can remember since we got promoted that no pundits predicted that Saints would be relegation candidates. I actually went with this and thought that we would be challenging for third despite losing Jason and Ali. Ironically this may well be the season we go down. Even early in the season things looked ok with Europe and some decent performances in the league. Downhill all the way since then though! Utter pish and mostly down to CD with his signings, team selection and sticking with a too obvious system that does not work. First time in many years that we will not be the top team in Tayside. Some of our most exciting seasons however have been in the second tier! -

Well done Rangers for stopping the treble. Now just need the Jambos to give you a doing in the final. -

Hibs much the better team from the 22nd minute and should really have at least taken it to extra time. Looked like they had the extra man in the second half. Lucky that there is no var though as they could have been down to 8. -

Just thinking that this was the first pre-season that I can remember that none of the usual pundits had Saints down for relegation. Just shows how much they know! -

Have to say that I was not surprised at this. Had given him the benefit of the doubt but he had to win this and the game v Dundee or he had to go so go it is! -
Well done Hibs! Only bad thing about today's result is that Celtic have won the League Cup

Celtic hitting a bit of form. Saint defensively pish. Looks like a nil nil draw to me. -
Rangers vs Hibernian - 03/10/21
St Innes replied to Ulises de la Cruz's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Hibs looked the better team until the sending off but that was a def red even if it did not connect. Could well have won that game the way it was going. Doesn't quite make up for the dodgy penalty they got last week though! -
Unfortunately those home defeats have all come in our more recent European ventures. Hopefully this time we will take advantage of another great away performance!

Well if you said in November that Saints would qualify for Europe through their league position, win the league cup and be in the final of the Scottish people would have said that you were off your head. Remember some of the panic merchants were even talking about relegation and that Davidson should go! How wrong they were. Even back then there was the basis of a very good team but they found it very difficult to buy a goal and lacked confidence against the big boys. Saints usually do much better from the Christmas break for some reason. Now to round off what may possibly our best ever season a win next week please. -
I would disagree. He usually has it right by the last quarter rather than the initial set up.

Second half better in both games. Why not get it right from the start?

Gone back to a formation that did not work. I have given CD the benefit of the doubt so far but if this doesn't work fek him!

Doubt it. No big shock this week and the run of trophy wins is already a bust on two counts.
